    I sure wish that Toyota would bring this truck to the market in America.

    I know a LOT of People (myself included) that have been waiting on this truck to make it to the US. Right now, I drive a 2002 Dodge 1500 Quadcab w' a 4.7L gas engine and a 2018 Ram 2500 Quadcab w/a 6.7L Cummins. What I need is a Cab/chassis w/a flatbed.

      I’m sorry that it won’t be coming to the US because our “amazing” government has this thing called the chicken tax

    It wont be sold in N America unless it gets the same fuel economy as a sedan. Thats the reason manufactures stopped selling compact pickups there in the first place. The smaller pickups sold now are large enough to fall under the large pickup guidelines. Toyota pickups from the 80s and 90s with 22r 4 cyl engines were among some of the best vehicles ever made.

    I want it in the USA. It would become the most popular truck purchased all through the country.

    Diesel AWD Offroad and Tow package with A/C and swap options for the bed frame: Bed, Covered Bed, RV.
    Such a small modular truck with those features and you've got a sale. Bring this US ASAP

      Yeah. This video made it sound like it's comming soon to a dealer near you, but I am pretty sure there is no plan at Toyota to bring it here. They are already beating the US automakers, and selling Tacomas, so why stir up protectionist in congress?

    Yes why did this take so long to come out!!!

  • @Wogger1
    @Wogger1 3 дня назад

    They would be sold out all the time, you would never be able to get your hands on one because they wouldn’t have any to sell. They could make them day and night and they would never be able to catch up with the demand

    Lol Im pretty sure the Champ is only offered in 2WD. Bro is talking about offroad enthusiasts buying this in the description. Like, no dawg 2WD trucks are about as far from off road capable as it gets.

    There is no way they will sell in the US for 12,000. After import fees, taxes, document fees, delivery fees, tariff fees, registration fees, dealer markup fees, etc. It will be 30,000 or more. This is a bs joke.

    @richardsmiley7272 24 дня назад

    Nope: I'll take the basic truck. Don't need the features... unless you consider a heater during the winter as an option - although I think that if you are going to sell me a forever pickup you ought to galvanize the frame: we use a lot of salt on winter roads.

      Once the truck arrives at dealerships, its price is likely to skyrocket unpredictably

    • @marksmanaz
      @marksmanaz 26 дней назад +1

      @@AutoEdgeRUclips Until it is no longer competitive to other trucks on the market. The reliability at a good price is the selling point. If they lose sight of that then they more than likely will tank sales when price hits a peak.

    You repeat youself several times in this video. Realistically it should be a 2-minute presentation. Also, you need to make the narration for what the viewer is seeing. Do better.

    Will not make it to USA. Liberal California regulations adopted by 49 states + chicken tax. Climate politics discourage
    high volume cheap new ICE vehicles. For the USA budget truck market, the used Kei truck market is growing, recycling small
    low mileage trucks that are no longer used in Japan. These used trucks already made, not using new resources.

      The new administration is pro business, anti regulation. So don't be surprised if this makes it to the U.S. Especially if Toyota decides to build them here. With U.S. standards and payroll costs it will likely be $25k+.

      This is not a lei wannabe. It’s a different thing. Kei trucks (and cars and vans) are cool but the Champ is far more rugged.
