The Furious Five were needed in this movie. The villain was legit so compelling (but defeated poorly and with plot armour) who should’ve been Po’s most difficult enemy but because the actors are so expensive, Dreamworks explained them away by saying “they’re on their own super secret missions,” instead of doing the proper thing and recasting them. The movie suffered because those making it were scared people would be upset over something so minute, and tried to make up for it with characters that don’t make sense in those roles (Po’s dads, as much as I love them)
"Not your fault?! Who filled my head with the old Kung Fu Panda movies? Who made me wait eight years for the movie to make? Who denied me my MASTERPIECE?"
I had this thought: maybe instead of being a continuation of Po’s story, we focused on Tai Lung being confronted with his crimes and their consequences, being sorrowful for what he’d done, and learning how to turn his life around. In other words, allow Kung Fu Panda 3 to be the end of Po’s story and focus instead on a different character!! We could focus on Tigress, other Furious 5 characters, etc.
The moment the trailer didn't show any of the Furious Five and instead had a new character that almost acted like a replacement to them easily made me suspect that it isn't going to be the same quality as the previous movies
We go from one of the best movie sequels ever with puss in boots 2 the last wish. To a bad sequel with kung fu panda 4. And Megamind 2 is so bad it's torture
If they do go along with making Kung Fu panda 5 and it ends up being good(hopefully), I do wonder if it ends up being a Cars situation where the 4th movie will be ignored.
Shrek 5 is also a bit muddled. Because they said it's gonna be a reboot but it's labeled as a sequel. Also it's being directed by the guy who created the Minions from Despicable Me...

Honestly, this movie is not bad, if it is standalone movie, BUT if we compare and relating this movie with all others KungFu Panda movies, then this is bad movie.
The moment they showed too much of the main plot in the trailer + the cutesy fox design, I KNEW they're not gonna give Tai Lung his chance to shine and possibly live to be the next dragon warrior oof
I was never bothered by the idea that he was gone or that he wasn't the dragon warrior, the problem is that he doesn't have an important role or even his moment with Shifu.
As someone who only just saw all the movies in the last two weeks or so, I liked the fourth and thought it was actually significantly more serious than 3 and at least on par with the balance of seriousness and comedy in 1 and 2. Yes it was sad not having the Furious Five around but I do think their absence gave Po a chance to shine as a more mature character, this was the only movie that made me believe he had the wisdom of a Kung fu master rather than just the physical ability. The villain wasn’t very interesting (though liked her shapeshifting abilities) but I still liked her better than Kai from 3 who never did much for me. Just don’t fully understand the hate for this movie, the whole series is pretty goofy and this seems to be much the same as the rest as far as I can tell
Then i can only that you were not that invested in it. It was something you enjoyed but will probably forget about soon. Because to me (and im assuming others considering the hate towards it), the movie was mid to bad. It wasn't shit, it had a story and the animation was fine for me tbh, but it felt like a tv show without enough episodes to flesh the story telling.
Im still confused on how Kai managed to come back in 4. Like Tai lung was skadooshed to the spirit realm and Shen died so him coming from the spirit realm makes sense too... Did kai not fucking die IN the spirit realm? Which would make him like... DEAD dead? Or did they just lazily retcon that so they could shove it in our face for "fanfare"? Honestly we never needed a 4th movie, hell we never really even needed a 3rd the 2nd was such a great ending that it would have worked well on its own. I really, REALLY hope they cancel 5 and just let us have 2 great movies and one good one.
"Skadooshed to the spirit realm" should be the new way to say "killed" without triggering the moderation bots, like how "unalive" was before they caught on

@darcidious99: My head canon is that "death" in the Spirit Realm is never permanent. If you get destroyed there, your spirit takes some time to regenerate. It's not a perfect theory, but it makes _Kung Fu Panda 3_ and _4_ logically consistent.

That sounds like a great idea tbh! Only problem is with the direction they’re going in, that’s prob never gonna happen 💀
@@mr.regular589 yep.
Honestly tai lung having a redemption arc is literally the one thing I was hoping for in the 4th movie.
@@livinglegend9709 me, too.
@@jackwimmer2249Me three.
I hope this becomes a trend it’s funny and this might be the best one yet. Very well edited
I freaking love how KFP5's 5 is just KFP2's 2 upside-down and mirrored
The moment the trailer didn't show any of the Furious Five and instead had a new character that almost acted like a replacement to them easily made me suspect that it isn't going to be the same quality as the previous movies
You denied me my destiny 💀💀💀😭😭 caught me off gaurd
We go from one of the best movie sequels ever with puss in boots 2 the last wish. To a bad sequel with kung fu panda 4. And Megamind 2 is so bad it's torture
You think it’d be worse with them making a Cocomelon movie. Still hope they rethink that decision.
*vietnam flashbacks of the tennis ball animation*
Looks like someone forgot the other awful shit like Teenage Kraken, Orion, Trolls 3, and etc.
@@movielover7565 I had successfully erased teenage kraken from my mind until you brought it up again
Except Megamind 2 was never going to be a cinematic release. Of course it was going to be like your typical made-for-tv film...
Thanks for this. I was going to buy tickets to see the film this weekend but you just saved me money.
the ending bro 😭💀
If they do go along with making Kung Fu panda 5 and it ends up being good(hopefully), I do wonder if it ends up being a Cars situation where the 4th movie will be ignored.
Agreed, except Cars 2 is far better than Kung Fu Panda 4. Like, not even close.
Agreed
There a 4th movie for Cars?!?
After *that*...I don't think we're getting a fifth one....
what do you mean by *that?*
4th film is a start of the new trilogy and it's still a success regardless
I just mean that because of it's quality, it might be hit or miss whether they continue the franchise. @@pinhe4d321

made a hell of a lot of money tho
Kung fu panda 4 had the LOWEST budget of the 4 films lower than the first one which was release almost 16 years ago
Kai, a villain who's whole premise was to escape the spirit realm. Voluntarily walked back into the spirit realm. Lmao.
Every single small RUclipsr is getting subscribers with these memes. This is the only good thing about that film.
And thus the movie is more popularised anyway. Even with negative content.
@@trainstroyshik1751 Who cares, that doen't change anything
@@Bane520 Of course no one. But still, besides that, popularity will grow
It is now.
Shrek 5
Shrek 5 is also a bit muddled. Because they said it's gonna be a reboot but it's labeled as a sequel.
Also it's being directed by the guy who created the Minions from Despicable Me...
@@shwahgamer we're doomed 💀

Theres a kung fu panda 4? Nah, what i saw was a fan film that didnt understand what world building was, imma wait for the real kung fu panda 4
That sounds like the worst best dream to wake up from for a KFP fan.
I say even the fans have made better stories, but no DW won't give the real KFP4 and this is all we will have :c.
always expect the movie to be bad, so you're never disappointed
Facts. If you lower your expectations it can honestly leas to you expecting the worst or being pleasantly surprised
@@rickyronny4019 Yea. I went into the movie blindly without all this drama about interviews and stuff, and I got quite some joy form the movie, even with how weak and covered in holes the plot was. Even with how weak this movie was, it still left strong cards for the next 2 movies - we just need a good director who can play them well in next 2 movies
@@volodymyr_budii I agree whole heartedly
Ups, I Wrote next 5 movies instead of 2 xD. Fixed it
Hey, as long as you expect a plate of pure toxin on your plate, the other plate with poo on it looks delicious

Welp... *GUESS WE'RE GETTING A KUNG FU PANDA 5!*
i like how in 4th po grabs the sword the same way as shifu does
Paradoxically, only kung fu panda can save kung fu panda 😂
Another sequel will not fix what's been done. It will only make things worse.
And what's Shrek Forever After? It made us forget Shrek the Third ever happened
I second this@@lexramstudios1386
@@lexramstudios1386 You're definitely barking up the wrong tree with that argument with me personally as I didn't like Shrek Forever After either. It was *certainly* better than Shrek the Third though, that's for sure.
@@TitanKaiju75Shrek Forever After was a great movie. Y’all are too hung up on the first two movies to appreciate its artistry. Go watch Scrafillas Production’s review. He’ll definitely provide some insight on why it’s good
The voice crack at “destiny” makes this video peak
The moment that 5 showed up in the end got me 🤣
Me too haha
Kung Fu Panda 4 barely had The Furious Five!
I love how we have 3 versions now lol. Truly one of the most disappointed moment this year (besides megamind 2 ofc)
Cast
Master Shifu: Dustin Hoffman
Tai Lung: Ian McShane
Honestly, this movie is not bad, if it is standalone movie, BUT if we compare and relating this movie with all others KungFu Panda movies, then this is bad movie.
Damn I love the last bit. Chef's kiss mate!
Kung fu panda 5?!💀0:29
Who sent Tai lung back to the spiritual realm
They simply should've stopped after the 2nd movie. Nothing was EVER going to top that.
0:09 That is seriously legendary voice acting! 👍👍👍👍👍
0:10 you mean
Now I wonder, should the Kung Fu Panda franchise have ended with ONLY the third movie?
No, but the fourth one was so bad, I wish it ended in the third
Yes
Yes
No, 4th film had the potential, theoretically it could have still been good.
Nah fourth film couldve been better than the 3rd, it was just bad
You either die as a hero , of live long to see yourself becoming a villain
Harvey dent
The moment they showed too much of the main plot in the trailer + the cutesy fox design, I KNEW they're not gonna give Tai Lung his chance to shine and possibly live to be the next dragon warrior oof
I was never bothered by the idea that he was gone or that he wasn't the dragon warrior, the problem is that he doesn't have an important role or even his moment with Shifu.
8 years? Damn
I haven’t seen it yet but so far it sounds cool
I liked it
It's good but 3 is better
its really really good i dont understand the memes here
Kung fu panda 4 is mediocare and disapointing at best
It WAS good, but it wasn’t as good as the first 3
I love how the 2 is just upside down lol
If they make like 10 more kung fu panda movies, it'll just be Po's Grandkids
yes lmao
Yeah, i was wondering too, didn’t he explode from taking in too much chi? I guess even in the afterlife you can somehow cheat death twice.
"Skadooshed to the spirit realm" should be the new way to say "killed" without triggering the moderation bots, like how "unalive" was before they caught on
It was planned to have 2 trilogies for KFP from the very start - first trilogy about Po being a dragon warrior, and second about his spiritual leader path.
@darcidious99: My head canon is that "death" in the Spirit Realm is never permanent. If you get destroyed there, your spirit takes some time to regenerate. It's not a perfect theory, but it makes _Kung Fu Panda 3_ and _4_ logically consistent.
@skullsnguns22 kinda yes, but it still introduces the issue of how are you gonna stop some guy from always fighting everyone and comming back to life. I wish 4th movie just didn't do a mistake of bringing him back.
First megamind (we do NOT speak of that disaster) now kung fu panda? What is Disney blackmailing them into tanking their studio or some thing?
Dreamsworks: "Let's try to spend the lowest budget we ever had and try to make the most profit out of it"
New and inexperienced employee: "Is that a good idea for the Kung Fu Panda franchise?..."
Dreamworks: "I don't know, let's try it!"
...
Damn, for some reason the biggest companies act sometimes just as if someone was holding them at gunpoint and making them think of the worst possible decision about their most remembered franchise, and then do it
I guess it's also apply to Megamind 2
Kung fu panda 5 logo caught me of guard 😂😂😂
i almost passed out of laughter xDwell done xDdidnt expect it xDxD
That’s too bad that *Kung Fu Panda 4* sucked. Hopefully *Despicable Me 4* turns out to be a better movie.
Wait, did they say there’s a confu panda five coming?
I love how it perpetually gets longer every time there own interpretation of the meme is made! lol
Someone might as well make the entire fight scene with this argument! 😂
Yo when he pulled out that kung fu panda 5 that was actually sick. It felt like a real emotional scene and felt like it had real life stakes! Like it was a make or break for the franchise and now dreamworks have to make the decision to go silly or serious!!!
"Kfp 4 wasn't supposed to live up to the hype, that is not my fault"
"Not your fault? Who filled my premiere with hype? Who left me waiting 8 years for the release? Who denied me my PERFECTION!?"
i was hoping in Kung Fu Panda 3 that in the final spirit world fight, Tai Lung showed up, he has now made peace with Oogway, tag team fights with Po against Kai and Po takes him back to the real world for a redemption story in Kung Fu panda 4 and maybe the chamelon uses him putting his redemption arc at risk
