    Crazy how they're trying to find a MINT cab & looks like they're really tight ssa holes they won't pay up for a really good cab. I hate dealing with buyers like that. The funny thing is they're body men & will tell you that they can do all this type of work but they're just full of sht. Yeah 50 plus yr. old cabs wonder why they aren't in mint condition?

    • @RanasRadar
      @RanasRadar  7 месяцев назад

      Definitely not looking for a mint condition cab, I hope you find the right buyers for yourself, and thank you for watching.

    I know the large farm truck cab is the same but can't remember if the cab mounts are exactly the same but a lot of those are in better shape than the pick up cabs. Just something to consider.

    • @keithbrann5086

      The large trucks also had factory running boards due to how high they sat which also protected the rockers. I think you are correct that the cab mounts are different.

      leaf springs were optional on the chevys with the trailing arms/coil springs being standard. I think in the GMCs it was reversed

    Very ambitious of you to be building a 55 yr old truck. I guess the one w/ the camper is the most complete even the bumper looks good. This is going to be a process you'll remember for a long time. These were all work vehicles, driven hard & put away when their lives were over. Best of luck,I'd do a Google search & try to find one still running for 10k.

    I must be a lot better than I thought as you have one decent cab. I can't imagine how bad and someone not being able to recue it as to building another cab. You haven't really used any used parts. Always new so why now. Western Kansas has complete rust free cabs that will probably have some rodent damage but even so, you should be able to even get past that

    • @RanasRadar

    Time into the video 2:56.
    That cab isn't worth 10 cents. Even if it were to be used to move junk around a large property I'd walk away from that one. I doubt that roof will keep the water out. If it happens keep the water out today it won't be long before it stops doing that. That's ok because you'll be keeping a caulk-gun and an assortment of sealants in the cab to keep dust and water from coming in the floor, door bottoms, and rockers anyway. That roof looks like it'll end up looking like an Irish castle very soon.
