Glad to hear you speak out about Adidas. I wish more people stood up for their beliefs instead of just staying neutral to avoid offending someone. All it takes for evil to prevail, is for good men to do nothing.
Thank you Marnie for your political stand against Addidas. It is difficult to do considering the complexity of the supply chain. However, when a company comes out publicly with their political identity and ideology, it is important that we as consumers make our feelings obvious.😊
I have always stayed out of this sort of thing, precisely because of supply chain issues, and not wanting to affect other people's incomes based on my personal opinions or values. But this one was just too much to stay quiet.
Good for you on returning that product. We have to "speak" with our pocket books. I also do not buy Adidas or shop at Target. Thank you for all your hard work on bringing us great options!
I support your stance on Adidas. I stopped buying from them and Nike a couple of years ago, as well as other companies too numerous to name. I have no regrets.
I recently donated my Adidas runners. My son is a winter Olympian and regardless of political views, what happened in 1972 should never be celebrated. Thank you for standing up for what is right and for your wonderful content!
I subscribe to your channel and I don't know if I've ever commented, maybe...however, I can't type fast enough to applaud your choice to return the Adidas shoes based on your views. I am appalled as well and no longer purchase several brands for, in my opinion, are supporting choices I absolutely and never will align with. Good for you...if all of us stood up for what is humane, moral and correct, our country/world would be a better place. So proud of you and for expressing so openly your views. #strongsmartwoman
I Applaud your returning this product. I also boycott many products, and that Adidas would choose to do that with the memory of October 7 so fresh in our memories, is beyond the pale. We have not forgotten this atrocity and stand with our Jewish brothers and sisters.
Thank you for talking about Adidas.I applaud you for being true to your beliefs. After October 7th, I purged my makeup collection of brands supporting terrorism and got rid of 2 pairs of Adidas sneakers.
I quit Nordstrom a few years ago after some of their political comments. Frankly I wish that companies would focus on selling products and stay out of political commentary. Same applies to entertainment and sports. Still miss Nordstrom and at the same time I've found plenty of other spots to shop.
I am so happy to see you publicly take this stand. As much as people try to avoid “politics” so as to not ruffle feathers, I truly believe enough is enough at this point. If people don’t like me because I will be transparent in my beliefs and morals, I don’t want them in my life or my social circle anyways. That is coming from someone without a public platform, so I’m sure it is a sticky situation for someone in your position. Love you Marni!!
Good for you, won’t be buying Addidas going forward and returning the pair I bought. Missed their promotion of the ‘72 Olympics but find it to be outrageous, especially in light of Oct 7.
No Adidas or Nike for us, and just last week we cancelled our Netflix (after years of subscribing), due to their political stance. P.S. We will ALWAYS stand with Israel ❤️🇮🇱💙
We've been a non Target household since they started allowing men into the women's bathrooms and it's sad because we used to love going there. But you have to be able to draw the line at something. The '72 Olympics happened when I was 11 years old and was where I first learned about terrorism. These corporations are counting on the young generations to keep them afloat in coming years, but also don't realize they're not going to have as much wealth as our generation, due to conditions they've helped create. It's a crazy, radical stance for the CEOs. History matters.
I appreciate knowing the info on addidas (and other companies). I’m not always in the loop. Our only way to voice our opinion is thru our dollars. I’m thankful there are so many other options or look a likes. We don’t need to patronize them. Most are cheaper too. Win-win!
