Fun Fact: I drove one of these all the way across and through the Swiss Alps (using a secret tunnel) only to battle with a giant Crab-Clawed robot that was living alone in a remote lighthouse! I made it home relatively unscathed in time for fish-fingers, mash and peas. TRUE.

Why do you say "TRUE" like that? As if this sort of thing doesn't happen every other week or so?
I mean, I'm pretty sure Captain Cyan drove through the Andes just last January. The giant robot he battled didn't have Crab-Claws though, making it much easier to dispose of. Probably why you didn't hear about it.

Brings back wonderful memories. I lived on Edge Lane Liverpool aged 8-13. Less than 500 metres away was the Meccano factory situated on Binns Road where all the Century 21 Gerry Anderson models were cast.
Regularly my friends and I would knock on the door and ask "Any seconds?" (those imperfect models that could not be sold), or we would ask for replacement missiles. Around the corner was the Crawford's biscuit factory were we asked for 'any broken biccies?'!
I owned lots of different Gerry Anderson models and Meccano pieces. Sadly, it never occurred to me to save any.

Fun Fact: It's canon that Brains only stutters while in casual conversation. As soon as he starts thinking deeply, his "thinking out loud" speech loses any trace of a stutter.
Source: A story in a TV-21 Annual, where this was explicitly stated.
(I think I still have that annual somewhere in storage and if I can find it, I'll quote the date and the story)
Edit: I also probably still have, somewhere, a paperback novel with a Captain Scarlet story where the Mysterons are trying to devastate the Earth by causing a power overload. Their idea is to destroy enough power converter plants that the remaining plants will overload... or something like that.
After one of the power conversion plants explodes due to sabotage, Scarlet asks Captain Blue (his best friend) "What about the SPV?" to which Blue replies "Scorched like a piece of forgotten toast" and adds that he had to wait for it to cool down before he could use it to come look for Scarlet.

+Gerry Anderson - "Are you enjoying the Century 21 Tech Talk series?" A: Absolutely!
"Which vehicles would you like to see?" A: TB-2, TB-3, TB-4 & TB-5, FAB 1 | FIREBALL XL5, FIREBALL JUNIOR | SUPERCAR | STINGRAY | ANGEL'S JET FIGHTER. This should keep one busy for a while, yes?

There's a long, involved series waiting to be shown here, with many obvious choices, but beyond my love for CAPTAIN SCARLET, I find myself fascinated by the less famous tech in the later series, like the Jet Car from JOE 90 and Professor Humbert's Minimizer from THE SECRET SERVICE. The famous vehicles will get their due, but don't forget the odd ones that don't get to shine that often.

It was mentioned in the cutaway in the 1967 Captain Scarlet annual.I wish they had incorporated it into the TV series. And as impractical as it would be,those rear tracks will always be a method of climbing steep rock faces to me!

Oh, so if Brains is discussing the layout of the SPV and other vehicles from Gerry Anderson shows, does this mean the shows are now set in the same continuity? I know they mention Zero-X expedition in the first Captain Scarlet episode, but wasn't sure if it was related to Zero-X from the 1966 Thunderbirds Are Go film.

That may have happened at some time in the TV-21 comic book series. They even did a Fireball XL-5 to Dr Who cross-over story at least once, with Steve Zodiac facing off against the Daleks. I only saw a scrap of the story since it was a serial and the comic magazine was old and falling apart by the time I saw it, but I remember Steve pulling his coma ray gun, saying that he wasn't sure if it would be any use, but... and then the Dalek stuns Steve with its weapon, saying something about him being "unable to fight against a superior foe" or some such Dalek-like quote.

Yeah that sounds right, I had quite a few of each line, preferred corgi because they had better spring rates and softer tyres. From memory corgi had James Bond’s Aston Martin and the Batmobile but I think Dinky had all the Gerry & Sylvia Anderson shows, I think there was a Joe 90 flying car too
