    I own a 2016 2.4L 4x4 Grand Vitara and I'll never regret buying it. It's such an amazing car, very rugged and functional. Love it!!!

      They use completely different systems... This old Vitara used a 3 differential system that basically allowed you to mechanicaly lock the central differential an achieve a 50:50 power transfer... The Outlander uses a multi-disc clutch system.

    I have a GV and I'm super pleased with it. I drive on rough terrain and dirt daily. Haven't got stuck yet. Go Suzuki!!!

    I own a GV. It's a tank. With winter tires here where we are covered in snow half the year it's fantastic.

    Hey guys great video, quick question on a SGV Automatic. If I lock the transfer case on 4HL or 4L do I need to keep it on drive or could I combine it with the L and 2 Gears on the auto shifter for more control? Haven't been able to find information about combining these. Thank you.

      You can do whatever You want. Those are two separate elements - the gearbox/transmisson (in Your case - automatic) and transfer case (feature typical for classic 4x4). By putting the automatic gearbox into "L" or "2", you are simply limiting it to those specific gears. So it won't shift higher, than 1st or 2nd gear. That's all. "L" at the transfer case refers to increased gear ratio. It is a must-have for real 4x4, not the fancy SUV's. It just mulitplies the torque on wheels. For most cars it is not recommended to use it on tarmac. Especially when it is dry. Always look into user's manual. It will guide You through.

    У аута совсем подругому настроена система стабилизации причём есть разница между 2.4 и 3ка, для того чтобы машина лучше держала траекторию и не мешала водителю. На xtrail t30 например больше заточена на проходимость очень похожа как у витары.. Вообще эти машины не являются внедорожниками

    A v4 motor vs a V6, I think it's not fair, the V6 Outlander woud be an interesting versus

      Outlander has 380 Nm at low rpm, Grand Vitara has 231 Nm at much higher rpm. Besides it doesn't matter cause there's not much torque needed in this test.

      Engines dont have anything to do with traction! This is only for the drivetrain. Its fair.

      Front and rear are open. Grand Vitara with ESP has traction control system, very aggressive when you put the car onto low gear. Works almost like lockers.

      I know they didn’t have traction control and esp, but unsure if they got rear LSD from factory or not.

      Suzuki does have open center differential so it has to be locked.

      @@AggyGoesOutdoors In real world driving there is no need to use locked mode permanently. Grand Vitara has mechanical, permanent all wheel drive system, much better than the Outlander which uses only multiplate clutch pack to power rear axle.

      @@AggyGoesOutdoors Grand Vitara is not produced any more (except the newest one in India). Now there's a smaller Vitara and S-Cross, all of them have the awd system similar to Outlander.

    The wheels that don't need to turn are turning and the wheels that need to turn are not turning .... And they all call the system: permanent all wheel drive ,but is not permanent , when you need it , doesn't do anything .

    Grand Vitara after 2009 has got also TCS, that increases grip. This NGV perhaps hasn't it.

      It has TCS. Without that it wouldn't pass any diagonal or lateral test.

      I think it will like suzuki grand vitara. Phev have good transmission with 4wd lock by sync front and rear motor rotation.

      ​@@4x4.tests.on.rollers Mitsubishi was not expected people will actually use Out PHEV for bad road conditions. This caused them to upgrade the AWD system for the new vehicle with 2.4l gasoline engine.
      According to Mitsubishi, the new 2.4l version of Out PHEV has much better AWD system with stronger "lock".
      "According to Mitsubishi" is a very specific sentence. I do not trust that company and now they married with Nissan so my trust is lower than before.

    I own a 2006 grand vitara that doesn’t have the option to go into 4x4 high or low it’s basically a 4x4 all the time (AWD) ESP I get contradictory information on how it works though 🤷🏻
