Traction. The Porsche is by far the superior choice. I suppose you could do 4WD, but you can do that to Porsches as well. Regardless a 911 has a natural traction advantage.

@@ThatRosco458 @DSDftw!!! the EPA is trying to ban turning street cars into race cars so things like turbocharging or supercharging and exhaust systems will be heavily regulated. The RPM Act is a bill in congress that basically protects American Motorsports.

Bro, I see that some of those clips you are driving on Pershing Drive between El Segundo and Westchester at the end of LAX runways and the sand dunes of Playa Del Rey. I grew up and lived in Westchester and Playa Del Rey til I was 30 yrs old.
Pershing Drive used to be one of our street racing streets back in the late 1970s and '80s, as well as Jefferson Blvd. Where Home Depot is where Playa Vista (Silicon Beach) sits on what used to be Howard Hughes Helicopters plant.
I have a great story about driving 140 MPH down Pershing Drive with the cops behind me trying to catch me. I'd love to tell that story because it is absolutely hilarious how I got a ticket and mandatory traffic court appearance and only got fined $20 and $40 for 8 hour traffic school for doing 140 MPH on a street that has a 45 MPH speed limit. Those were fun days. The whole story is a crack up.

I've seen that car before in the NC Mtns, thought it was a crazy/cool setup. I had a Subaru Loyale that I lifted, bigger tires, I put 4 KC's on the grill. It was a fun car, it would take you places you shouldn't be in a Loyale.
I really wish sporty small coupes with off road capability were a common car genre.

As soon as I heard “yell at every Jeep Wrangler owner in America” I thought of the awful alignment on the JL’s LED headlights. I always get blinded by them and get flashed when I drive a JL because drivers think the brights are on.

911s sans trophy truck lift trump them all as I remember those awesome 60s film reels (complete with perfect jaunty soundtrack) from my favorite sadly cancelled late-night show, Legends of Motorsport 😢 damn I miss that show, especially Hannu Mikkola narrating his recce in classic Finnglish. RIP to a legend and all-around great guy!
@@samsonian yes most people think of the Eagle Wagon with the fake wood and wood on the dash. From 80 to 83 they made a sporty lift back that was called the SX/4 which came with aluminum dash. Optional spoilers. A wide body kit as Charger people now call it. Alloy wheels and in the commercials had it compete with everything from Mustangs to Trans am's at the time. Very rare as the thought of an off road sports car was thought of as crazy at the time.

Sort of complex because each is custom built, and you have to provide the car you wish to be Safari'd. Assuming you already have the car it looks like its around $120k for a full spec from Keen.

Also…I happened to purchase a 2015 911 Carrera S this past weekend. Since I know just about zero when it comes to Porsche, I'll be bopping around the internet trying to figure out this car.
As for being unusual to cross paths, I see a lot of audience crossover between car folks and gun folks.

@@John1911 Man thats awesome. Do y'all still have the 213? Any issues over the years? I've only put two mags through mine so far (trying to conserve ammo) but so far its had 0 problems. I think mines a Type 54-1, one of the earlier commercial exports from the late 80'@ since the SN is only 421,XXX.

Matt should add to the story that even though "Gas Taxes" are the highest in the nation....The roads of Kommiefornia are much like their southern neighbors now...Maybe Mexico's roads are better actually....That's why I sold all my late model "sporty cars" and just have an old Corvette now....No more "pot hole catastrophes!" Other the other side they are still burning up fuel taxes to build a "Train to Nowhere" in the middle of nowhere rather than repairing the roads.
