@@jonaalton3782 Gordon has been one of the most consistent players this season. Very good stats and looks significantly better than rashford whenever I’ve seen him play. When Gordon has played on the right 3 times this season he has 1 goal and 3 assist. And he gets over garnacho anyway

All I can say is that when both united and Newcastle have both had fit squads, united have been way better than them and it wasn't just due to rashford having a "purple patch". The XG was 1.28 v 2.58, there was a valid Penalty so I wont differ much other than Lewis Hall at LB

In the back line, Evans and Casemiro looked far more convincing than Burn and Krafth. But mainly, Dalot/AWB for Trippier and Onana for Dubravka.
I don't understand where all this arrogance comes from with Newcastle fans. If your team is so much better than ours, how come we're level on points and in an FA Cup final (despite having FAR worse injuries)?? It makes no sense.
@@antoniosvasilellisneto379 sofascore metrics suggest a Newcastle win would not have been undeserved, all key metrics other than taking chances. It took good blocks, a save on the line and a genuine penalty not given to add to the fact that man united got outplayed but in smash and grab fashion won.
The selection was also based on going into the game not after the game and before the game the assessment was correct.
@TheSarinaide Mate before the game, Newcastle were just 3 points ahead of United and not in an FA Cup final. Newcastle have been just as poor as United, so I don't see any world where you pick 8 Newcastle players in a combined 11.
Also as far as game metrics go, you have to know how to interpret them. United were clearly good value for their win. For example, United were better in the periods where the score was even. So you'd expect Newcastle to generate more chances when they're trailing. As soon as Newcastle equalised (other than a short period at the start of the 2nd half), United took over until they went ahead again. The game was looking very comfortable too but for an added time screamer to bring the gap down to 1 goal.

G/A does not matter on an individual level. The aim is to maximise the team’s G/A.
Haaland scores a lot, then? It means that everyone in ManCity are creating for him, instead of creating for each other to have everyone scoring.
The TOTAL number of goals that ManCity scores is not going to be increased because Haaland is there. He just takes away the number of goals his teammates could have scored.
English fans and a lot of casual fans overrate G/A and efficiency. They forget that where do G/A comes from. They are from build up play. If you have a high G/A but you don’t have much build up play contribution, it means that you are just taking the G/A from your teammates, because the TOTAL overall G/A of your TEAM, won’t increase if you don’t add more build up play into it.
Gordon is not skillful, tricky, tekky or silky on the ball. He is not half as tricky as Ronaldinho, Neymar, Figo or Mahrez, and he is not half as tekky as Foden, BernardoSilva, DavidSilva or Palmer.
