I feel like Rick Ross was already considered great at this time but nobody could wrap their head around why he was. His ear for beats is forever immaculate….a lot of people say his beats carry him but you need to have the persona and storytelling ability to bring these spectacular beats to life….this comment sounded so dramatic but Rick Ross brings that out of you 😅😅😅😅 God Forgives I Don’t will be a hit to your dad too I believe….ps….your dad will hear Get Lifted it’s happening!!!!! 😅😅😅😅

Pops was taking shots on this one….. but this was a great album. Lol glad y’all reacted to it. I’m someone from Miami this album really hits home for me. This album dropped when i was living in japan in the navy and made me feel like home.

I have only good memories with this one. 1:00:50 I remember Rozay to say that he's goal is to have collection of 100 classic Chevy's from '50s. Not gonna lie, I listened to Rick Ross as a teen then moved on after this album. I barely remember wtf was on it lol. And I feel bad because Ross has become a big name. Smart business man but also does some fire verses here and there. I should definitely go back and listen to his entire albums.
As a teen I was acting all proud I grew up in Miami and Ross was from there. Then that 50 beef happened. I think that made me respect Ross less and eventually got bored of some of his songs. Kinda sounded the same after a while.

Teflon Don is a reference to John Gotti, that was the nickname the media gave him because no lawsuit would stick. The Feds put into policy the RICO charge because of him.

I love this album. I never understood the disrespect Ross got. He is just like Kanye in that he has one of the greatest 5 album runs of all time in my opinion. I think a lot of the people who hate on him haven't heard his albums front to back. He was very, very talented. I can't speak on his new stuff, but people who hate on him have not listened to his first 5 albums front-to-back.

It was because he came into the game using the name of a notorious drug trafficker “Freeway” Ricky Ross whom is still alive and still doesn’t give him a pass for using his name. Also the fact that 50 exposed him of being a correctional officer. 50 also went at him hard with taking pictures with his baby momma and his kids and taking them out on a shopping spree posting it everywhere and Ross did nothing to retaliate. I’m pretty sure those are amongst the many reasons he got disrespected

Rick Ross wasn't a CO for long, he took on the role from 2000 until they sent him packing in 2001. He tried to serve as an inside man for one of his connections to Boobie who got hit with 10 years for trafficking. He doesn't mention it, but he probably doesn't want anyone to dig when it comes to any potential moonlighting missions. His connection to Kenneth "Boobie" Williams is real, and its possible that after the police who were arrested for being on his payroll went down, Ross was appointed because he wasn't someone they saw coming.

There is a remix to "Super High" with Curren$y and Wiz thats pretty dope...it feels more full, more energy...the album version feels a bit sparse...but maybe that's because I heard the remix first and not the original
