  • When Aditya Bal visits the ancient village of Hampi, part of the historic Vijaynagar Empire, he uncovers lost recipes that gain a new identity. Under the shadow of Anjaneya Hill, the birthplace of Lord Hanuman, he finds forgotten recipes waiting to be rediscovered. Rajmata Chandrakanta Devi revives the royal kitchen after 250 years, making a simple ingredient like the egg extraordinary. Aditya Bal also meets Shama Pawar, who shares the unique history of the Kalyani Chalukya Dynasty, known for mastering all 64 arts of living, including cooking. During his journey, Aditya discovers "Vijaynagar style dum ke andey" and "manasollasa ka meetha," an ancestor of the modern-day Gulab Jamun.     Such a lovely concept. I wish we could have recipes ingredients to try and keep these traditions alive. If at any point a book is published, will get that as well

    Been to Hampi with my parents and all siblings a long time ago when I lived in Mysore. Interesting that they speak in Hindi although it’s in Karnataka. This can only happen south India lol. PS: pls avoid loud ohhh haaa folk music… it’s distracting and a bit annoying. Love the series otherwise 😊. All these royal families have a certain grace and charm!
