      I swear maybe I’m not hearing it the right way but where does he mess it up? I saw someone in another video say the first verse but not sure where

      @@qb3qb3yeah he forgets to hit the toms during the first verse. he picks up on it towards the end of the verse though. you can see him trying to remember the pattern hahah

      @@qb3qb3 we’ll it’s pretty hard to notice if you’re not a drummer or having a metronome, like your free music, but at the time, 1:38 and 3:32 you’d hear a slite change and even a missed snare for just that measure. after that drummers have this “reset” habit they use to get back in the rhythm

  • @thecassytube
    @thecassytube 19 дней назад +13

    damn and at 0:29 you can hear he hit that second snare a little too early and now i can’t not hear it 😂😂 but yk i love josh and this band so it’s an exception

    It’s interesting to reflect on the criticisms as a fan… I listened to an interview recently where Josh mentioned when they haven’t toured in a while how he feels super rusty and has a hard time getting back into the groove… but eventually does.
    I can only imagine, myself… it’s easy to critique when you’re down on the floor just listening, not having to be up there to perform in front of the crowd. Actually makes me think that’s why they’re doing these small shows - to work on the new show set with a smaller more loyal fanbase - a good chance to work out the kinks before they start performing in front of thousands at a time.
    Better to make mistakes at small shows and polish things up before the arena shows. 😅
    It’s like preseason games for the NFL lol…

    Can't wait to see them next year, my friends got 3 tickets, 2 for them and another friend and one for me which I still can't believe.
    It's still a year and 5 days away but it's gonna be an amazing show I can tell, just from these smaller shows they're amazing so far ❤❤

    Song still sounded fine without the toms, but this is Josh’s job, so he really should this all down. Probably got too complacent with memorizing the songs and he blanked. Also it could be that they hadn’t played the song in a long time.

    • @Gray-tile
      @Gray-tile 19 дней назад +20

      Saying “he shouldn’t make a mistake bc it’s his job” doesn’t feel right to me, people make mistakes, Tyler got the lyrics wrong the other day and stoped the whole show and I didn’t hear any one say “it’s Tyler’s job he should know his own lyrics”. Mistakes happen. Sorry if this come off as mean i don’t think your comment is meant to be mean but your comment about this being his job seems a bit off.

    • @mcgfn

      You try not making a few mistakes after not touring for months at a time. If you don't play music, especially live, then you should not be talking

      @@mcgfn argument from authority is a terrible way to argue. I actually included your point in my comment, lil bro.
      I do play live music, by the way. Not that it matters

    • @notsoperfectdrummer

      @@Gray-tile in the end, it is a job. My intention was to be practical, if it comes off as mean it is not intended, but it’s the truth. Can’t do much about that 🤷🏻‍♂️. I would even argue to say that Josh would also recognize he needs to have been better there and WILL do better.

      Who cares honestly. It's natural to mess up, he could have seen something in the audience or had sound guys tell him something in his in ears which caused him to blank out. I would rather see band members mess up than play perfect, it makes the show feel alive and natural.
