I think you mixed up polycarbonate and polypropylene bag. Cause Polycarbonate is more durable and expensive. Where as polypropylene is less resistant to uv rays and not durable as polycarbonate.
If the bag size is greater than 158 cm by 2 cm. Do the airport charge u for that?? I have looked on Amazon and almost every large size bag is greater by 2 to 3 cm
Till now what I know, they check only weight and not dimensions. I guess 4-5 cm difference would be fine. Also luggage companies make luggage according to std dimensions.
