I met a guy at an All Ford car show, in Nashville back in '95, that had a Cammer in a Cobra...he said the engine had to be put together, inside the body...
Carol built one for himself and Bill Cosby wanted one and so Carol built another one and Cosby scared the crap out of himself with it and brought it back.It was sold and the guy that bought it lost control and totaled it because it would top out at about 210 miles per hour.at least that was the story I heard.I am 70 years old so after cancer surgery and radiation treatments my memory isn't what it used to be
WoW!! Absolutely beautiful! It reminds me of a copper and brass Rolls Royce that was made for a Saudi Sheikh back in the 30's or 40's. It's on display in Reno Nevada, at a car museum.
Wow, that thing is spectacular! I didn't know you could weld copper. You could also make another one, and then electroplate it with nickel and then chrome... Polished-out bare copper would be cool too.
Absolutely unique and beautiful take on a Cobra! I love the beauty of the copper body and the Cammer engine. It could only be better if the stacks and cam covers were copper, too.
There is a copy of a Jag XK120 in Florida that was built by a Filipino teenager in the 70's out of 55 gallon drums that he had shaped and welded to form a perfect body. I wish I had 1/10 of that kids skill.
I just about wet myself when you opened the hood of the copper car…then you opened up the 427 cross plane twin supercharger. How do you pick between these two amazing cars. 🤯
Now those are two King Cobras! Such awesome craftmanship in that copper Cammer and they put an automatic in it???? Come on a car that awesome needs a manual transmission!! That twin blown one is just bad!! Is that one a glass body or aluminum? I bet both of those are a scary ride!!
@@ventedvoice Automatics are so boring! Yes C6 is the main option, big heavy and a power robber. A C4 is also a possibility, if it was fully built and used an aftermarket adapter bellhousing. It's a much smaller/lighter package and robs less power to operate. I'm sure someone could figure out a way to adapt and run a newer style computer controlled auto behind one too. But those engines deserve a manual transmission!
That car is not copper, it’s bronze. I’m not talking about the color, I’m telling you it’s actually made out of bronze. It’s made by Kirkham in Utah and this car is pretty well known, it’s bronze. Gotta love the quality video making here, no fricken idea what they are talking about, but happy to act like it.
This car is polished bronze not copper. Although we manufacture solid copper cars here at Kirkham Motorsports as well. - Nick Kirkham, Kirkham Motorsports
If I remember correctly Cosby sent his super snake back to Shelby who resold it to the subsequent owner who was killed in it I believe it went off a cliff in California
Everyone turns their heads when someone mentions the shelby cobra or the cammer... Picture it together. Ford ever had plans for a street version of the sohc?
I think it's beautiful! I can't imagine that car being able to hook up, with so much power!❤👍
Spectacular! What a drop dead gorgeous combination! 427 SOHC is one of my truly wonder lust engines. Madonna is right!

no it is a replica of Carroll's twin paxton cobra, Cosby's was destroyed when driving off of a cliff into the ocean.
