I agree with homeboy22 to be in a committed relationship should be in your late twenties and you don't have to date for so long to get married in your late twenties, the freedom to travel and take on opportunities without having to bother about a relationship ending, is a kind of freedom you would want to have in your twenties.
And yeah I'm not mindblown by my options being single even though I dated a lot of cuties, the baddies you are mind blown about won't give you the access or control you need and then you loose interest.
Based on that last closing statement, I think that’s partially to do with-as previously named-“ADHD Generation.” It’s a lot of goals and plans with not as much executive functioning. People expecting WAAAAAYYY more than they’re willing to give. Also, Max, hit me up. 💛
Singleness has a lot of pros...but one con is how easy it is to become selfish. You have the freedom to make your preferences your reality, which is nice but often keeps us immature. It turns us into people who look for relationships based on what it does for ME. I think the state of marriage in the US is a reflection of what happens when too many people approach life that way.
