    Canucks Goalie Arturs Silovs Is Answering The Call In The Playoffs
    When the Canucks lost both Thatcher Demko and Casey DeSmith to injury against the Predators, they turned to little known Latvian goaltender Arturs Silovs. He has led them to the Second Round and shown that the moment doesn’t get to him. Perhaps because he faced immense pressure this past summer, when le led Latvia to its first ever medal at the IIHF World Championship, where they brought home a bronze.

    Mam what a story for silovs canucks unfortunate injury woes to demko and desmith in comes a somewhat inexperienced Latvian goaltender silovs some how taking the opportunity and driving that pressure and answering it in big moments in the playoffs is so huge. I'm happy for him what a goalie and that is a goalie for the future for the canucks

    In 3-4 years, I could see this guy land an undisputed number 1 role for a big team. As a Rangers fan, and with Quick being on UFA status next year, I would personally love for him to be traded to the Rangers as a T-2 and eventually replace Shesterkin as number 1

    • @fdti6914
      @fdti6914 11 дней назад +5

      905sv% in the ahl was on a team that was basically gutted from the start of the year. They lost Hoglander, Juulsen, Podkolzin, Amen and a bunch of other players for 2 week stretches.
      It was Tolopilo and Silovs that kept abbotsford in the playoff hunt ... tolopilo outplayed Silovs. The reality is, the Canucks are a goaltending factory. That's why the Canucks are high on this kid. We're pumping out starters and elite goalies.
      This series and the Nashville series would be much different if Demko was healthy.

    • @VolcanicProtectorMan
