So true about how films are watched today with another distraction, that hit home. Makes me want to go to the cinema and watch movies, reminist about when I was a kid with friends. Always great content.

Can’t help but feel like this was staged and that the story would have been better served if it went along the lines of you wanting to hit the big screen, asking a bunch of large corporate theaters to show your movie, them inevitably saying no. But then you reach out to and have a genuine experience and connection with a local independent theater who I’m sure would have supported your goal. And just plugging small business and real people supporting art
Looking back that could have been a great story too, but I rather wanted to do it as I would of when I was 20 and mischievous which no social media or reach and minimal money. Nowadays, based on my RUclips channel, and social media presence, cinemas are more inclined to say yes for the promotion element. I wanted to do it as if I didn’t have 1 subscriber so the only way was to break in. That’s my opinion though. Yours however is very valid and thank you for your feedback bru!

Scrolling through reels and TikTok videos and often not taking anything informative or life touching away from them, or if so minimal. Was definitely awesome to screen your first film you uploaded and know that those seated there would have taken something away from this, and especially considering they would have been expecting to watch whatever film was set to be screened. I no longer have the time to try to do elaborate, long, sound designed, awesome effects movie attempts. It makes me sad, as I love shooting and editing. I was wondering, Dan... I could try to become a really good 1- 3 minute, short banger type video's (in landscape mode, NOT portrait mode)... where I can still have time for the effects, sound design, color grading, transitions... where it still tells a story- just very quickly, and not lose something I enjoy doing for good. I don't think you will see this post, but one can only try. No try- then nothing happens for sure. if you see this, what do you think? 😀
