Some fun facts about the opening sequence in Skyrim: * It is an Elder Scrolls series tradition that your character is some heretofore unspecified "Prisoner" who (through one twist of fate or another) gets set free. * Skyrim's opening specifically is kinda more "compressed" and gets you into action faster than previous Elder Scrolls games. Similarly, your character attributes are much simpler and more pragmatic than previous games. Standing Stones, for example, are functionally a buff you can swap out at any time, when in previous games it was a permanent part of your character creation. Next, some fun facts about playing a Khajiit: * The "Night Eye" power is mostly just for convenience, but can still be a nice help in dark areas. In Elder Scrolls tradition this is considered a "lesser power" which you can toggle on/off at will (as contrast with "greater powers" that are limited to 1 use per day, like a Nord's "Battlecry" or Argonian's "Histskin"). * If "Survival Mode" is enabled _(not_ recommended for first-time players!), Khajiit have some natural resistance to cold environments (second only to Nords, who are native to Skyrim) and can eat raw meat without contracting diseases. * Khajiit fold their ears back when in combat. * All Khajiit dialogue is performed by just _two_ voice actors (male and female). And some observations about your playthrough specifically: * At 11:25 the black dragon hit a few NPCs (and you) with a dragon shout called "Unrelenting Force" (and at max power, too). Had the dragon used Fire Breath instead, you could _definitely_ have gotten deep fried in just the opening sequence. And yes, it is very easy to confused getting "ragdolled" with getting _killed_ since that's one of the only times where the game forcibly switches to external camera mode. * It does not make a big difference whether you follow Hadvar or Ralof out of Helgen; both of them have connections to Riverwood (Hadvar is related to the blacksmith, Alvor), and you'll be subsequently asked to inform the Jarl of Whiterun about the dragon attack. You do get some unique dialogue if you follow them to Riverwood, but you are free to go anywhere else and start other quests if you want to.
This game is very good. At some point you will think you completed everything, except you won't have because there is SO MUCH. I've never actually been able to 100% complete the game with how much there actually is. I end up starting a new character a lot.
So sweet to see:-) I have been playing Oldrim, Skyrim SE+AE in all for over 5000 hours, but it is fun to see someone discovering the game for the first time.
Does he ever find out the Stormcloaks/Nords are xenophobic racists who don't even let Khajiit enter their cities? Brunwulf Free-Winter: Are you one of those 'Skyrim belongs to the Nords' types? RalphieG: Yes, _my kind_ doesn't belong here. Has there ever been a _good_ group called "storm" anything? Both of the "Storm Troopers" in real history and in the movies were bad...really bad. You'd probably get the serious side-eye if you told people you read/like "Stormfront." As a general rule, unless you swing that way, it's probably safe to just avoid any groups who name starts with "storm."
Loved watching your playthrough. Looked like you were really into it and enjoying it. I still consider myself new to the game, been playing for a year now. This is my favorite game of all time.
Your reactions are perfect! lol Anyone who can make a Skyrim Playthrough interesting is truly something! It's such a slow game normally, but you make up for that with how invested you are :)
ayooo? nobody gonna talk about the fact that bro passed out? Are you good? You alright??? Edit: You know what's good, being a thief in Skyrim is the best thing you can possibly do tbh. All of the characters I've ever played as have been thieves as well: stealth archers, high elf mages, etc. It's wild.
Hey from Canada, I just came across your channel looking for skyrim vids. This was a great video, and you did a great in the game. I just subscribed, and going to watch all your skyrim videos.
Drem yol lok zeymah (Greetings brother in Dovah zul or Dragon speech.) I am so excited to see you play Skyrim. I watched your reactions to LotR and Hobbit and loved them. I live pretty much permanently in Tamriel and have done so for over 11yrs now and before that. It all started many years ago with a little game called Arena and through Morrowind and Oblivion I eventually have become a citizen of Skyrim and Solstheim. This is without doubt the most amazing series of games and I have a feeling you will have just started your adventure in Skyrim. Welcome to The Elder Scrolls. I am so looking forward to this playthrough. Voth kogaan.(Many blessings.) An English subscriber. 💖🇬🇧🏴
3:24 _"What is happening? I didn't sign up for this shyt."_ That's the perfect response.🤣😂🤣 I so with my PC spoke lines of dialogue like that.🤩 Edit: You're not even in character creation yet and I had to sub already. lols 😊 Edit #2: 10:00 _"You baiting bitch."_ OMG I can barely type I'm laughing so hard .. 💙 Edit #3: 16:04 _"Sir, do you not realize I'm hitting you?"_ Important edit: If you don't know, you may have an issue with the Vagus nerve. One of my cousins and I both have an issue with it that can cause us to pass out. Usually it's during a stressful situation. When you first feel that random dizziness and sweating on the forehead, it gives you a second or two warning and as soon as that happens lie down and you probably won't pass out. If you do pass out, stay lying down for awhile and don't try to even sit up right away or you'll likely pass out again. Passing out once is not a big deal if you don't hit your head falling. Nit twice in a row is in the danger zone. That happened to me one time and they called an ambulance. If this happens, stay lying down for a couple of hours. Monitor how you feel and don't let anyone make you sit up until *you* feel ready. I don't want to scare you, but the head nurse came to listen to my lungs and insisted I had to sit up. He finally convinced me to sit up for less than a minute, and I should have refused. The real problem came when against my will he set the back of the gurney up, and that made it so I couldn't lie down after he finished then he walked out of the room with me telling him to lower the gurney down first. But did he listen? No, I was dealing with an a-hole apparently, and I passed out again for the third time and my heart stopped beating.. When I came to, he was coming at me with the defibrillator (I think it's called that; the pads the use to jump start a heart). Be your own advocate if you don't have someone else there with you. Do *not* allow them to sit you up until you're damned good and ready. Also, I haven't heard of my cousin passing out in years, and I haven't passed out in more close to 20 years, but both is us passed out numerous times (maybe 10 times total) during our 20's and 30's. But I'm no doctor and it seems to be hereditary. So it could be different for you. But the lying down part will help and may save you from an idiot. Not easy these days, but get rid of what stress you can. If you just remember to lie down immediately when you feel that, and don't let anyone boss you around, you'll be fine.
Even though I'm two months late, your comment at 15:42 about how dark it was reminded me: A Kajhiit's racial power is "cat's eyes". Under your magic, you can set your "Shout" to also use your racial and gain Night Vision for a limited time, and it cools down for a while.
This game is my all time fav. it keeps you laughing an in shock an the quest are really great. Building a charater an their satas are fun an intresting ad well. dont give up in it. dont pick up alot of random quest. take the time to finshen them. I think youll love this game but if you try to do to much itll be TOO MUCH lol
Stealth Archer is not the most OP playstyle since Anniversary Edition. (With Alchemy Stacking, it's Flame Cloak Mage) But without cheating... Army of Darkness: Conjurer / Necromancer build Aetherial Crown + 2 Dremora Lords (3rd with Sanguine Rose) + Ritual Stone (bound to Crown) It's absolutely hilarious. Takes a bit to figure out, and can be a bit tedious on Console (limited key bindings)
I always leave with Ralof , too! He , in my opinion is the best choice…☺️. after all, Hadvar was going to let you die…he didn’t have the guts to be a man!
@@MonAhgasInsomniAroELF but he has no spine…he was willing to let us die, even though we were not on the list😐🤨…and no one says we have to join either side regardless of who we leave with ☺️…I always do Season Unending during the main questline☺️😉
I'm disappointed that it still listed that you could install the anniversary edition on the home screen. XD Edit: Looting man like you? You missed everything that wasn't obvious. XD
Needs a modded feature like enemies begging for mercy on the floor, either bleeding out and killing them with an arrow to the face or sparing their lives and dropping them a healing potion for later. Or if your a male character you get bonuses for not killing women and instead shooting them with an arrow to the knee...so later you can have your sweetroll back...and take a ball and chain to the ankle...actually on second thoughts...
This guy must be playing on novice😐…note..if you would have killed Stump the dog, the whole town would have killed you. Why on earth would you even think about killing a beautiful dog…🤨
I've never seen anyone get rag dolled in Helgen. That was a first 😂
ten years later and I'm still playing this game! take your time and get ready to be immersed!
You're not alone! I'm in Blackreach right now.
Huh, what was that??!! I don't think I'm alone either.
@@eternaldarkness3139 One cannot simply stop playing Skyrim.
Hint-veteran players love to watch new players. We can shout suggestions at the screen and remember when we did all the things you are doing😂
and the modders behind their backs
As someone who has played Skyrim for a thousand hours, it always warms my heart when someone experiences this game for the first time.
It's always a great experience watching new players starting the journey.
am i have to use mod to play this game?

This game was pushed hard to be a Game of Thrones game but Bethesda kept it to their original script.
I wonder why its completely unfinished and open to interpretation.
I'm watching 3 chicks do blind playthoughs now. Curious to see how your's stacks up. Good Luck. Great Game. How do you feel about tips?

Just find out your channel and you are really entertaining to watch❤
Welcome brother, enjoy this masterpiece game it is the best game ever made, and join the stormcloaks they are the better side

make sure to play this first unmodded, then mod the hell out of the game!
