I installed the Thrashin top tree with 9.5" risers and mid bend bars with the gauge relocation and love them. I came from 12" Dominator meat hook bars and wished that I had gone this route before. Im on a 21 RGS. Looks good and feels great. I barely noticed any difference in vibrations in the bar but definitely feels much more grounded. A must buy in my opinion.

Went from 16" carlini gangster apes on my road king to a 12" t bar. Every aspect of riding has been drastically increased, from cornering, control, and even longer hauls. You're gonna love 'em! Ride safe and keep the videos coming.

I went straight to Thrashin triple tree, 9.5 inch pull back risers and mid T bars. Moved the gauges up too. Took me a long weekend to put it together and watched Lance and Juan vids over and over again to install it all. I am very satisfied with change. Next serious mod was the Ohlins suspension front and rear. Please consider this one if you haven’t. Best mod for the bike to be honest.

I switched from 14 inch Factory 47s to the same set up you have except I went with the 9 1/2 inch pullback. After about 3,000 miles, I know it was the best move ever for my RG. You're going to enjoy them with more miles, more smiles.

Just finished mine tonight. Triple trees, 6" straight risers, low bend bars and gauge relocation on 2020 RGS from stock bars. Too low, may try mid bend bars since i doubt they will exhange the risers.

long term on trips....how do you like them after having them on for a while in reference to long trips. Prefer the apes for the long highway runs, and the T bar set up for the twisties im assuming? Im looking at purchasing my first Road Glide, which is a special. Ive been riding a VTX1800 for 20 years. Great bike, but I drag pegs pretty easy in the curves. Not sure if you have sat on one, but handlebar position is low, so probably similar to the t bars on that. Not sure if the lean angle on a special is better than the vtx. But with all that said...i love the twisties, and ride somewhat aggressive thru them (For a big bike, its relative right....LOL?). I want a comfortable bike for long mileage rides, so thats priority 1, and the Road glide im looking at has the KST Pironeer bars (12 inch I think). HOping they will work for now. Look forward to whatever info you can provide..thanks!

  • @Hellbentbiker

I know I’m in the minority here but I personally think bars/mx bars are very overrated. They became very trendy especially after a certain show. Everyone wanted to have a “club style” bike with t bars. That’s awesome if you like the look but any perceived difference is more from the height, width, pull back and mostly from the solid bushings. If you take another set of bars of similar height, width, pull back and have solid bushings they will feel the same.
I’m not bashing t bars and before all the hate starts I will give my disclaimer. I have ridden with t bars, I have been on road bikes for almost 30 years (dirt bikes for another 10 years). I’ve had many sport bikes and done many track days.
For all the people that may become emotional about this comment, again I am not bashing t bars. They can be a terrific set up. 🤘🏻✌🏻🤙🏻
