One day I’m gonna own one. Recently just bought Tesla model 3 2021 standard range at 22, turning 23 in a few months and now I’m eyeing a Porsche macan S. Ugh but I truly want to own one when I have way more investments etc.
It depends on what you are looking for. If you love to drive the Macan handles like a hot hatch and no suv will compete with it. But if you just need something simple to get from point A to B anything cheaper will do.
@@arnoagur7777 Bought a 2024 base , Oddly it was built exactly like a T but not a T. Also has the PASM/Air ride. Love it. Went with the base over the S because the base seamed to be a little more nimble around town, where we'll mostly be using it
Great presentation. However, buying a CPO Macan would decrease initial cost by at least 10K (any trim). Most Porsche Macan CPOs are curtesy cars less than 6 months old. Porsche CPOs add 24 months to a brand new 4 yr warranty start date...the real savings would occur if the Macan's handling helped prevent an accident vs driving a lesser handling SUV...not challenging the cost numbers presented here - get a CPO and sell after 5 years while still under warrenty and the cost of ownership will be significantly less than selling the same identical car out of warranty...however, Maie chose a Macan T and a CPO T is much harder to find than either the base or S model. While base Macans and S model CPOs are as common as water, good luck finding a current CPO T.
This is a wonderful primer on how not to be wealthy... drive a Corolla, put the balance in an SP500 index fund. In 2030, buy a metric toolset and a 2025 Macan. 😉
A car isa bad investment put that total monthly payment in a mutual fund dollar cost average an after 72 months you can buy a real Porsche 911 or just keep reinvesting.
Yes, that bugged me too. I wonder if it's a regional thing where she is from that makes her say cent. ...but I didn't notice any other accent. It was odd.
If it’s one penny, then it’s one cent. If it’s more than a single penny, then it’s cents… for the love of everything that is holy, don’t forget the ‘S’ Pluralize the word. One cent. Two cents! Hope this helps.😊
If you need to finance 100% of the cost over 6 years, you can’t afford the car.
If the apr is low then I’m financing
My daughter is my Porsche😂, all these funds went to her college funding
Good man. 124k for total cost for a fancy 4 litre is nuts. Hopefully she remains sane during college years. Best!
I have a 2022 Macan and I can say your estimated costs are accurate....just ordered my 2025 Macan T.....rinse and repeat.....LOL
How much was the total cost of ownership for those 3 years ?
Not getting the electric?
@@slk-qz4fn you have no choice ---- it is only available in electric

Owning one of these vehicles privately is foolish. Have to do it through a business entity so you can deduct most of the costs involved.
this is simple math for me. You always need 3x the income of the car's purchase price, or have 10x the net worth in cash or other assets
Great video! Straight to the point! I subscribed!
How about the new glc 300 Coupe?
Great review! Totally on point.
these vehicles are realistically leased for the most part. people with that money always want one relatively new and can afford to do so
I can afford one no problem...
The real question - is it worth it ?
It cost almost twice as much to buy and own then other small SUVs

Did you account for income tax? $142K net is more like $190K+ before taxes
I’m sure it’s 142k gross
Cents are plural.
This was helpful. I would like to hear about the Jag I pace and F pace
It’s cents not cent. If it is one then it is cent example it cost one cent, if it’s more than 1 it is cents example it costs 38 cents.

That’s the way
NEVER, EVER pay interest on a depreciating asset! Mainly a luxury item..Just a dumb financial move...
Buy a used 2015’ for $15k, looks almost the same as the 2024.
Drive Toyota - live better save money WALMART
If you are concerned with interest, monthly use and maintenance costs don’t buy a Macan. It’s not for you.

Lease if going new do not buy! Buy if going used add the warranty, the depreciation his awful.
CENTS CENTS CENTS
Seriously how hard is it to say CENTS
Yes, that bugged me too. I wonder if it's a regional thing where she is from that makes her say cent. ...but I didn't notice any other accent. It was odd.
What's the point in speaking out the cents, especially when you keep reminding us that it's "about", or an average.
Urgh.
All that for a 4 cylinder crossover 😂

It’s her accent chill
Do GLC300 Sportsback
TY!
Expensive not worth it
I will just pay cash omg 😳🙄
