Nothing wrong with Harrah's at all. I have stayed there numerous times, and the rooms are nice and clean, a nice location, great casino and sportsbook, and as far as food is concerned, there certainly is enough places to eat. The Fulton Food Court has plenty of seating, with pizza, salads, sandwiches, breakfast food, sushi, noodle bar, etc. Gordan Ramsey Kitchen, Walk Ons, Ruth Chriss Steakhouse and Pizza Cake, give you enough places to choose from. Also, you are right next door to plenty of fast food choices, Outback, Denny's, and the whole Linq Promenade is steps away, where you have so many more choices, like Chayo Mexican Restaurant, Gordon Ramsey Fish and Chips, In & Out Burger, Flour & Barley, Yardhouse, etc. No need to complain about places to eat, since that's just being picky. There is nothing wrong with Harrah's at all. People just love to complain about anything these days. They want a budget friendly hotel, yet want to have the best of everything. It doesn't work that way. Go stay inCosmo, Venetian or the Wynn, and you will have plenty of expensive restaurants to choose from.

    • @ShowMeVegas
      @ShowMeVegas  Год назад +2

The food hall is basically a ghost town. The only food options down there during my stay were Bobby's Burgers and the pizza place. No salads, no sushi, no noodle bar. All appeared to be permanently closed. Nobody said it needs to have the best of everything, but for a 2,500+ room budget hotel to offer only one casual sit-down restaurant (Walk-Ons) for dinner, that's pretty poor.

We always stay at Harrahs in Vegas.. we have been to most and now we only stay at Harrahs because of the size.., it is not huge like Cesar’s , Planet Hollywood, Venetian and many others. We are in our 70’s and hate walking a mile to get to our rooms… we are VIP so our hosts always comps us a suite which are really nice and huge! I love the location, we go right out front and get a cab to anywhere and it is just a short distance… Love Gordon Ramsey’s French Onion Soup and Walk Ons has a wonderful breakfast menu! We have no trouble finding good food to eat but we do like to go to Cesar’s Bacchanal buffet and Joe’s Crab ..
Last summer I rented a pool cabana so my whole family could spend a pool day together… it was great, food, good music and a really nice pool.
We have always gotten excellent service at Harrahs… all this makes us want to keep going back..

We stayed there last weekend. Valet parking is not free. It was $40/night. Early check in was $60. A smoking room was extra $20/night. I have only been charged for these things at the higher end resorts. I did not expect this from an average resort. The elevators in the mountain tower sounded like they were falling apart. And the a/c barely worked. I was very disappointed.

They actually gave you coffee! 😮 We just got back yesterday and we stayed at Harrahs the first thing we noticed was the price of food 🙀 luckily there were other options outside the hotel within walking distance. The next day we went to an Albertsons cause we weren’t supplied with coffee and after paying $11 for a single Muscle Milk I got a four pack at Albertsons. We tried NOT to eat in the hotel as much as possible. The next morning we went to go make coffee and the keurig was BROKEN 😠 Called the front twice and no one showed up to replace it I got fed up and got changed ran downstairs to buy coffee 😢 I had to go to the front desk and complain which resulted us getting a new keurig. The day before we checked out housekeeping never showed up to clean or make the beds 😠 needless to say me and my mom were not happy with our stay and we won’t be staying there again. It’s sad cause harrahs is one of the iconic hotels and casinos with a rich history on the Vegas strip.

I'd certainly stay as my room is really for sleeping, well, so is my pool chair. By the way, it's a pretty nice pool. There are plenty of cool drinks, cool stuff to do right here in the neighborhood.

I jumped on the MGM Resorts Reward Program Bandwagon in December 2021. In December 2022 I reached Platinum Tier Status, and I love it. The non-smoking NoMad on top of the non-smoking Park MGM Hotel & Casino is very quiet and peaceful late at night. The NoMad is my place to “stay and play” while I'm visiting Las Vegas at least 3 times a year. The way the “Point System” is set up in Vegas it makes no sense for me to spend my money anywhere but MGM Resort Destinations. I'm staying at the Beau Rivage in just 36 days and I can't wait.

We've been to Vegas twice since Covid restrictions have eased up. Room rates are insanely high and I feel as if this will be the new norm because a) people will pay it and b) with more and more entertainment being in Vegas (Golden Knights, Formula 1, my husband's football ugh, can't say it) it's the "justification" for charging SO much.

I've stayed at Harrahs many times over the past 30 years , and find that there is a vast difference in the rooms. But the deal breaker was the shower design! The morons who ordered/designed/installed them should be condemned to use them eternally. To my utter amazement, lots of other resorts are installing similar designs (but with curtains). So hotels can save a few bucks by buying less glass/plastic - and all the flooded floors make housekeepers jobs a bit easier. It is considered a fire hazard to have a coffee maker in the room. Are food halls becoming more prevalent at hotels now? When you gamble what is your game of choice? Piano bars are nice. Most cruise ships have them. Nice Sports Book. Ah, your game of choice must be BJ. I don't like those types of shows either. Stayed there for 6 nights, 2 1/2 weeks ago for the first week of the NCAA Tournament. Biggest convention Vegas has (every 3 years) was also that week for some stupid reason. For me, location is the only reason to stay at Harrah's. And the generous drink tickets in the sports book. We have friends that always stay at Mirage for March Madness, so that's the main reason Harrah's wins out. Seriously looking to switch to Planet Hollywood/Paris/Horseshoe location in the future though as I agree with all of your points about the property. Walk Ons sure seems pricey, but food looks good. If we had some local MGM properties in Kansas City, I'd consider switching loyalty. I'm all for staying downtown for at least part of the trip in the future.

Paris and PH have some pretty high limit tables that will pay 3-2 BJ. Typical wkend will require $100 to get 3-2 at Paris/PH. Horseshoe will be $50. If you play lower limits, then it's likely irrelevant between the 3, and would likely point you to downtown. Anyway, Paris is a great option if you want something with an upscale feel without a high scale price. Plus, as you know, the Paris and Horseshoe are linked so you get two for one If you enjoy poker, PH has a room (at least did in the past), but Horseshoe has a new poker room that is amazing. It's truly a great room.

Fulton Food Hall has some very good options ......the Asian choices are by far better than "Food Court" type of food. I did however, have a TERRIBLE breakfast experience at an establishment that is no longer there......ordered food, waiter NEVER came back, so I walked out.....wasted 45 mins of my time.

My sister and i stayed at Harrah's for years and years. She was Diamond Status, but once they closed the Complimentary Diamond Lounges, and they were skimpimg on Rewards, we changed our visits. The showers are terribly dangerous, which designer thought of that concept. The Casino used to be fun, with it so busy, now its no mans land...dead! They got rid of Buck, Chip and ? The famous sculpture that was photographed by everyone. Yes, it was tacky but isn't that Vegas? This new corporation is sucking the life out of their Hotels and Casinos. NO!! I don't want to check in by a kiosk, what kind of welcome is that to customers that are staying there, gambling and eating at outrageous famous chefs restaurants that aren't actually in the kitchens!! Check ins are later, paying for early check in. If my room is empty, why can't i use it, is someone napping in the bed before!? No fridge, no coffee maker, for a room that comes in at $200.00+. Really.
We stay in Summerlin now at a Resort. Stop making unnecessary changes that have absolutely no improvement.

Harrah’s is one of the many aging hotels in Vegas. It’s not what it used to be in the old days. Food is pricey now and the slots have been replaced with real rip off slots. I didn’t know what I was doing last time. Harrah’s has become scuzzy with a lower grade clientele I noticed a couple years ago September 2021 when last there.

The drop-off/pick-up area smelled like strong sewage. room was dirty. housekeeping didn't show the first two days. no in-room coffee, the TV didn't work (at first), the room keys quit working, the website is dishonest and the staff just seem ignorant (not stupid, they were nice, just didn't know anything), one racist event... from an African American girl, go figure. no shower door, no microwave, noisy all night long. had friends come up for a stay and they said never again. Not sure I would call this a video about "complaining about every aspect of the room." It's an honest hotel overview and review. I'm not sure what purpose this video would serve if I didn't give my opinion on whether or not this room was worth the $200 per night I paid. That's the point of a review.
I recently chose Flamingo and Harrah's because a.) neither property had ever been featured on the channel, b.) they're both popular choices by the masses (and especially first-time Vegas visitors), and c.) we have covered MGM Resorts properties to death and needed to offer our viewers a new perspective. First and foremost, it always makes sense to review the basic standard room, as that's the room probably 80 percent of the viewers on RUclips are going to book.
As always we appreciate your viewership and your comments, keep them coming! And stay tuned because as always there will be a great variety of content on the channel, from budget properties to high-end.
