I was surprised no one suggested using the two summons to help clear those guys. I'll give some nice hints and info at the end to make up for the trouble. Still looking forward to the other half of Heide's Tower and then Cathedral of Blue. The bosses there are must see. Remember to 1v1 the soldier and then go left. After the duel the two guarding the paths will attack though. Also the Heide Knight. It's hilarious that the miracle lady charges 2,000 souls to push a button. The Skeleton Lords and Executioner Chariot are some great bosses. I'm real glad you got to see them. Mytha is a neat design. It was hilarious to see you finally get caught at the fog door after making it by the skin of your teeth so many times. It was also hilarious about the bridge segment when you said "if you hit a wall you might be doing it wrong" then hit a wall and repeated what you were doing to the point of rage. DS2 really encourages co-op or npc summons. I wish you'd seen the summon point to the windmill. Npc summons and invaders can seem so alive with personality. I'm also really happy you found Chloanne and talked to her dad. Blacksmiths and their daughters. One reason why Elden Ring is Dark Souls II 2. She's pretty useful too when her stock upgrades. I hope you love the fever dream geographic dimensionality. If one compiles the various areas there'd be overlap in some areas. The world is old. Even the lordvessel is trash in the Majula basement. So I love that the elevator at Earthen Peaks leads to Sky Lava Castle. So first tip will help with farming. There are several gold serpent rings that increase item drop rate. The +1 is given by a merchant in Iron Keep after spending 10,000 souls. The +2 is dropped in NG+ by the Belfry Gargoyles as NG+ cycles in DS2 are the *only* ones that actually change things. To NG+ the Gargoyles burn in the bonfire after them (ramparts). The real danger of bonfire aescetics is how addictive they are for the sweet loot. Mytha can be aesceticed at the upper bonfire for a Silver Serpent Ring +2 which gives 30% more souls. You can buy Brightbugs before the price skyrockets. It increases damage dealt by 20% and reduces received by 20%. There is a glitch for "infinite" duration. Simply use when wet, quit out, then load back in. However if you die or warp it will cease. Still very handy in tough areas. The Pharros Mask is useful for this glitch. You can get boss weapons in the Bastille. Such as Pursuer's Ultra Great Sword. In Earthen Peak there is a hidden shrine to Sun Bro Solaire. Not important. Just a covenant and something neat to think about. In Iron Keep beware turtles on the fragile segmented bridge. If the samurai prove difficult don't completely lower the bridge. Somewhere there is a mimic.
You appreciate chloannes traids and traits too yes? She and the dersert sorceress set is the reason i look always forward to this area despite the... ambience.
I'm not a rage type of person, but that boss run must be the worst in all souls games. Especially the level you usually reach that place. I finally found a strat in which i ran past them all & jumped onto the platform to the right at the end of the bridge. They can't reach you & give up. Then you can collect your thoughts & beat the invader person (after a few more tries) I would fail the jump quite often to start with. The whole saga was pain. So good to have someone to share that pain with 🖤
Dark in DS2 is 1 of 2 things, Hexes and the Pilgrims of Dark covenant. Dark is in root to the Darkness of man's Dark Soul, so it often lures man natively. In DS2 the Dark Sign was at its weakest and hollowing dark sigils emerged.
Getting your Agility to 100 didn't get you any more s. With 99 AGL, you have 12 s (96 AGL gives 11 s). You need 105 AGL to get one (!) more . On 60fps, one is 16 milliseconds. Surely helps, right?
Great progress today! Bonfire Placement used to be a part of the difficulty equation in Demons, Dark Souls 1 & 2 and Bloodborne, making "Boss runbacks" much more difficult. Being there are no difficulty settings, SOME people cried and From Soft caved to the "accessibility" peeps & now in DS 3 & Elden Ring you find them on every street corner. the gripes of the few many times ruin the experience for the rest, such as life.
