I'm so jealous of the new AL models and the color schemes. I just got a SL5 last year and am already planning on how I can scoop an AL up as a backup 😂
Oh my, finally a useful and insightful video packed with key info to give an idea what kind of experience to expect. Thank you TREK, looks like I found my next bike...
The Domane is capable of green and blue mountain bike trails as well. I trojan on the gravel and smooth on the pave. I don't need anything else. Di2 105 is amazing. Kudos. Good Ride
I know it’s not top of the line per se yet I’m super excited to receive mine soon - was only available in matte lithium gray which is my favourite colour anyways 😬. Beats the Target Kent I’ve been riding 😜 no pan intended though, it was 2 big for me yet TBH that one did its job & now I discovered a new, even if $$$$. I know I can be great or so help me God 😅 thanks all road cyclists 🚴 who let me tag along & I observed them & learned 🙌 awesome community if one finds those wonderful people. ❤
I’ve got a Gen IV carbon domane. It’s a great bike, but the seat slippage is an ongoing problem. The AL bike should be better because there is no iso system in the seat post. Hopefully Trek drop the iso for the carbon domanes in the future.
Great Bike i Love my Emonda ALR what i Build up by myself with Sram Red AXS and realy light Wheels from Leeze it weighs just 7.1kg/15,65 lbs with Pedlas and Bottlecages. So this will be my next Projekt perhaps with some Sram xplr 🤔
I have Domane AL gen 3, I was surprised by how stiff the BB area is even tho it's an aluminum bike. Now the gen4 with straighter top tube, inner cable, and slight drop in chainstay really make it looks smarter. Unfortunatelly they don't provide frameset for this haha
The surface of the upper carbon part of the front fork of the bicycle in the video is It looks like a smooth matte surface treatment. However, the surface of the carbon part of my bicycle has been treated to make it look like it is exposed, and there are small scratches on it, making it look like it has been used. Is something different?
No. I asked using the chat on the Trek website. He said that the gap between Al 2 and Al 3 is too small so they didn't make an AL 3 Gen 4. I think I am going with the AL 4.
Trek why no water bottle mount on seat tube for the 44. Now I have pay to have it done. The bike will be 1x so the collar will not be an issue. Also I measured another one of my bikes and the seat tube is the same length so this is not a problem. Can you refund the cost of install
I've waited 2 month for this bike and when it arrive it had scratches underneath the clear coat (which they offered me a $60 discount, lol). Even worse they just swapped the crankset with some cost cutting one and didn't even said a word until I pointed it out, as if I'm too dumb to notice. It makes me mad that I payed premium for a brand which treats their customers like trash and has absolute no pride in the products they deliver. Rant over.

Trek have basically copy/paste what Ribble CGR (Cross, Gravel , Road)already is. From geometry to carbon forks to eyelets. But with companies like Ribble your frame is built in UK and not some sweat shop in China.Trek are trying to break into market which is already saturated.
Trek has had carbon forks on AL for years. My first AL3 from 4 years ago has a carbon fork. The extra mount points isn't some "OMG, so revolutionary"...it is just adding what people asked for. The domane geometry hasn't really changed in a decade either. So somehow comparing it against Ribble is just asinine. Dishonest comments with political undertones I guess is the way of the internet these days. So...how is Brexit going for yah. ;)
Hopefully they have better senses and make their bikes in Taiwan to ensure high quality engineering and manufacturing! Look for that made in Taiwan label!

I just bought a Trek dual sport 2 gen 5
Love you Trek.
Love from India 🇮🇳

I have a 3rd generation DomaneAL, but I want a 4th generation as well!
I'm looking forward to purchasing it in Japan!

All the accessories mounted at 2:34 😂
I could bikepack across Canada with that setup!
😅
That you could 🧐
@@trekbikes as an FX 2 rider the past 2 years, I'd gladly embark on that adventure and vlog it if you sent me one 🥲
I love my Domane SL4, a great all rounder!
Had a 2014 carbon model with Ultegra. Great bike. Super comfy.
Looks great! Going to be interesting to see how it will be to commute on.🎉
Trek thanks for bringing back the 44cm. Also please make the madone and emonda in a 44

Capable? Maybe… but not sure too maybe people want to be riding down a blue actual mtb trail on a road bike 😅

One bike to do it all 😊
i just ordered an AL 5 Gen 4 and I don't understand why I can't get it in white like the AL4. It's crazy because it's the same frame.
When will this model be available in Australia?
So, this would be a great allrounder to pair with a cheap used mountain bike in the garage for bumpier stuff.

Can you do a video showing AL 5 Lichen Green outdoors?
We don't have any clips of that bike in the wild, but if you visit your local Trek retailer, they might have one in-store for you to view!
So excited!!!
I hope they have improved their paint job because the decals on mine were easily scraped off.

Forgive me as I’m quite new to cycling. Is this an AL2 Gen 4? Any help would be appreciated.

Ciao sono indeciso fra la trek domane Al2 gen 4 e l Al4 gr
hey. can i put on those rimms a gravel tires 700x35 ?
Why did the TREK logo get smaller? The bigger logo was nicer!
Can I change the chainring from to 52/36 with damaging the frame ?
The Domane AL Gen 4 can accept a max chainring setup as 1x: 50T or 2x: 50/34T. A 52/36T chainring will not fit and will hit the frame.
Too bad thry didn't offer the viper red of the AL4 on my gen 4 SL6.
Is there Gen 4 for AL3?

Omg two kilos heavier than the rim and that cheap chinese aluminium instead of the older lighter one. And premium price 😴
I don't think Trek changed the material. Tube shapes got a bit simple due probably to change in factory from Taiwan to Cambodia.
