Remaking an old video game is a really tricky situation, it’s not just making the same game just with better visuals, you have to add improvements to things that made the original versions flawed.

A remake of Top 15 most hated characters list. It be nice to see how his opinions have changed since then (Well except for one character whose name rhymes with "Blaster Rat Who-near")
If there's any countdown I would like to see remade, it's Top 15 Craziest Characters. That video was what drew me into the channel and been a fan since. Been 12 whole years, so I'd love to see it brought into modern day and see who takes the slots this time
Mafia 1 definitive edition is one of the most well designed remakes I've ever seen. The facial animations add so much personality to the characters, the new battle theme carries a Lietmotif of the game's main theme, the moral was changed, and the car bomb scene was improved.
You know, I would love to see you and Alex team up one last time and remake your most hated characters list. I still love the old one, but it would be fun to see if any of them have changed.
you know what should have been at least an honorable mention: the Spyro Reignited trilogy. The original 3 spyro games on the PS1 were a big part of my childhood, and to get to relive those memories with modern visuals, and new and better voice acting, makes me feel very nostalgic.

I'd like to mention Yakuza Kiwami 2 here. Not only did the graphics improve leaps and bounds with the Dragon Engine, they added so much extra content it's a whole nother game!
I'm so happy to see Samus Returns on here! I watched all of the other good Metroid games on RUclips this year in timeline order, but a friend of mine had Samus Returns, so I decided to borrow it from him and play it instead of just watching it, and man, am I glad I did. Some of the big boss fights were pretty challenging, but I love the music and the environmental exploration, and playing as Samus felt just as empowering as I thought it would.
Thank you for mentioning Super Mario 64DS! So many people just downgrade that remake so much. It was one if my favorite childhood DS games and it's always a pleasure to go back to. Glad to hear someone actually liking it as much as I did growing up.
Really happy to see someone else finally give Twin Snakes some well deserved credit! I've heard all the reasons why the original is superior, and 95% of them can be boiled down to plain nostalgia in my opinion. It's easily one of the most fun games on the GC, and it's a shame that so many fans have a bad impression of it considering it improves on the original in almost every way.
Love at the end when ari asked which of joshs old video game company mess up list should be remade the way he screamed ari remains me of the Flintstones
I think, like that British Hare Plumber once said, Firered/Leafgreen did so much to improve Pokemon Red/Blue to make it playable and really set the standard. I’ve also heard my fair share of praises from people who played ORAS, but there’s a reason so many look back at HGSS so fondly, me included! Sure, the original Gold and Silver aren’t as unplayable as the original, but the fact is, HGSS did all of what Gold and Silver did, but BETTER.
It is CRIMINAL that more people don't know about the Donkey Kong Country remakes for the Game Boy Advance. One of my favorite video game series from my childhood, made PORTABLE, with new music, new minigames, new bosses, and a new WORLD for DKC3! The only negative parts, in my opinion, are some of the reused sound effects for DKC3, the fact that you have to pay Banana Coins to replay boss levels in DKC2, and the added hoops you have to jump through for 100% completion in DKC3.
I was a Pokemon fan raised spoiled, since my first Pokemon game was Alpha Sapphire. Knowing that it (technically if you squint) made it to No.1 fills me with a sense of pride, since I played that game FOR SO LONG. Yeah, either I *REALLY* loved that game or I was a massive idiot to attempt 100% completion.
19:55 Honestly, what I liked the most about this remake was the art style they went with. It retains the pixel appearance while giving a 3D feel. Honestly, makes me want a PMD: Explorers remake in this style over Rescue Team DX's modern 3D. And yeah, it reminded me of Gen IV and V Pokémon.
I'm surprised Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia wasn't on this list. Granted, despite being a remake it didn't change too much during the meat of the story aside from adding a prologue and new characters like Ferdinand, Conrad and Berkut. Outside of that, Alm and Celica's stories remanded the same though more heart tugging as we have more context for things and the characters are fleshed out. I still tear up reading Sonya and Genny's supports. The game also had a mild post game that offered lore about Archenea that may seem like something new only to turn into the Fell Dragon. That's probably where most points come in as anything else is DLC, mild alterations or locked behind the game's related Amiibos. I still would have at least had it as an honorable mention. As for HGSS, I agree that it was the best remake with FRLG coming in second if only for the Sevii Isles, something ALL GEN 1 REMAKES SHOULD HAVE. I can't even be mad that the Sevii Isles weren't in HGSS because there's so much already. If we get another Gen 2 remake, would I like them be unlocked in the Kanto section? Certainly. It'd be a fantastic way of expanding the world while also making it home to more other region Pokemon. I think HGSS thrives because it not only makes the game beautiful(while also kicking Kris to the curb and giving Gold a false name) but it adds new themes, new scenes and the Suicune plot from Crystal as a subplot for the remakes. Hell, a highlight is always seeing how they flesh out Silver even without the Celebi event. They added a double battle event where you and Silver battle Clair and Lance and upon winning, you and Silver are not only still rivals but more akin to friends. Is he still going to be an ass? Sure but he's only doing it because he knows you can take it and you know he really cares now. ORAS at one point was in the runnings for best PKMN remake but as stated here it has higher highs and lower lows, one of which for me was the Safari Zone being turned into another route as I loved the OG Safari Zone and spent literal hours in there in Ruby. There were also less Emerald elements and while yes there were two teams so that would be harder, making the Safari Zone the Emerald Safari Zone and having encounters only in Emerald would have been nice. The biggest kick in the teeth was no proper battle Frontier and instead the Kalos bootleg. I would have been happier with just the Battle Tower honestly. I think what stung more is that I was hyped as hell for the game being someone who first played a Hoenn game and despite hoping for HGSS styled remakes I got copy paste Ruby and Sapphire with things removed. Which is sad as I liked how it looked.
Nice finish. Ari should make an appearance on every Pokemon entry, like when you talked about Whitney’s miltank in your difficulty spikes list. The only thing that could make this appearance better is sprinkling in some puns.
HeartGold and SoulSilver are perfect imo. Johto is, and always will be, my favorite Pokémon region and generation. I hope the Legacy of Kain series gets a remake/remaster someday, as well as a sequel!
A video to be remade? It'd be beautiful for me to see the top 10 saddest moments be remade because that video is the first RUclips video I watched, it opened my eyes to so much content and so many great content creators.
The funny thing with game remakes is they're kind of the opposite of film remakes. You're much more likely to find a game remake that's either as good as or better than the original whereas with film remakes, there are some that outdo the original, but most of them don't.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is a fantastic remake in my opinion. The leap shows quite clearly with the stuff you can do that you couldn’t in the original, not to mention how detailed the character customization is now. Hat’s off to Vicarious Visions for that.
Gee, Josh! I thought you were the one who wore the pants in this household! Also, to answer Ari's question... The Top 10 Saddest Video Game Moments. The saddest part of that video is that the first half of the video (the one on Alex Rochon's channel) doesn't have any sound in it, so we miss out on over half of the sadness that we're suppose to be experiencing.
I feel like the Yakuza Kiwami games deserved a mention. As they not only improved the voice acting from the PS2 games, but made the overall system better by using a similar engine to Yakuza 0. Sure they can feel grindy at times, but then again, what Yakuza game isnt?
one thing I also like is that since 0 itself is a really good entry point story wise, the Kiwami duo took advantage of that by having some new side content that calls back to the shenanigans both Kiryu & Majima ended up in during their early adventures like some of the new Majima conversations using context from Majima's story.
Remake versus remaster... so there was a difference 10. I can see why it ranked at the bottom. This was my first foray into this game while I did know about the twist. 9. Well I never heard of the original and I could see why 8. Well done on giving some background on the games that never made it westward 7. Retro Studio's revived the franchise with this game. I was really lucky to be a fan at that point 6. Saw the let's play by GS and it was well worth it 5. Yeah, I'm with you Josh. I never completed the game, but I see the DS remake as better. 4. This remake is MINDBLOWING! Almost as much as the current smash run 3. Was this the inspiration for this list? Maybe... 2. Now if only the third game was half as good as this one... 1. Excellent choice Josh! Oh also hi Ari!
Nice that Live a Live got the bronze! Really though, having played the original game via the fan translation a few times over,myself...the hype train I got on was going full speed ahead, wailing the whistle every so often And when it came out...oh boy did it not disappoint, with the remade visuals, audio, reimaginings and expansions of the maps from the original...and especially that twist at the end, when I thought all was said and done like in the original! (If you wanna know what I'm talking about, either look it up yourself,or play the game, since I'm not spoiling anything)
having not played the original myself but having it at least on my radar thanks to me & friends liking to talk niche games, going from "there's a name I never thought I'd see again" to "BEST FINAL BOSS EVER" was something.
They did such a good job with Samus Returns that they basically got the go ahead to basically continue the series with Dread which is the best of Metroid we got since Super Metroid.
One thing I love about Final Fantasy 7 remake over the original (at least so far) is how they portray Cloud. Imo, it did a much better job at portraying him as a socially awkward dork trying his best to be a stoic badass. I know that’s what they were going for in the original, but I don’t think it really appeared that way until near the end. At least that’s what it felt like to me anyway
So… about FF7R… that game is more of a sequel to the Original Final Fantasy 7 timeline then a remake. The REMAKE in the name had another significance then that. And before you say anything, Sephiroth is the same we saw in the OG timeline and Aerith got her memories front the OG timeline… as well as maybe other timelines.
I vehemently disagree that RE2 remake is above RE1 remake. PErsonally, I;ve put RE2 classic and RE2 remake in the same their for things that both bring to the table. I want to list the reason why I personally don't think RE2 remake is a top tier remake: -Removal of content: While there were thing added to the game, there were also alotr removed -Zapper system: Action made in one characters story affects the other characters story. While there weren't that many in the original game, the ones that were there left players with decision the affect both characters playthrough. -Diferent bosses: With the exception of the final boss (and the alligator if you count it),. both Leon and Claire fight the same bosses in the remake. Not so in the original game. More on that in the next reason -Differnt stories. This is mainly in the different A/B plot (or 1st and 2nd in the remake). In the remake, Leon1/Claire2 & Claire1&L:eon2 follow the exact same story, the only difference is different puzzle solutions and slightly different layout of police station. Other than those points, the playthroughs are exactly the same. In the original, the A campaign was different to the B campaign. EX: The B character will be stalked by Mr. X while the A character almost never runs into him (and there is a reason as to why explained in the game). "A" story bosses are different to "B" story bosses. Characters die in different ways (ex in Leon A/Claire B Anette is killed by falling debrie while in Claire A/Leon B annette dies from G-Birkin killing her; Ada "dies" differently in Leon A when compared to Leon B, etc). There a lot more I want to say, but a TL;DR is that in the remake it feels like the same double campaign repeated just with different puzzle solution while the original feels like four distinct stories being told. -Story inconsistencies: This is a lead off from the previous section but there are a few errors when trying to tell the entire story of both Leon & Claire's journey in the remake. Its not bad on an individual level, but combined is when issues emerge. The two most prominent being Mr. X and Annette. The is only 1 Mr. X in the story, so how is it that he continues chasing Leon down to be the final boss if he's killed by Kirkin halfway though Claire's story. For Annette, she dies in two different places: on one side of a catwalk after the rest falls apart separating her from the rest of the facility in Leon's story, and in the side/rest room near the Lab's entrance in Claire's story. Another (but more minor) issues is how each character gets to the lab, both characters use the tram but it loses power after it arrives at the lab and the second character will find note on the trasms door saying the first character went back which never happened during your playthrough. This is a little detail I love in the original game is that the "B" campgain has to call the tram back to the sewer as the "A" character already used it. There's also inconsistencies when the remake is linked up to other games. Capcom put out a list of gamer for RE timeline (they didn't put every canon game on there, just the main story ones) and on it both RE2 remake and RE3 remake are there, but also Um,brella Chronicles, Darkside Chronicles, and the Outbreak games, and these three game contradict RE2make and RE3make mulitplie times. The worst part is that its an amazing game. The gameplay is an improvement, the graphics are excellent, and the voice acting is amazing (although I do prefer Mercer's Leon and Court's Claire more). Its just that so much is removed or made messier in the remake that I don't consider it a fantastic remake, its still a good remake, just below RE1make in terms of "remake-ness". You can also see these issues as being contributing reason to RE3makes negative response as the similar things happened and its these reason why I'm terrified about the RE4make. I hope its fantastic, but there have been leaks about things being removed already and I feel like Capcom will over use the "Massive enemy chases player" and drive it into the ground over the course of RE4make's story. Sorry for the long post, But I just wanted to say something about it .
2:58 the fact that waking up from a dream will retcon everyone your imagination made for the dream is a really creative take on the repercussions of the cliche "dream all along" twist. sorry for the run-on sentence lol
*nods to Josh's list and fangirls with Ari over pokemon* Love the vid and I actually have played a solid 80% of these so agreeing with the updates done on the newer vers is easy to do since I experienced them myself too~!!! ARI YA QUEEN!!! SONG VIDS PLEASE!!! Listening to Josh talk about music is always a treat and cuz Josh+Music=New Playlist~~!!
Personally I would add Megaman Maverick Hunter X as a good remake. It polished up the graphics, gave the bosses more personality that made fighting them more enjoyable/tragic, and the voice acting was amazing with X and Zero’s voice being the highlights. Though the Megaman series is one near and dear to my heart so I’m a bit bias there.
While I love Oath in Felghana and think that it's easily one of the best Ys games by far, the footage used in its section was for a completely different Ys III remake that also came out on the PS2 that was made by a different developer.
I'm not sure how that footage made it into the video considering that the remake shown (made by Taito for the ps2) is obscure, even by Ys standards, and is very different from what Josh is describing. From what I have heard, it is also not nearly as good as Oath in Felghana and might be worse than the original to play.
Hm, a very interesting list, fair and valid points and opinions, i wonder what kind of Remakes we’ll see next? I will look forward to see what you come up with next.
If Ari and Josh were seriously asking, I want them to rethink their Top 5 Non-Disney villain songs! 😎 I Need A Hero from Shrek 2 should have been an Honorable Mention because it is a cover of an already existing song, and I’m debating whether his number one pick should qualify since it didn’t make it into the finished film. 🧐 Also, watch some hand-drawn non-Disney movies this time! There was seriously no room on your list for the villain songs from The Prince Of Egypt, The Swan Princess, Ferngully, or Anastasia?! 🤨
I will have to agree completely with Ari that SoulSilver and HeartGold needs a Switch version. I love the remakes of Kanto, Hoenn and Sinnoh, but the Jotho region has to be next!
I am so happy my favorite Pokemon game was #1. And Ari, great Pokemon segment as always. Next, we need a remake of Pokmon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/The Sky
My only problem with Super Mario 64 DS is why it has to have a run botton and so far away from the jump botton, literally at the oposite side of the botton pad.
Josh the moment you mentioned Pokémon ney the Johto region of HeartGold and SoulSilver you should've known Ari would've swooped in and steal your Thunder especially when Gen 2 is her baby XD And oooh the choices for a remake. How do I pick!?
My opinion about this Top 10: 10 - Yeah, Link’s Awakening remake has cute graphics. It makes me smile. 9 - That’s one classic game. Special props goes to Leon Magnus’ storyline: It makes him more sympathetic that he’s actually was (albeit in an unintentional way, sort of) 8 - Two Ys series games in the same place? I didn’t expected that. Shout out for the Adol fangirls! 7 - Metroid really deserved that remake. Federation Force was nothing but a farce. 6 - What is this? Metal Gear? Nice... Now my anger towards Konami is fueled up to eleven. 5 - I like SM64DS’ multiple players 4 -FFVII Remake is nice. But now I’m waiting for FFIX remake... If it’s still true. 3 - Ha! Called it! I was also surprised to see new content in the game, like the new final boss battle and the new ending. Where’s my port for PS4 and PC, Square Enix? 2 - One of the best survival horror games is there. The remake is a piece of work. 1 - Oh, HGSS. Compared to Kanto, Johto is underrated. Even if l like Cyndaquil and Chikorita. They’re cute.
Okay a hilarious moment happened for me as I'm watching on mobile and don't have premium. The moment Ari hijacked the countdown and said "Look at me" an ad played. It was like...perfectly timed 😆
OG Final Fantasy 7 came out in my birth year So, i loved that they remade it so I can actually play a Final Fantasy 7 in beautiful graphics Ari come on give him a break......... Actually I wouldn't mind some Redone lists Maybe ones that he now has more Hindsight on what he may have thought now
Josh, you should have just conceded to Ari. Remember, "She doesn't make the rules. She just runs your life." This was a great countdown though. It does point to some games when I have the time. I am really looking forward to more in the future. If Ari wasn't fully joking at the end, I would love a remake of Top 10 Music Battles. It's my favorite and I'm interested to see how it has expanded today.
Omg I started playing Pokémon on HeartGold and SoulSilver, I was 9 when they came out! I fell in love with them then, and I still love them now. If there was any game I would argue for a modern re-master of, it would be those two. Good to see I’m not the only one who loves them so much!
I would've liked to see the Crash N Sane Trilogy or the Spyro Reignited Trilogy on here, but I can see why people would see them more as remasters rather than remakes.
For me my favorite remakes: -Pokémon heart gold and soul sliver(this would be my Pokémon game if wasn’t black and white duology) -undertale bits and piece, granted this a fan made, but still -Kirby super star ultra(the only problem is harder to do co-op)
The remake for Resident Evil 2 is what made me become a fan of not only the franchise, but also to try out a gaming genre I NEVER THOUGHT I would enjoy due to my fear on horror. But once you beat the game, OH MY GOD IT FELT LIKE I WON A GOLD MEDAL FOR THE OLYMPICS AND IT WAS AMAZING!!
30:00 I love how the EA Fails video is in there even though it hasn't been half a decade since the release of that video. But let's face it, EA is such a 'fuck-up' in the video game industry they can make 100 bad moves in the span of four years whereas most other game companies make that many bad moves in a span of at least 20 years.
I had an idea for a video. Would you do one on evil organizations? Ranking them by their theme, efforts, progress, and on their successes and failures? There are so many villain groups throughout games and it can even be separated between single games having many groups or franchises with more focuses. It can even Segway into a failed subordinates list of henchmen who fundamentally failed without player intervention and why they stick around anyways or are dealt with, and maybe a pitty factor.
@@zaneheaston8254 Only times I notice a drop in quality was in multiplayer. Single player played fine and this is from someone who did every achievement in the game.
@@zaneheaston8254 That’s a cute opinion. Did a RUclipsr give it to you? Also, the Luigi’s Mansion 3DS remake runs perfectly fucking fine as someone who’s actually PLAYED the fucking game.
***Spoilers!! HeartGold and SoulSilver deserved their spot on the list. I've poured hundreds of hours into the game. Also, it is very baffling that having your Pokemon walk w/ you wasn't made the standard after this game.
Yeah. As someone who never had a GameCube, basically... Destiny (Both the old version and the remake) is what DEFINES Tales than Symphonia to me. Language barrier, yes. But getting past that (and the accusation of being a weeaboo) nets you some good things. So I do encourage stepping out of the people's comfort zone. Now if only they stop milking Symphonia and bring those JP-only Tales to English (Destiny R, Destiny 2, Rebirth...)
I am so glad that I made sure to get my hands on the MGS: Twin Snakes for my Game Cube. Probably going to go play it again now that I watched this episode. (Missed the release due to being on Deployment.)
Why is it that every time I see one of your videos I always know of one game that should have been mentioned but sadly never does get mentioned :( Famicom Detective Club's games are fantastic and highly recommend picking them up Live A Live's remake was also hype by the way
I’ve only played the original Kirby Super Star on emulators. While I still view it as my game of all time, It felt weird not properly owning it. That is, until Ultra came out on DS. It not only modified the cutscenes to make them beautiful in 3D cinematics and updated the in-game graphics, it added new adventures like the Meta Knightmare Ultra mode where you play as Meta Knight. That is the power of a remake: making a once dated experience fresh again while adding more food on the plate. Nice job on that list.👍
@@dragonbornexpress5650 The devs said, although not exacly on these words, something along the lines of: "We will make so many things the previous generation of consoles can't handle so to not cause another cyberpunk 2077 incident we will get it only on ps5." It's the same reason the dlc isn't on ps4.
Out of every remake I've personally played, Kirby Super Star Ultra is the best in my book. It goes significantly farther than just being a DS recreation of the iconic SNES title and adds so many new elements and concepts that have become iconic in their own right. The additional True Arena immediately became a series staple, and the new bosses - Masked Dedede and Galacta Knight - have either returned or been referenced numerous times. The new modes are also just enjoyable in general and even flesh out and expand Dedede and Meta Knight's characters in ways not seen prior. All of this adds up to make a version of Super Star widely believed by fans to be superior in almost every way (some would even argue that it just straight up replaces the original), which is impressive considering how beloved Super Star already was.
Remaking an old video game is a really tricky situation, it’s not just making the same game just with better visuals, you have to add improvements to things that made the original versions flawed.

I'd say massive love... I'm goin for 100% dex on that one myself. That's gonna take a loooong time
@@TSLsmokey I wish you the best of luck.
I like how you used horror movie remakes at the intro. As a slasher fanatic that brought me so much joy.
Ari, you clever little… you gave me the exact opportunity I needed!!! I NEED to know if Josh’s Top Ten Pokémon have changed!!!
If he included a Fire Emblem game here, I'll bet he would have had two hijackings: one by Ari, one by CountShaman.
I haven’t been here in SOOOOO long
I love watching the old YT ogs
The funny thing with game remakes is they're kind of the opposite of film remakes. You're much more likely to find a game remake that's either as good as or better than the original whereas with film remakes, there are some that outdo the original, but most of them don't.
Josh the more you talk about the Ys series gets me more excited that one of these lists will finally have one of the Trails Games on it.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is a fantastic remake in my opinion. The leap shows quite clearly with the stuff you can do that you couldn’t in the original, not to mention how detailed the character customization is now. Hat’s off to Vicarious Visions for that.
As a wise man once said, "Behind every great man, there's a woman... Telling him he's wrong." 😄😄😄
Arie You beautiful glorious devious woman! You and Josh deserve each other! And I wholeheartedly wish long happy lives for both of you!
22:27 I feel your pain. I was doing everything right until I realized I made a one mistake, and I had to start all over again!
The Remake of Paper Mario TTYD would have been on this list had it been released sooner
Remake versus remaster... so there was a difference
10. I can see why it ranked at the bottom. This was my first foray into this game while I did know about the twist.
9. Well I never heard of the original and I could see why
8. Well done on giving some background on the games that never made it westward
7. Retro Studio's revived the franchise with this game. I was really lucky to be a fan at that point
6. Saw the let's play by GS and it was well worth it
5. Yeah, I'm with you Josh. I never completed the game, but I see the DS remake as better.
4. This remake is MINDBLOWING! Almost as much as the current smash run
3. Was this the inspiration for this list? Maybe...
2. Now if only the third game was half as good as this one...
1. Excellent choice Josh! Oh also hi Ari!
Nice that Live a Live got the bronze! Really though, having played the original game via the fan translation a few times over,myself...the hype train I got on was going full speed ahead, wailing the whistle every so often
And when it came out...oh boy did it not disappoint, with the remade visuals, audio, reimaginings and expansions of the maps from the original...and especially that twist at the end, when I thought all was said and done like in the original!
FINALLY MARIO 64 DS GETS THE CREDIT IT DESERVES!
I always knew that Rabbid Luigi was wrong when he said that Super Mario 64 DS was a Bad Remake.
Love you so much for including Ys in these newer countdowns dude
I'm so glad that Ys got some spotlight here. It's an underrated series
I vehemently disagree that RE2 remake is above RE1 remake. PErsonally, I;ve put RE2 classic and RE2 remake in the same their for things that both bring to the table. I want to list the reason why I personally don't think RE2 remake is a top tier remake:
-Removal of content: While there were thing added to the game, there were also alotr removed
-Zapper system: Action made in one characters story affects the other characters story. While there weren't that many in the original game, the ones that were there left players with decision the affect both characters playthrough.
-Diferent bosses: With the exception of the final boss (and the alligator if you count it),. both Leon and Claire fight the same bosses in the remake. Not so in the original game. More on that in the next reason
-Differnt stories.
These top 10 list just get more fun and interesting to watch
Ari is such a troll and I love her for that XD
I love love love the fact that the caps from mario 64 were changed to a different power flower power for each player character
😎
I Need A Hero from Shrek 2 should have been an Honorable Mention because it is a cover of an already existing song, and I’m debating whether his number one pick should qualify since it didn’t make it into the finished film.
🧐
Also, watch some hand-drawn non-Disney movies this time!
You mentioned “the last story”~
I loved that game~❤️
I love Ari. Her ability for chaos is just "yus queen!" levels that I can only hope to get to lol
I hope their twins take after Ari
In the Jasper Pie comics, her character is nicknamed "Scary Ari Poppins", and there's very good reason for that!
29:56 well Josh, you said you needed the content, and by the Mankey's paw, she delivered it to you.
I am so happy my favorite Pokemon game was #1. And Ari, great Pokemon segment as always.
Next, we need a remake of Pokmon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/The Sky
Or really just a remake of Sky
My only problem with Super Mario 64 DS is why it has to have a run botton and so far away from the jump botton, literally at the oposite side of the botton pad.
Ctr nitro fueled is definitely one of my favorites.
Josh the moment you mentioned Pokémon ney the Johto region of HeartGold and SoulSilver you should've known Ari would've swooped in and steal your Thunder especially when Gen 2 is her baby XD
And oooh the choices for a remake. How do I pick!?
Desantis is happy to watch your video, he's a big fan😉👍🏿
Don't worry part 2 will come out. Just give it time. It takes awhile for stuff like this to her made.
My opinion about this Top 10:
10 - Yeah, Link’s Awakening remake has cute graphics. It makes me smile.
9 - That’s one classic game. Special props goes to Leon Magnus’ storyline: It makes him more sympathetic that he’s actually was (albeit in an unintentional way, sort of)
8 - Two Ys series games in the same place? I didn’t expected that. Shout out for the Adol fangirls!
7 - Metroid really deserved that remake. Federation Force was nothing but a farce.
6 - What is this? Metal Gear? Nice... Now my anger towards Konami is fueled up to eleven.
5 - I like SM64DS’ multiple players
4 -FFVII Remake is nice.
Been following this channel for nearly two years
What a list… I agree with everything in this list… excelent video! Keep up the great work!!!
OG Final Fantasy 7 came out in my birth year
So, i loved that they remade it so I can actually play a Final Fantasy 7 in beautiful graphics
Ari come on give him a break......... Actually I wouldn't mind some Redone lists
Maybe ones that he now has more Hindsight on what he may have thought now
Josh, you should have just conceded to Ari. Remember, "She doesn't make the rules. She just runs your life."
This was a great countdown though. It does point to some games when I have the time. I am really looking forward to more in the future.
If Ari wasn't fully joking at the end, I would love a remake of Top 10 Music Battles. It's my favorite and I'm interested to see how it has expanded today.
Surprised that the Modern Warfare 2 remake to make it on this list or at least got an honorable mention.
Omg I started playing Pokémon on HeartGold and SoulSilver, I was 9 when they came out! I fell in love with them then, and I still love them now. If there was any game I would argue for a modern re-master of, it would be those two. Good to see I’m not the only one who loves them so much!
I would've liked to see the Crash N Sane Trilogy or the Spyro Reignited Trilogy on here, but I can see why people would see them more as remasters rather than remakes.
cuz they are.
@@oasisbeyond Well, they do fix up and add some things here and there.
"Which one of Joshes list need to be remade?"
Oh hohohohohoho, all of the ones being suggested are all good contenders!
I knew, I _just knew_ Live A Live would be here. IT'S SO GOOD.
Considering soulsilver was my very first pokemon game and is still my favourite, im glad it was made
For me my favorite remakes:
-Pokémon heart gold and soul sliver(this would be my Pokémon game if wasn’t black and white duology)
-undertale bits and piece, granted this a fan made, but still
-Kirby super star ultra(the only problem is harder to do co-op)
The top 10 music battles need a remake. Add 8 mile to that list.
You lost a lot of medals not playing them in order.
@@oasisbeyond I did get REmake 1 and 3, 7, and 8 after i finished REmake 2. Can't wait for REmake 4 so my medals stay intact.

I love how the EA Fails video is in there even though it hasn't been half a decade since the release of that video.
Pokemon Heart Gold/ Soul Silver, Crash Bandicoot Insane Trilogy, Ocarina of Time 3d, Luigi's Mansion 3ds, and Majora's Mask 3d are my top 5
Luigi’s Mansion on the 3DS runs like garbage
@@zaneheaston8254 Only times I notice a drop in quality was in multiplayer. Single player played fine and this is from someone who did every achievement in the game.
@@zaneheaston8254 That’s a cute opinion. Did a RUclipsr give it to you? Also, the Luigi’s Mansion 3DS remake runs perfectly fucking fine as someone who’s actually PLAYED the fucking game.
@@Rediscool9 ExoParadigmGamer says otherwise
@@zaneheaston8254 So, I was right that a RUclipsr just gave you that opinion rather than you actually forming an opinion of your own.
I am very happy that you frequently mention the YS series, I really like it but it’s not very well known in the West, it should deserve more
***Spoilers!!
HeartGold and SoulSilver deserved their spot on the list. I've poured hundreds of hours into the game. Also, it is very baffling that having your Pokemon walk w/ you wasn't made the standard after this game.
Was very happy to see twin snakes on here. Definitely my favorite way of playing the old PS1 classic
A video remake I’d like to see is the music battle countdown. Granted RUclips’s copyright bots might not like that one.
I would love a remake of the musical battles list!
I’m surprised that there wasn’t a kingdom hearts entry
I want to see Josh remake his Top Ten Worst Kingdom Hearts Bosses list, personally. Which, I think, is the first use of Josh’s personal theme song.
Why is it that every time I see one of your videos I always know of one game that should have been mentioned but sadly never does get mentioned :(
Famicom Detective Club's games are fantastic and highly recommend picking them up
Live A Live's remake was also hype by the way
I’ve only played the original Kirby Super Star on emulators.
Someone actually acknowledges the existence of Ys...thank you sir, may I have some more?
19:40
The crisis core ff7 remake comes out 13 of december and part is scheduled for 2023.
That's nice; Why is the mainline remake still mostly exclusive to a console that a lot of people STILL can't get?
@@dragonbornexpress5650
The devs said, although not exacly on these words, something along the lines of:
"We will make so many things the previous generation of consoles can't handle so to not cause another cyberpunk 2077 incident we will get it only on ps5."
It's the same reason the dlc isn't on ps4.
