Great competition & fantastic scores all round, I listened to so many and I certainly don't envy the judges! Fellow beginners and hobbyists out there, do not be discouraged from this if you didn't win - scoring a solid piece of music to a scene is one thing, having it fit the eyes and ears of the judges is another thing entirely. Keep working at your craft and passion no matter what. I know I will!
Well done to everyone who entered, always enjoy hearing multiple approaches to the same scene! Thanks for putting on these competitions, I'll get practicing for the next one!
Thank you Spitfire team and Kris Bowers for this great contest, it was so fun to take part of it. Congrats to the winner and runner ups!
What a wonderful experience it was composing for this. The work of the runners-up and the winner were absolutely spot on. Thank you to Spitfire and Kris Bowers for the opportunity, as well as all the amazing work to put this together and get through all those scores.
Congratulations to all the winners. Thank you for this amazing opportunity
Congratulations to the Winner Aleksander and all the runners up! Fantastic competition, really enjoyed taking part
Congratulations. It was a pleasure creating music with you all. Congratulations to all the winners. Amazing work
In future competitions, it would be great if a committee choses the winners, rather than one person, whose taste could influence his or her choice. The winning compositions bare a great resemblance to chris’ own work, despite other great works that had far different points of view and energy but still good enough to win.
Every competition should be peer reviewed by all of the entrants.
Bro what type of mushroom were these judges on, one of the winners had trap music and they thought it was actually good
Great to hear the winners (congratulations!) and also very educational for those, like me, who entered as a complete amateur with no expectations for winning. Just the doing and then comparisons to the ones selected along with the commentary on what set the winner apart is something that just wouldn't be available to someone like me. HUGE thanks to Spitfire, Kris, and the folks at Bridgerton for putting this together and let people do a scoring exercise on a real, and fantastic, show.
All the best everyone with your entry!
Congratulations Aleksander and the runners-up. Really excellent scores!
Congratulations to everyone who took part in a competition, it was really interesting experience. And of course congrats to all winners!
Congratulations to the winner and to the runner-ups! I listened to their compositions and I think they did a fantastic job with the score. Thanks again to Spitfire and Kris Bowers for this great opportunity.
Good luck everyone!
Good luck to everyone who entered. Didn't enter myself but I heard some amazing entries 😊✨🎉
Thanks for this opportunity. I had a lot of fun doing this. I liked the runners up, but didn't care for the winner's submission. I don't think they addressed the scenes and dialogue at all. It seemed like a piano piece just being played over the top and then literally randomly stopping in the middle of the final scene. Oh well. So many different views.
I certainly don't think my score should have placed. I failed with production and audio levels. But I did work hard and feel I succeeded in addressing the scenes and dialogue. A great lesson for me. Congrats to everyone!
Good luck to all, thanks spitfire and Kris
Congratulations to the winners! This was such an amazing competition to get to take part in.
It was so much fun to be a part of this competition. Congratulations to the winners. I heard so many great compositions that I felt sorry for the judges having to try and pick the best ones. Looking forward to the next one.
Best wishes to everyone!
Congrats to the winner! and the runners! it was a very fun project to work on! a big hug in all composers you out there !keep believing in yourselves! love u bye!
best of luck for all entries! Thanks to Spitfire for the event, I got a lot of experiences from this :)) 🙆♂
Oh my god,im literally nervous and i can't sleep and exciting, good luck to everyone 🥳
Congratulation to the winner and all the best for everyone who entered!
It was a nice moment. Take care everyone and bravo for the winners !
Thanks for this amazing competition, best of luck to everyone!🤝😄
Congrats to everyone who participated
Thanks Spitfire Audio it was a good experience, but I disagree on the choice, as although the winning composers created a very nice score, the music was always present, even in the dialogues. There was not a moment's pause. Anyway congratulations to all.
A tad underwhelmed to be honest!
This is scary yet exciting, GOOD LUCK EVERYONE
Congratulations to the winners and thank you Spitfire team and Kris for this wonderful contest.
I know a lot of us listen to a multitude of submissions. After about three weeks I got fatigued. I wonder how the judges are going to go through all of these. Good luck to the judges and toward the entrants. I can’t imagine what the judges go through listening to all these and picking a winner.
This was a pleasure to watch. Congratulations to all the winners!
I guess this was an arrangement competition and not an original composition one then. The runner ups must have listened to the original piece as they sound a bit too familiar.
I just feel like better choices could have been made on the part of the judging as far as the entries chosen.
Congratulations all! Everyone was soooo creative ❤
Congratulations to winners and ♥ to all other participants...Special thanks to spitfire audios for the great opportunity ♥
Much congratulations to the winner and the runner ups! You'll did an amazing job and it's great to see the all the different types of scores created.to Bridgerton.
Best of luck to all entires!
Huge respect to all the participants. Doesn't matter if you are winning or losing. Everyone has done a very good job with their cues. And I am glad that I have made a musician community and friendship with some of the stellar composers out there. Thanks a lot, Spitfire Audio.
And advanced best wishes to the yet-to-be announced winner and runner ups. Cheers.
Congratulations to all of the winners, especially Aleksander! Excellent sounding work.
Congrats to all the entities and a special congrats to the runners up and winner! All very well deserved. Always a pleasure to get to take park in such an exciting competition.
Congrats! And to everyone who entered the competition, keep on working and improving!
Exciting!
Good luck everybody!
Good luck everyone!!
Great job to the winners! See you next year :)
I had hoped for a little more from the announcement video (analysis of the winning scores, maybe highlight some other notable entries, celebrate the community, etc). Sort of a let down. BUT, huge congratulations to the winners; your scores are amazing.
Best of luck to everyone! Was great to enter one of these.
Awesome competition!!
I'm nervous, very nervous :), anyway win or lose goes a greeting to all participants, listen to many good works after publishing mine and learned much of each of you try to understand the look in particular of each one, of each one person who put his music at the service of the history of the video. Thank you all very much for this musical journey!!
Congratulations to the winners.
And thanks again to SpitFire for these opportunities! See you next time!
Congrasts to Aleksander and the rest of the people :)
Still without power from the hurricane, but I'm hoping my cellphone battery lasts long enough to tune in haha. Excited to see the winners!
That is dedication but also please stay safe!
@@spitfireaudiollp Thank you! The National Guard and FEMA have taken good care of us so far with supplies and everything. A lot of rescue missions. Linemen working day and night to restore power, and the community in general have really come together to help each other out. A lot of people lost everything but I know that we can recover and stay positive and come back stronger than ever!
Congratulations to everyone... however I can't help feeling underwhelmed by it. I heard more interesting scores that actually moved me. Spitfire like to sell the name of John Williams etc but this was as opposite as they come. The winning entry was sheepish, orchestration was sparse, the melodic content was cliché to the point of banality and the change of scenes had no harmonic language that created any sense of surprise. It sounded like something was about to happen but never did because the melody didn't know how to get there. Timing and ticking boxes is one thing but emotion is everything. If you were to watch this on YT without the context, you'd click on by. But congratulations!!
Totally 👍
What did you expect? Have you listened to the original soundtrack for that scene?
Wishing the best of luck to everyone who entered
Congratulations to the runners up and grand prize winner. All very well composed and orchestrated pieces. Although if I am being honest, the winning score, while a nice piece of music on its own, doesn't really fit the scene and does not capture the various emotions throughout the scenes. But nonetheless, thanks to Spitfire for these opportunities to hone our skills and develop our craft. See you next year!
Disappointing winner choice. There were many more scores that fit the 3 "elements" you allegedly based your judging on better than the runners up and winner. These compositions are completely out of place for the things that are going in the video.
Like which?
Thank you for you courage. We have been programmed to yield and accept decisions, if though we don’t like or understand in the fear of being called soar losers. If you are not convinces or do not like a decision, you should be able to express it without fear; especially if it concerns a matter which depends on personal taste, regardless of all the technical issues involved. I believe that Chris chose the competitions that were patterned after his own work, even if he didn’t realize it. Just listen and compare.
@@snarf1504 to me, it sounds like you did not listen to other works, or perhaps you did not listen to enough of them.
@@seandeneuve-cinematicandme3806 I've seen a lot, thanks. As always, most works don't fit the scene, are uninspired, lack vision, miss important story beats, or are just badly programmed. Hence the question of where one would be able to find these alternative winners. It's easy to say these things, I'd just like to see some proof. Who knows, perhaps they're right.
@@seandeneuve-cinematicandme3806 You were not here to witness the rioting after the Westworld competition?
Congratulations to all the winners!
No idea how Riwal Perchoc made the list out of thousands of entries. Didn't work at all for me.
Hey @spitfireaudio I think doing 2 categories (professional and potential) would be sooo much better in the coming years! It would nurture people who are just starting out and need that foot in this world for the opportunity to grow and become professionals. I’m sure many would agree ❤
Yep agree, I’ve also suggested this over the last two comps, beginners can’t compete with professional composers, there really should be beginner, intermediate and professional categories to allow a much broader chance for those with less experience to benefit from things like a mentoring session and to win a few good libraries.
@@cruachfilms yes definitely!! I wilted more and more during this video realising this was all so silly of me to do when the winners are just going to be professional composers 😂 He also mentioned he went on the winner’s profile and site and wanted to know more about his work. I honestly just thought it was blind listening/judging so I was just here like OH.. woops 😭
I was going to suggest this too. Every year the winner is someone who has professional experience. Those of us just starting out don't have much chance. That aside it's nice to have the chance to have a crack at this though.
@@andybullemor-music5928 yeah it’s definitely still a fun experience (but not a fair one haha). I’ve seen quiet a few producer competitions that said don’t apply if you have credits or some other competitions that say for ‘unpublished’ people to remain fair, but who knows maybe one day!! I’ve just started so it’s only onwards and upwards from here ☺️
I totaly agree with that. Each time the winner is a pro, and does a excellent work, no complain about that, but with far more knowledge and ressources than the average of many of us.
Good luck everyone 🤟🤟💪💪
The time for the announcement is getting close (47min) and nerves are starting to settle in!!! Hehe… all the best with your entry everyone! 😊
"You are getting what you always wanted..." cit. Well good luck!
I’d like to think there’s a universe out there in the multiverse where I at least got runners up… 😅
Thanks spitfire for this competition. I really learned a lot and enjoyed making my own score for the scene. Thank you so much!
Congrats to all :)
thanks for this competition, good luck to all composers 🎬🎶
Oh wow Aleksander is practically my age. I assumed he was like 18 or 22 or something. Good to see someone in their 30s is taking part in these competitions. I assume most of the people making submissions are under 24 but now I won’t feel so awkward making a submission when the next one rolls around.
Here's hoping 🤞
Delighted for the winners of this competition. It's awesome to know that the top prizes went to such deserving entries. Bravo!
Congratulations! Well done by all! 🙏🏻
OMFG I CANNOT BELEIVE THIS I AM SO HONORED
Congratulations to the winners
Congratulations to the winner and the runner ups! 😀
Best of luck to everyone!
I dont want to go to bed now.😂If I do I’m afraid I’ll miss something… *chews off last finger* 😅
I hope they have seen my score :( didn't have much views but i wish best of luck to everyone!!
Congratulations Aleksander!
Best wishes to everyone. Win or not (lots of talent out there), I learned and that's always good.
Congrats to the winner! Or better say winners, since there were many entries…getting into top 10 is like…almost impossible :)
For a second there I thought the guitarist from the Foo Fighters was one of the winners...
Off topic but is that a modular rack in Kris's studio at the bottom of the screen?
when is the next competition?
Beautiful!
Good luck everyone, I’ve listened to lots of fantastic entries, it’s so refreshing to hear so many different stylistic approaches!
Good luck everyone! There have been some amazing entries and I wish everyone the best of luck! 😀
Muchas gracias spitfire por esta super oportunidad para todos los que algun dia tenemos ese suenio de convertirnos en grandes compositores y de poder practicar con este tipo de competencia y sobretodo aprender y seguir el camino correcto.
Good luck to all of you. I really enjoyed this one.
Good luck to everyone who participated in this competition! I had such a great time writing for this scene 💕💗
Congratulations
Wow this composer was cooking
Awesome stuff. Congrats runners up & winner. Top job. Hopefully spitfire return again next year with another. If so I'll be here again, I'm sure like many others. All the best to you all. Keep on being creative
Good luck everyone! Many thanks to Spitfire Audio. We had a great time!!!
