Mod combinations for caves: Yung's Better Caves Quark + Oddities Extended Caves Large Ore Deposits Ore Stone Variants It's a combination I like as it makes caves more interesting. Of course, when 1.18 drops Yung's Better Caves won't be needed. So hopefully the other mods will be updated to 1.18.
Something important to note: If you're using a performance enhancing mod like performant, Spiders 2.0 can break as the performance mods change and cull "unnecessary A.I." that Spiders 2.0 relies on. They're working on a fix.
Personal tip: use Spartan weaponry mod and the compatibility patch it has with epic fight mod, and use shoulder surfing reloaded instead of better third person since the dodge roll from epic fight mod and better third person don't get along very well.
@@sirondium I did use shoulder surfing and I had the idea of using spartan weaponry, I didn't know there was a combatibility patch thought, thanks for letting me know
One mod I really liked from back in the day was "Random Mobs", which gave each mob a selection of different skins they could randomly pick from when they spawned. There also used to be a feature in Minecraft a long time ago where your camera would rock in a different direction when you get hurt, depending on which direction the damage came from (relative to the camera.)
For the "Amazing world gen" mod, I would also recommend installing distant horizons mod. It adds a lot more distance to your sight by adding "low resolution chunks", which means you will be able to keep most of your performance while also having a long range of vision.
Just don't mix Spiders 2.0 with Epic Fight, they don't work together, which is a bit saddening, but Epic Fight's Spiders are good too, so I don't complain ;)
I'd recommend checking out the mod The Scourge ascending. It's super underrated, but it's very creative. It's kind of like Terraria, if you've ever played that.
I think one mod combination that works really well is the epic fight mod with more dungeon mods, and ice and fire works pretty well with the epic fight mod. Your character and all the vanilla minecraft mobs now really fit in with the amazing animations of the modded mobs.
I started getting back into Minecraft very recently. These showcases have been super helpful for finding interesting mods. It's a nice way to enhance the exploration aspect of the game. I always enjoyed that much more than building.
A really underrated mod is the figura mod, it allows for fully 3d modeled and animated skins that even work on vanilla servers because they use the player ID system to load their skins on the client side
I like to use Xero's minimap and Waystones together. It makes travelling fun because it fills out the maps, the waystones let you save your progress, and marking each one on the map lets you choose where to explore. It lets me get the most out of each unique terrain generation.
One of my favourite and simple combinations is Easier Elytra Takeoff & Infinite Firework. Makes using modded Elytra so much easier and cuts down on Firework necessities
6:14 this makes me wonder about how the new simulation distance slider in minecraft will affect newer versions of optifine. Will it allow them to go ever crazier with the render distance pushing us in the region of Daggerfall Unity 's draw distance?
There needs to be a mod where you can set another player's spawn (if there's not already). It could be done with an item that identifies the target player who is holding the partnered item. Then you could combo travel like one have the spider abilities and one have the elytrian abilities so one can climb a mountain then set the other's spawn, the other can fly and set the spider guy's spawn. Things like that would be fun for teamwork.
If you want absolutely great mods for 1.16.5 on their own: *- Epic fight mod* Gives you skill based fighting with dodging, rolling, parrying and better animated attacks! Makes also all attacks from mobs fully animated and actually dodgeable. (Can also configure for other mod mobs). And gives enemies a little red health bar over their head. *- Mana and Artifice mod* A great magic mod with super cool animations and fully configurable spells and rituals! It's like Ars magical 2 just for 1.16.5 *- Ice and Fire mod* Adds Dragons, Giants and much more crazy fantasy mobs! Also tamable and rideable dragons! Also add "Mowies Mobs Mod"
5:55 yeah, surprisingly, it did make me motion sick. I think it's because of combination of camera tilt, first-third person mode, bigger fov and just the way specifically you move the camera up and down.
Could you please make at the end of the video the test with all the mods combined that you was doing before ? I really liked it and it would be great if you continue to do it !
while it's more of a texture pack, shader, and mod combo, the brixel texture pack + seus ptgi shaders + physics mod make a very immersive lego experience :)
What a coincidence! I was planning on starting an SMP with my friends once 1.18 comes out, and I was planning on using the Origins and PlayerEx mod! Cool that he thought of that combination too
damn he never stops me from saving every video he uploads so i remmember to download mods from his videos extremely consistent youtuber since im very picky with the mods i choose and i always see at least 1 mod i want to add gj AHS
I love this channel and it's probably the best mod review channel I've seen. I like the way you break up your videos. I feel like you sell these mods better than people who review one mod at a time. It's awesome.
Spiders 2.0 ( in 1.12.2 at least), make no-AI skeletons appear everywhere. They just stand there, can't be killed by sunlight or lava, only by one-shot strikes and explosions.
Consider checking out the new mod called Tomes, it's fresh and relatively unknown about right now, and even if it doesn't show up in a vid I still recommend having a look-see.
Alex's mobs and ice and fire bring some seriously hilarious results. I would see death worms absolutely getting wrecked by road runners or a duo of crocodile ganging up on the all so powerful sea serpents
A combination I like playing with: immersive portals and betternether, with iris shaders (possibly also betterend and an overworld terrain mod to complete the world gen overhaul)
One is pretty niche but Minestuck has a unique inventory/storage system and it pairs surprisingly well with Carryon as you can store multiple tile entities and entities
The better animations, better combat, village, and dungeon combos put together basically make Minecraft into a 3D block-based RPG. I cant wait to get Java to get these mods installed!
Yo dude, a mod that I’d recommend is a little magic mod called “Spelled”, it makes it so that you have to type out key phrases in strings of text to make the spell occur
That sounds really, really tedious to have to retype something over and over while in combat, very interesting thou. Maybe if when you were using the spell you could see it being typed in the chat that would be pretty "pog" as they call it
@@doctorrogue1923 The thing is, you can use the up arrow on your keyboard to go to the last message you typed, so you can use that last spell (Lets be honest, you're only going to be using the explosion one) again and again But yes, if you need to do another spell it gets a bit tedious, however its not very hard to type it fast
Please look into “illuminations” and “not enough animations”, they’re very simple but Illuminations adds a lot of nice ambience and life to the game by just displaying a few particles here and there and not enough animations is great for multiplayer or even single player for when you occasionally go into third person and it would pair amazingly with the better eating animation mod.
Seeing the third-person overhaul you showed off, it got me wondering: What mods work best together to completely upgrade Minecraft as a third-person game? It would be interesting to see a complete and comfortable playthrough entirely in third-person, and while the melee combat and 360 movement is a good start, you'd probably want other features in modern third-person games like camera lock-on if you were to play entirely in third-person mode. Are there any such mods that add features like that? I'd love to see Minecraft as a modern third-person Action-RPG, especially if it can be versatile enough to add to progression-based mod-packs for a "story".
pain that feudal weaponry isnt listed thats super great for the epic fight mod + anything related with farmer's delight its such a great mod; not a ton of new farming crops but enough to add variety, plus the wide array of recipes makes nothing get too old, but still isnt too daunting to tackle.

The best Thing is that you can combine this all I think having the better Combat Unique First person more Biomes and more Dungeon that will be the best Mod for Exploring
Mod combinations for caves:
Yung's Better Caves
Quark + Oddities
Extended Caves
Large Ore Deposits
Ore Stone Variants
It's a combination I like as it makes caves more interesting. Of course, when 1.18 drops Yung's Better Caves won't be needed. So hopefully the other mods will be updated to 1.18.
I use just about all those as well plus subterranean waters....of course that's all because of Pixelmon Reforged, I wanted nicer better looking caves
The caves and cliffs mod too
yung's better mineshafts would also be a great addition
If they dont then u can just use 1.17 with yungs
Nah, Yung’s caves still has unique caves so it will likely still have a use in 1.18.
I just love when there is always random chaos happening in the intro.
