I would love to have the transit but the thing that is stopping me is the roof night, if you google the transit in the USA it has a very low roof line. I wish they had it over here I’d have one straight away. So the next best option is the crafter?!?

Hi Edd , i am soo happy for you getting this job with what car-van, You see your fans/viewers have come to trust you and your no bullshit Character, If you say something is good then it;s good. Even when you were reviewing the Transit you did mention the lack of pockets for pens etc and pointed out that if you were to leave them out in the open [top of dash pockets] everyone could see them, not trying to cause any friction but if that was brewer he would most likely have glossed over that trying to earn brown [nose] points with the Manufactures but not you, STAY TRUE TO YOURSELF AND YOUR FANS Edd your going FAR best wishes SCOOBS Wales.

We have the Ford Transit here in America. I sometimes drive a Transit 250 that's either 2WD or AWD with a 3.5 Liter gas (Petrol) V6. The medium wheel base with the medium rooftop. I believe it's 9 feet in clearance.

The Transit has certainly come a long way since I owned a '97 LWB semi hitop with the 72bhp boat-anchor diesel. A glacier was faster. 😆

Informative review
Aaah, the Ford Transit. A common sight nowadays in southern Chile due to its usage by local tour operators. Stop by the Petrohue River Waterfalls in the middle not the summer season and you’re bound to find at least 5 to 7 parked nearby in between older Sprinters, Boxers and Hyundai’s H1

I have been trying to have one of these (a 2021 year model), delivered to me in Australia having put the deposit down in April. The delivery date was going to be August then it was going to be Oct now it is February next year 2022. I have decided to opt for something else. Something that is already here in the country...... an LDV deliver 9 LWB high roof in pacific blue, for about $15,000 less than the equivalent Transit.

Those headlights look great. Wish we could have a manual version in North America.
With the 3.5 twin turbo v6 and a limited slip you don’t put a hammer in that shelf over your head. My wife is not too fond of that stuff up there hitting her in the face.

have they updated the design flaw - the one where it was so simple to break into it and disable the alarm/immobiliser at the same time it was so easy to drive it away insurance companies where not even giving quotes or cover to a lot of users or in certain parts of the UK?
No probably not lol
immobilisers are vastly improved over the 1990s models yes.

where is the speed sensor located on the 6sp RWD transmission on Ford Transit LWB 2012 T155 2.2L?
Van goes into limp mode at 40mph with TCS dash light flashing. Diagnosed as wiring/faulty VSS, because (when goes into limp mode) all 4 wheel speed sensors report speed but VSS reports no data (0 mph).

I'm sceptical on the mpg claims,my 69 plate 16 seat minibus only manages 28mpg at best,averages 22mpg even when empty

I mean if it gets loaded up with boxes it seems like a light breeze would knock it over

Please upload a 10sec video of ed keeping the phone in the holder on the door and simultaneously closing the door without picking it up first. Can you do that BTW? Anyone?
thats why there was a sticker on the door which was mentioned in the video saying its NOT for your phone!
With vans like this going around, it's hard to imagine why people still buy the antiquated renault master. The new one can't come soon enough.
The whole concept of Renault Master ownership is that you should drive an old beaten up Renault Master with a worn out gearbox that feels like you're stirring a stew with a spoon.

Very entertaining review Edd although i was rather hoping you were going to stick some windows in it and turn it into a butcher's van. Any truth in the rumour of a new series of Minder with Mike Brewer starring as Arthur Daley. Top tip get a decent hair cut.
HEADS UP...3:56 to 4:03.. that great "non cellphone pocket" has people putting their phones in it..even though its not for a phone. look at the paper folding in it when the door is closed ..crunch!
Surprised at your comment that you think the Mercedes is quieter (and smoother)as we build camper-vans in both the Transit and Mercedes and we find the Transit always smoother and quieter before any work started on them!
Great to see Edd back. But it seems tool thieves love the modern transits.
tool thieves love ALL vans. its just that generally Transits work harder than many vans, used more by trades than parcel couriers so more likely to have tools in them
That Transit would be a perfect camper conversion, much better option than renting a room

as an ex White van man it's not just load, drive we always had some breaks lunch or shelter from English weather so putting food etc down was useful
Waiting for when you swap the engine out for a Mustang 4.6 V8, put lower springs on it, uprated shockers and a set of alloys.
the 4.6 isnt available in the UK. 2.3 Ecoboost or 5.0 Coyote only in the UK

Funny cause it’s taken the last 20 years for us to get an auto option on the transit
@@Stop..carry-on transit has had option of auto for YEARS. even the Smiley transit (and possibly earlier) had the option BUT nobody really wanted them!

How’s the engine seizing issue?
Errr biggest question of all has not been addressed. Is the chassis and body panels been galvanized or is it going to rust away in 10years time.
all vans rust away faster than cars. its because they try to keep the cost of manufacture down. but having rust treatment like waxoyl carried out periodically costs very little.
The only problem Ed is you will at some stage of ownership come into contact with Ford after sales customer services which are without doubt the worst I have ever had the misfortune to encounter, I would avoid them at the moment until they sort this out. PS always a good idea to store an hammer directly above your head wouldn't you say. also get rid of the locking wheel nuts if you buy one they really are shit and will cause you no end of trouble, you don't look very comfortable in that Ed by the way.
Good vans you just got to be careful people nicking them. They are the number one in most areas for vehicles stolen.

What’s the difference between the chassis cab and the crew cab variance?
crew cab is a pre built vehicle with rear body on. chassis cab you buy the cab and chassis (in whatever size/cab type you choose) and add a body aftermarket. ideal for camper vans, horse boxes, recovery trucks (subject to weight limits) etc.
