description says this can also be used as a freezer. how well does it perform as a small freezer? I use a large rotomolded cooler with frozen water bottles instead of a fridge. I want to be able to rotate bottles in/out of the freezer to extend our stay time
I’ve never tested it long-term, but I did take it down to its minimum temperature and kept it there for about six hours and it worked flawless. Really great machine.
@@AZWESTSIDEWHEELERS - thank you. I want to use it for freezing water bottles while camping. I use them in the cooler, so being able to rotate them in/out will extend time in field.
Thank you very much. We appreciate the feedback. We absolutely love this fridge and all of the fridges from this company. They are amazing and great people to work with.
Ever consider freezing a few of the water bottles before you leave? Figure it would provide a head start to cooling it down and when they thaw they just become water bottles
With a normal ice chest, that would be the way to go. But with this fridge if you put cold drinks in and give it 30 minutes plugged in before you leave, that’s all you need everything stays cold once you plug it into your vehicle or the battery.
I can’t contest their quality but I know that these F40 fridges are definitely worth the money. They are a fraction of the cost of some brand name fridges and work amazingly.
@@AZWESTSIDEWHEELERS I own the Iceco 45l Fridge/Freezer and it well built all metal construction in and out but at $500 and just need something small and dependable for a Semi day cab truck that if gets stolen not out much.
@@dunnoyolo2238 yeah that’s understandable, so actually watching these fridges a lot of times they go on sale to about the same price as what you’re describing in the Vevor.
