What about the "Cannon Boys" in this video? Lowko mentioned them being better than Orbitals (or does that only apply if Florencio is in command?).
The armory is not for hellbats but for making the widow mines more stealthy and therefore more salt-extracting.
how does having armory effect your widow mines?
@@Blankstareman One of the recent patches changed it so that just having an armory makes your widow mines hidden even after firing. Previously you needed to get the "drilling claws" upgrade for that.
It is my headcannon that Florencio is secretly the highest ranked player but got bored of winning so he cheeses every game to keep entertained

Loose all hydras the same time against widow mines
He didn't say they were pretty good, he said they beat Widow Mines. Because they do. They outrange them and quickly kill them. However, if you watch the replay, Schnetz shoots 3 Widow Mines, losing 0 Hydras. Then he group clicks, and walks his Hydras into the remaining Widow Mine range. They all immediately die. Just like Colossus will handily beat Zerglings, unless you just walk straight into a pack of Zerglings without shooting.
@@genocidealive Frankly I didn't even realize they outranged mines, I just thought they killed them too quickly for the mines to be effective. Really good information I'm going to use from now on!

Ikr, like I'm a plat zerg and was facepalming a lot at some of these choices. Though to be fair you really don't need to be cost efficient as zerg if you're ahead on bases, but those trades were maybe the poorest I've seen in a while
There also is a german word "GeSCHNETZeltes" which means "small stripes/cubes of fried meat; ususally served with a sauce".
Florentio basically made Zerg Geschnetzteltes.

I watched Florencio play _Portal_ a short while back, and he solved _every single puzzle_ the wrong way. Which is to say, he did it his own way, which was to find the most difficult possible solution and keep trying to make it work until it did.
His brain just works differently than ours. And we should be thankful for that.
Florencio is the StarCraft version of TF2’s Bing Soy.
I want to see Florencio submit a game where he plays a super common build order and see if it blows Lowko's brain.

At 18:30 I believe Florencio moved Banshees to hide burrowing Widow Mines (although Banshees were cloaked, Overseers made them visible and therefore able to "hide" Mines. Notice how Banshees moved there just before Mines unborrowed and moved away just after borrow to avoid splash damage.
Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe I'm just overthinking it, but it definitely looked like it was intentional

Though an orbital is a much stronger choice for at least your first couple of command centers, there is something to be said about using Planetary Fortresses against lower level opponents. At higher levels Florencio wouldn't be abel to rely on his opponent throwing away units needlessly against his planetaries, but in games like this, well, apparently it's cost effective.
Planetary Fortress is to allow me to be more aggressive out in the map. The other races don't have that benefit in having more time in the map instead of my base waiting for an attack.
The reason why I love your Videos are not only the good content... but mainly also your pleasant voice and perfect english.

This could have changed but Flo usually prefers a PF instead of Orbital since it takes less micro and he can do his shenanigans on the other side of the map and surprise his opponent with a PF in his main protecting his SCV’s
This game he might’ve prioritized the minerals for other things
Also I think he even queues probes at hidden bases so he can dedicate his micro on his shenanigans
Orbitals are just crutches anyway. I mean, none of the other two races gets mules and they work just fine, right?

Yet Flo wins too often and swims too deep in the sewer to be punished for that. And thank you again for casting this really weird game, it's an excellent entertainment you introduced into your channel!

I remember in Homeworld (space RTS) units had to do just what you are suggesting, small ships returned to base to get upgraded, bigger ones just needed you to give them the upgrade command which would disable them for a period of time while they upgraded.

Okay lowko here comes my interpretation of upgrades and why most of them does not need to be reequipped:
The terrans are used to travel to multiple planets and having to re adapt whenever they land.
The blue flame upgrade is the easiest one: The fire mechanism needs to be calibrated for the atmosphere.
As soon as it is "researched" all helions just need to apply the correct configuration.
Similar story with the stimpack: The marines and their space suit needs to be calibrated for the oxygen intake.
However the use of stimpack changes the metabolism and therefore the oxygen demand. The marines carry enough drunks, but are not allowed to use them, before the exact dose for the environment is calculated.
I needed to squeeze a lot of energy drink into the shield upgrade: It has to do with the humidity and the radiation.
The right ratio of water absorbing support material and impact absorbing material needs to be calibrated first.
Otherwise the shield might not withstand a single hit and endagers the troops.
This also explains why the lab needs to be attached to the production facilities and why it can be used to "research" so many different technologies.
The lab is just an processing unit with a big sensor array to gather a lot of data.

I always thought of Starcraft as a small representation of something very huge going on.
One zerling unit is equal to hundreds of them, one marine equals a squad.
The time required to complete an upgrade would be what is needed to process de order, make production and apply the upgrades by logistics and transport.
Also the map is in reality a whole planet and when the resources are depletted, it means that the planet has gone dry of them.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. We tend to play starcraft as a developed instinct, rather than a cerebral strategy exercise. Maybe because that's how most video games are played? Maybe because SC2 has so much going on in each game, our mind is just too caught up thinking about 5 things at once?
Painful to watch, yet fun somehow, haha.
I was paying attention so closely to the banshee counter attack and the home defense that I actually didn't notice just how many ravens he built. I just about lost it when you cut to them, like... who does mass raven anymore? Its hilarious watching it work regardless though.

At 10:00, Flo almost did a 200IQ loopeyloop with the zerg chasing his bait. Completely out of position by 10:10 with the heckions having a home stretch to the zerg's mineral lines.

My problem against 1 base terran is how can i push up the ramp to a couple siegetanks? The trade feels so inefficent.
The hellions always come with blue flames and the marines always have shields but they have a union and part of the agreement is they wont use their shield or blue flame unless you pay the union the extra minerals/gas

Mass Raven isn't exactly a new thing though - and back in like 2014 it was literally impossible for Zerg to beat if you didn't kill the Terran player early, since PDD negated literally all zerg anti-air.

Question to Lowko - Why do Zerg Players not put their Overseers on Sentry mode in key places? I mean, I do put SCs around the mineral line sure, but also put my OSs on base ramps, pillars or wahtever so I could see these sneak attacks and not have to frantically move my OSs here and there. So was just wondering. Is it some Platinum joke m too bronze to understand?
This is the second time I have watched this match-up and cast in a week. The entertainment value is huge. Florencio is a legend in my world!

As a terran player i find it kinda hard to counter baylings when they’re upgraded. Any tips?
They are nowhere near Platinum league. They look like maximum silver. Back in the day, Gold league players knew how to macro and how to fight. Plat league players were Gold league players that don't miss injections and creep spread.

Orbitals really are like building depots seeing how they can calldown extra supplies and mules can harvest without counting towards supply allowing more supply for army units.
