I have a question. Did the early Space Human Civilization exists at the same time of the Eldar Empire? About new topics: Anything Ork. Merry Christmas!
@@ThePontiusGlaw69 Gotcha, I saw that you talked about it. But I heard they were galaxy dominant in their respective times. So they shared their dominance?
For the Blood Angels and Sanguinius, everything about their character and demanor screams biblical and Christian. i just can't unseen, especially after reading through Dante trilogy and Blood Angels Dominant books of Horus Heresy. Sanguinius speech to his sons in Echoes of Eternity actually moved me because i put myself in the shoes of Marines, who were rightfully called monsters, but genuinely not given any other choice in their lot, but recieving only scorn from their peers. That act of humility from someone like Sanguinius made killers and cannibals cry it was so beautifully written which makes Sanguinius death even more tragic and kind of justifies the insanity the Blood Angels faced after his ignoble death at the hands of the Arch Traitor! This has nothing to do with the video, but damn and only touches the surface of why the Blood Angels and Sanguinius are my favorite.
As a veteran infantry soldier that last line hits hard. And sometimes I look around at the world and I wonder if what I sacrificed was worth it. I don't know the answer. But I hope so.
Damn, I can only hope that the other factions receive this much care and reflection in your videos. Not just the other Imperium factions, but the Xenos and Chaos as well.

Another amazing video man, superb work as always. Hope you have a Merry Christmas and a happy New year Pontius and team. And to Answer your last question. Yes.
A well told Lore Video. Though about the Gene-Seed i knew, mostly, all of them and how they work, it was such a good refresher. Also about the questions: 1. None of them might be thankful to become a Space Marine, but that depends at the end of the People itself and the Planet they came from, as seen in Dante by Guy Haley, where they are proud to seen one of they Sons become one of the Angels or serve them as Blood-Servants, should they not fulfill the compactability 100%! 2. The Answer is yes, but it also depends on the situation, like in the case of the Crimson Fists!
Dont know if youl see this ponti but i hold you up there with balder and oculus. Love this channel and your perspective on things. Ave deus imperator, gloria in excelcus terra ada mars.
Primarch, honored by thy name. Signed, Heresyposting. Also brother....put some more ads on your videos. Farm this shit. We love you, we'll put up with it. At least for Christmas, coming from a romanian brother who is not an immigrant LOL. Love your shit man.
Explaining Dante's longevity, and the pain he suffers from it, really hits home that even though Astartes are beyond human in the physical sense, some still have a bit of their humanity remaining. We as a species are not designed, intended, whatever you want to call it, to live forever. Ennui wins eventually, and Dante is all but bathing in it, due to his 1500+ years of life. Well beyond that of a normal man, and well beyond the life of any Astartes, who's not spending half their time asleep as a Dreadnought. And the fact that even though he is all but begging for the sweet release of true death, he fights just has hard at 1500+ years of service, as he probably did when he crossed 200 years of service. He's not going to to just throw his weapon aside, and stride in front of the first Carnifex he finds and let it disembowel him. No, Dante is going to make that fucking bug WORK for its meal. And if he dies, then he finally can truly rest, while probably ensuring said Carnifex joins him in sweet sweet death. What Danny is trying to say here I think, is that for as cool and awesome we think Astartes are, we should really understand that they are mostly tormented monsters. These are men, who are human only in appearance, and even that's really pushing it. They are mostly disconnected from humanity as a whole. Their entire mindset is kill the enemy, everything else is expendable. And they are aware of how much hell they go through all but daily. We mortals need to realize that while 40k is fiction, its not outside the realm of possibility that future mankind might try to make super soldiers similar to them, years or centuries after anyone reading this is long dead. And the terrifying question of "what the fuck is humanity fighting, that requires warriors like the Astartes?" What unbelievable horrors will our descendants face that needs warriors who can shoulder charge a speeding armored truck, and burst through it like they're the Kool-Aid man through drywall? We should all hope that the Space Marines of 40k remain fiction. Because to create them, is to unleash hell upon our enemies, and to sacrifice the basic humanity out of good young men.
A good topic for beginners might be the warp and what happens when a normal human enters it. I had always assumed they just get eaten/possessed by demons but heard someone say recently that you just get vaporised if you enter the warp unshielded. Also how much of the warp do the chaos gods reside in and before slaanesh did the eldar gods just push them out of the milkyway? Also is the webway just a stable part of the warp created by the old ones or something else? Finally are the immaterium and the warp the same thing? Been a warhammer fan for over a decade but it was mostly tabletop and games. I recently started reading gaunts ghosts but that's the only book I've (barely) read so the warp still confuses me.
I don't think so. It's relatively common and so it would make the process unsustainable. They are probably cutting the corpses open and implement the organs into other aspirants.

You know..I do wanna know as I watch this live. But can radical inquisitors be able to procure and implant some of these space marine implants? I assume no but then I also assume that one can mimic the implants via mechanicus technology (2nd heart f.ex)
Geneseed, no. Geneseed is the exclusive property of the Astartes and only the Mechanicum are permitted to handle it outside of them and never use it for themselves. But there ARE Inquisitors with non-geneseed technological and genetic enhqncements that bring them up to the level of Space Marines. Lord Inquisitor Hector Rex.of the Ordo Malleus is the most well-known example.
Just gonna point out, that even chaos doesn't take Erda seriously. I don't remember who it was, I think it was someone from the word bearers, who found Erda and when she said that she did all the work for the emperor even this full on chaos marine looks at her and goes "bullshit". I wonder if at that point GW realized no one was taking their revisionist approach towards the emperor seriously and just dropped both Erda and the Astartes scientist, and instead decided to make Cawl their new pet project.
Ah, new series, lore for beginners, eh? Good good, direct quotes will be a big help for it. Wasn't it the Old Night rather? To be fair, a Long Night would fit too(5 millenia long in fact). Funny that Pio mentions progenoids being placed where "sack" is, if it was possible, that could be a....fitting place for it. To save space, I'll put a thought separately, with hope for opinions on it. Moving on, I read or heard somewhere that black carapace is in essence a controlled cancerous growth disguised as a final organ for space marines. Ah yes, Hellsreach and Rynn's World, both part of the Space Marine Battles series. Read the main books of it, they are almost all excellent reads, haven't started it sequel series(Space Marine Conquests) yet, haven't read Dante iirc, will rectify that. Hold on, normally Joey would be summoned to administer punishment, he on vacation or? In slav lands, a slap would suffice. Beating with a cooking implement(be it ladle, rolling pin or a pan) is usually parently affair(those were some hard "zdeng!"s on poor Pio).
Adding the thought mentioned here: a homebrew idea - progenoid nr3, placed where the "sack" usually is(as pio said), after harvesting it, implant it into a compatible womb(a la in vitro style), it grows like a normal human fetus/baby does(with all the extra organs you'd normally need to surgically add already integral to the baby's body during gestation period, thus skipping that step but keeping the others), and making the marine's skin itself function as the black carapace(via injecting it into the top or middle layer rather than. Sadly, neither of these would be feasible in-universe, unless there's fabius bile/drak eldar haemonculi shenanigans at play. Edit to add: possible solution for the "transform the skin into black carapace": take the sus-an membrane's property to merge with the marine's brain and apply it to black carapace(so it merges into the skin)?
The more recent editions of 40K have failed to uphold the level of grimdark that is so intrinsic to not just the individual factions, but the setting as a whole. New fans clamor over the awesome and surreal power of the Space Marines with little appreciation for the horrors that permeate their very existence. Any cries for "equal representation" in a setting that is so wholly different from reality, so cruel and unforgiving, are beyond idiocy. More like unbridled narcissism wearing the veil of progressivism. They want female space marines without stopping to consider all of the shit that comes along with it, and then they trivialize the entire setting whenever someone has a dissenting opinion about their weird obsession with seeing themselves in every piece of media. As long as they can see the outline of a titty in the power armor and a ponytail holder built into the Mark X helmet, they don't care how much storytelling they piss on to get it. They want sexual ideology touched upon in a universe where to be different or to stand out from the herd is a death sentence. In 40k if you insisted that you were a woman born in a man's body you'd be more likely to be turned into a servitor. And that's rather tame compared to some outcomes that await those with the hubris to think their individuality means anything to or for the imperium. Anyways, fantastic work as always Tuna. Thanks for keeping the grimdark alive in a setting that has so many tourists begging for it to end up as cartoonified as warcraft.
