I'm relatively new to the fandom, and I do agree with your logic, however, on the concept of genetic compatibility, while female custodians do not add anything lower wise that the sororitas does not already offer, the canonical explanation is something happened to these women at a young age that rendered them infertile allowing them to be viable candidates. Perhaps surviving great trauma because somehow terra was breached? Perhaps the capital is not the only place that the god emperor seeks these candidates? Or perhaps these two women becoming custodies started as a clerical error and the process was not reversed because they actually showed promise. But yeah, on the knowledge of basic biology, even this is a weak argument

I just had a friend come up with a way to implement female space marines or atleast female space marine like figures in a way that would actually enhance the story in My eyes what do You guys think: female space marines that keep their feminine looks but are as strong as male primaris marines because of a dark secret: They were made by Slaanesh in attempt to infiltrate, corrupt, and seduce the primaris marines. However many of them actually broke free of Slaaneshi control and are attempting to join The Imperium, hiding their past from the inquisition. Of course They'd probably hunt these fuckers to the last, and Space Marines for the most part have no libido or attraction but it still makes more sense than "There's always been female space marines" so how would You guys workshop it, or if not this how would you add female space marines in a way that doesn't butcher the lore if someone held a gun to Your head and said You absolutely have to come up with a way? Because I want more representation for women so They stop asking for female space marines but I want it to fit the lore, and I want the Space Marines to be able to still exclusively call eachother "BROTHER!" because I find it amusing.

I really like this, i've always loved vikings in fantasy settings, but in 40k, the space wolves don't really satisfy me. I feel like this more interesting than their furry transformations or rune magic. I wish we had more and different genetic flaws

I don't think geneseed degradation and aging on it is universal. The geneseed of Dornand Sanguinius are known for faults. Guilliman, Lion known for stability. Logan Grimnar is reported to be the most hale of the Space Wolves for example. Aging is tied to cell division, and regeneration. Thus a space marine would die faster than a human if his DNA didn't have a self repair mechanism. Instead of simple aging, I would consider marines getting old as a result of too much battle damage and stress. Of course in reality it is GW not being clear if they decided on the topic, not how biology works. Many marines like their job. Some are fanatics, others like the Wolves enjoy themselves.

There's also the simple fact that men are physically stronger and more resilient than women. The average women simply can't carry a wounded 90kg+ male soldier in full combat gear to safety. And that's just one of the physical challenges the average imperial soldier would face. The Custodes have to go through waaaay harder training than that.

The organ that causes the blood of a space marine to clot and form scar tissue immediately upon contact with air is malfunctioning in some chapters. Imperial Fists for example no longer have access to this ability due to mutation if i remember correctly.
