We love our Mini X Fury - we have given it some serious hammer, On its first run out it was in the water, in thick mud and up and down steep slopes. Very capable for the price. We have added scale details on a roofrack on ours, and put wheel weights into it now too.
Best review I've seen in a while. Love your humor. Steve you had me in stitches when you were describing the sound of the stock electronics. Great review and tips, you do better than you think. The end gag was a great add. Stat safe and stay tiny. Steve
Great to see you again, Steve! Love these reviews, lots of useful info and very amusing at the same time. Love it, mate! I was looking at one of these the other day - seems like a little bargain. Oh, yes, no - you haven't changed! That's a good thing! Take care, mate. Comment #2
Only two goes at making that stick, there's an improvement! 😬 I think one of Derek's has disappeared in a similar way now... stupid technology. But yeah, I think these Jeeps are a bargain, really - you can improve the electronics for very little, and the rest is either good or great given the price. 👍
Good review. Really useful information on this range of models. The SCX24 gets alot of airtime in comparison. I'm sure you'll have a run video soon. Don't think we didn't notice the Land Rover trailer in the background. Look forward to seeing that out & about too.
Thanks! I just need to do something about the open interior and then yeah, I'll definitely film it out on the rocks. It may already be getting a few other little upgrades too... 😎 As for the trailer, that's pretty much ready for me to go and get it stuck all over the hillsides, so yeah, heavily-edited video coming soon! 👍
AHAHA very funny and yes i can testify that it is a good little rig, and once the wheel wells are blanked off (swoon) I'll be able to look at it again.......... If memory serves it is pretty much a Hobbyplus truck, no? So that's a good thing. Good work Steve (needs massive lift kit)
Could be the greatest review of a car ever! They do look good, been eying them up in our local store. That Star Trek sound is a bit off putting though for sure. Why do I feel hungry when the Welsh fuzz are turning up?
Ha ha, thanks man! Bar the electronics they're great. The little LC80 you've got looks like it's in a similar position - bit jumpy. I was impressed with what it tackled in your latest vid, though. It's another one on my want list... as is an ice cream now. Who mentioned ice creams? Jeez. 🤷♂️
Sorry for the very slow reply... you can't change gears, it just has a central gearbox with three gears in it. They provide the necessary reduction for crawling, and it's a very common way of doing it. I probably should have made that clearer!
Thanks! Is that the 1/24th one? I like the look of those but haven't tried one; they don't seem to crawl with as much control as this, though. The bigger 1/16th Ranger XC versions are pretty cool as well (the Land Rovers in my latest vid) and I think they're a similar price - worth checking out, anyway. 😎👍
I was captivated by this review from beginning to end.
Thanks man! 👍
@@rccrawlersmid-wales645 I was much tickled by your descriptions of the noises emanating from the original ESC/Rx combo.

Yeah, I watched some of your vids before I got mine. Good stuff. Have you had issues with the driveshafts twisting? (I have since filming this). 👍
@@rccrawlersmid-wales645 No, we burnt out the motor, but that was more down to hard use than anything. Touch wood no other issues.
Thats the Fury bit, the furious noise!! 😂🎉
lol

Thanks man, I appreciate that. 😎👍
Great fun presentation, live from the Welsh valley, thank you,
RC Crawlers Mid-Wales. Hope you are well, like for positivity.
Thanks very much! I appreciate it - all the best to you too. 👍

Great vid Steve, I keep looking at these 🥰 T.
Pretty good one to get into 1/18ths, I reckon, though the Axial Jeep would definitely outperform it in stock form. 👍

Nice video, my friend!
I enjoyed it.
I'm looking forward to your next video ^^

Funny? How very dare you, I was deadly serious. 🤨

Nice
Reccomending this with cheap esc upgrade to a friend who likes my scx24 but wants cheaper options
Sorry for the very slow reply... these are great little trucks, I reckon. I still enjoy mine.
Thanks for sharing, njce video 👍👍
Welcome! 👍

This sounds like a West Midlands Trains setting of 😂
Nice to know there are still trains actually setting off...
It is a fun and interesting video good job; I just put it on my wish list 🔵🔵🔵👍👍👍😀😀😀✔️✔️✔️🔵🔵🔵
Good to hear! 😎👍
How do you change gears? Does it have 3 gears Low, Neutral & High gear or does it mean it has 3 gears that helps it drive

Great video, now do I go for the ftx outback mini 3.0 or one of these for some winter fun?

@@rccrawlersmid-wales645 yes it’s the 1/24th version by ftx, no worries if you haven’t tried one out. Keep the vids coming 👍🏻
Sounds like the end of the war on the end of the phoneline 😅😅😅 ngl mate that had me laughing a little harder than I should 😅😅😅
😆👍
