damn dude i havnt seen a grown man roller skate since at least 2002. good on ya. this adventure has been pretty bad ass so far. cant wait to see what happens
Brought me back to trips with my Dad on our Albin 43’, I loved going down the East River. Funny I felt a little sea sick when you were on land roller blading. Look forward watching the journey. Hope it was a fun adventure.
Thank you so much for this adventure. I've enjoyed it so much I'm sitting here in California watching it on an 82 inch TV because I couldn't handle watching it on my phone any longer. Thank you so much. Plugjug cannabis farm Grass Valley California.
I like your videos and I'm in the middle of watching them. Since you are a mechanic, it would be nice to see a detailed video explaining the condition your diesel engines were in and everything you did to get them to chooch properly. How many hours, what you purchased, etc. Thanks for the content!
Very cool trip. Just found your channel and subscribed. I like your boat. I have a 36' trawler and am planning on doing the great loop next year. We hope to stop at the statue of Liberty like you did on our way by. When you have a chance, maybe you could tell us about your boat too. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
Yo!! I am right in Hoboken along the water. You would have ridden right past my office on the way to the train. Love your videos, and seeing you guys home turf was awesome! I'm taking my 24' CC out into the Hudson for the first time this year and I think your trip down the East River confirmed what I knew: I'm just going to stay out of it. Seems like trying to go upstream, especially on an outgoing tide, is just too hairy. Onto the next video ....
@@InTooDeepBro The old guy approves. My feet hurt just THINKING of all that in-line skating...but it's faster than flat-foot'n it! 🛼 🗽 You're live'n the dream. 👍
Grab yourself one of them Chinese diesel heaters, we had a Ranger 35ft (bit like yours). Get a good quality hull fitting and easy as to install. Never a cold boating trip again for us down here in little Tasmania Australia. Love the channel, keep up the good work mate. All the best
Good idea! The main cabin heat for the boat runs off of the starboard engine (Its a heater core heater) so for heat I need to run the engine. I will have to look into the diesel heater for when anchored! Thank you for the support!
Enjoying the videos, nice job! One question...why is it nice and sunny everyday and it does not seem very cold? I was in NY end of January and it was really cold!
great video , I believe I would of just toured form the boat , I am 68 Nh never been to NYC but I drive though NY a few times a year I just sty in up state, way to many people around the city for me.
When you put the cover over the stove on shut down, put come folded towels under the board and some weight on that and you should have peace and quiet.

@@jamessandman3708 sorry I should have been more clear. Inlets like Matanzas in St Augustine inlet Boca inlet south Florida have some very strong currents. If not timed correctly, they will overpower a trawler without sufficient speed……like mine….possibly like yours as well. I do 8knots. Some of those currents reach 7.
@@seanlathbury5410 Gotchya, sometimes my sailboat will ride a current like a following sea and try to turn it sideways and over if I don't "surf it right". You are right, I've basically been in irons and then done a 180 with a strong current on my bow. It seems to me that more accidents come from hurrying your course or ignoring the weather than anything else.
Take a closer look at your charts. Heading South on the East River from Hellgate, QUEENS is on your Port Side, NOT LONG ISLAND. When you were in the Bay opposite the Statue of Liberty the bridge to the South of you that you identified as the George Washington Bridge was the the Narrows-Verrazano Bridge between Staten Island and Brooklyn. The GW is 20 miles North on the Hudson River and connects Fort Lee, NJ with Washington Heights, Manhattan. FYI....I am 84 years old and grew up on the NJ side of the Hudson River. My boating in the area began when I was 1.5 years old on my Father's first cabin cruiser.
I saw a vid where they were told to just use one engine. they still did 8-10 knots, but high revs 2500 were better for the engine than 1200 plus the fuel consumption was a bit better. so better wear and tear on those engines. Just saying
"I don't know if we're supposed to be anchored in front of the Statue of Liberty........but we are." *LOL* I love it! Great video.
While "it's too late to apologize" played in the background lol
I am catching up on your videos. What a great video of the Statue of Liberty and New York at night. Great stuff!

Great video. I am looking forward to taking the East River through NYC, but hadn't figured on so much current. Timing is everything. Nice.

Just signed up!! Fantastic!! Great courage after your beaching. I'll be watching 👀 your adventures. CHEERS
Thank you for watching!
The Hells Gate current is so bad that trawlers and sailboats under power have to wait for the tide to help them thru
Great channel. I have a boat in Jamaica bay. Dreaming of snagging a trawler like you. Keep up the content cheers

You’re in my old cruising territory. The waters there can get crazy with current and boat traffic
Is that a single engine diesel just curious I don't really care how fast I go nowadays long as it's efficient I can keep you safe and I'm following

You could fine some silicone rubber pads for the stove
What an awesome day.
Dude stop off in Maryland on ur next trip and we will hop on take us down to the keys please
Did you have any previous boating experience before this Boat?
Years of day boat experience inland and offshore, but this is my first big boat/twin diesel trawler
A solid day
Omg I lived at the Shipyard for YEARS
Nice video. Just keep in mind, heavy current slow boat…..in Florida it can kick your ass.
What does that mean? A heavy current makes a boat slow or go slow to avoid getting your ass kicked?

Correction: I should have stated the obvious, alcohol and ignorance are still the number 1 and 2 causes.
