    I have the same mount. Different seller. 40 bucks. And ZERO play. I have real wilcox stuff too... im stoked on it though. I guess it's either hit or miss or QC got better.

    I slightly misspoke in the video, I picked this up from SpecWarfare for $50 - links in deception. I should also mention this J Arm does not have a power on/off function like the real one.

      I just noticed but this mum rail does not actually fit the agm mum-14a i have 2 of them and I had to custom make attachments because none of the mum14 adapters actually worked with it.

    Just curious if you have a source for info on the MUM14. RUclips and the internet seem to have such limited info I cannot find much if any in regards to what's proprietary to these units, identification of unit /parts and where a guy could source replacement parts. I have a unit lined up, just minimal info makes it a hard purchase.

    I just bought one the mum14s that is very similar to yours, it came with a bayonet mum jarm and for some reason I can't get it close enough to my eye to work properly. Did you ever have that issue?

      @@bobotea1234 no the norotos low sto with the bayonet. The j arm came with the device i was hoping to use it and save money but its a good inch and a half off my face still so its completely unusable.

    Thanks for the review it almost looks better built than a real Wilcox plastic vs aluminum. It is certainly better than a plastic USGI bayonet j arm. And I agree $200
    For a real Wilcox J arm is just ridiculous.

    Using the washers do have any issues with rotation? I just picked up a tier none replacement mini rail and their version of a jdapt plate. But I'm worrying about the rotation of the device. I plan on buying a armasight nvm soon so I'm trying to get everything I need now so I won't have to wait for anything after I get the monocular. And if I eventually plan on running duels should I go with a bridge vs j-arm. Will the jdapt plate cause bridge issues with the height variation? Any experience with this?

    • @bobotea1234
      @bobotea1234  3 года назад

      hey man sorry ive got no experience with bridging these, but i know the knights bridge (and their replicas) have adapters for mum style rails and straight up dove tails - but thats as much as i know about that sorry. As for rotation, i think that's why its important to use the spring i added since it applies tension to the screw which prevents it from coming loose under use. That being said, the arm does have like a bump in it which prevents rotation so if you screw it down tight enough - even with washer - it does not rotate in my experience.

      if your gunna bridge ive never tried this replica but it looks like it could be ok? shop.specwarfare.com/sotac-wilcox-type-bino-bridge-sm-2-mount-cnc-marking-ver-de-nvg-fast-mich
      the problem will be that no one makes replica KVC Kclips adapters for MUMs that i know of. Maybe someone 3d prints them but im not sure. though im pretty certain is that you probably need the kclip for best use not the jarm.

      @@bobotea1234 i do have that bridge im using it for my dual thermal and dual mum14s but I was thinking of going with the tier none dual pvs14 bridge with the tier none jdapt style plates for this set up because the other bridge is relatively heavy and wanted to save weight and money on this set up being a back up set up. I am just worried about the rotation aspect of it.

      @speedster-qe1nj 3 года назад +1

      @@bobotea1234 I don't have a fusion style bridge I have a separate thermal bino and mum14 bino cuz the thermalis a 1.5x magnificationand the mum is 1x, I'm looking to set up a back up night vision bridge for family and friends to use. The replica wilcox bridge is great I love it. It articulates has alot of adjustment and is a great value. The only down side is weight and size. But it was alot of work getting the devices to work how I wanted and finding all the adapters and dovetails were challenging and needed some dremel work to function properly but now its bullet proof and its going to be hard to beat. I just want smaller and lighter on this build. And thats why I'm getting the necessary adapters now instead of later

    Mun 14 vs PVS 14 ? Best

    • @bobotea1234
      @bobotea1234  2 года назад

      Both have pros and cons. Mum14 is lighter, smaller, has a finer focus, has ir illum, and some say better glass. Pvs14 on the other hand uses widely available parts, can accept standard jarms (easier to source adapters for bridging), does not use proprietary lens protectors/filters and can come in manual gain.
      I personally like the fine focus on the mum, it reminds me of my avs9. But i think if i ever picked up another one it maybe challenging to find the correct adapters to bridge it.
