Can you elaborate on how you think these compare with the Fives? Specially, why you put the Fives much higher on the leaderboards? Just the bass, or you like how the Fives look? Is their sound quality (imaging, etc) similar? Ease of placement?
If you watch both videos, you can tell that I am extremely impressed with the performance of The Fives and that continues. Watch that then come to your own conclusion as to which would be better for you.
The elera's is not intended for heavy bass listing, just a simple quick read through on the page also reveal that, but what you do get is the triangle house sound, like a really nice super foamy latte, not everyone wants that but damm does it make music enjoyable. My point being leader boards for speakers are stupid, because everyone has different taste, just like saying "oh this is the best food, because it to me tastes super good and Mmmhmm that spicy taste is just me" where others might dispise spicy food. Just hope people don't buy speakers after leader boards because they saw someone make a list from their own taste.
Fresh off a Z review I see, even using the same metaphors. Bringing up the lack of bass and features at this price point are valid points since people will be directly comparing them to the Fives, Edifiers, Vanatoos, Kantos, and other powered speakers that could act as a sound bar replacements. Most people don't know what a brand's house sound is or don't care, especially for Triangle who is not widely known in the states. It should be obvious that any leaderboard anyone creates is going to be based on their own preference. It's more of a quick reference tool to understand how different speakers relate in that person's opinion so they don't have to do a direct comparison to every speaker on the list. If people want to be lazy and not watch/read reviews (not just Joe's), then they deal with the consequences.
Good to see Hater Jay! Love that guy. Great thorough review Joe. I'm not sure I'm feeling the bronze ring around the tweeter but do love the style of the woofer. Classy speaker.
Is there any way to disable the automatic turning off after 30 minutes ? This is makes dependence on the annoying remote.. hope they're is a solution beacuse it is the only problem im having with those speakers.. Thanks
I'm going to buy this model for use on a PC, on my desk. I understand correctly that after 30 minutes of inactivity, the speakers go into standby mode and to wake them up you need...what exactly needs to be done? 🤔
Thanks for the review. No distributor here so I won't be able to test them if I were to go with them... when you say the hiss is perfectly fine at medium volumes, was there any hiss coming out of them? I might be a little sensitive to hiss and just disposed of a pair of KEF EGGs because of hiss at low volumes... Thanks!
having the volume knob on the back is major downside to them. i wanna use them as pc speakers backed up to a wall. this means eighter using the remote, even tho the speakers are in gripping range or use the remote, for somethign that is i gripping range but hard to reach, since its in the back against a wall
greetings sir can i ask some questions i have a powered speakers ( edifier 1280db ) and i want to connect it on a headphone amp/dac ( smsl 759ii ) it is okay to connect on it? coz im a little bit confused about it because my speaker has a built in amp on it maybe it will be damage my speakers thanks for your help
This is certainly not expensive for an premium pair of active/powered speakers. I'm wondering if the performance is near that of the Triangle Bro 2 or Bro 3's ? You have to factor the cost of an amp you would use to power those so the price could actually be a bargain. There are the Swan M3As, Focal has a few sets, Dynaudio, Salk, and Buchardt all have premium actives priced above these. I think this is priced just under the Klipsch Fives.
I have some $399 powered speakers that people seem to prefer in the sound demos too. I do as well in most cases. The overall performance of the BR03 is better. I wish they would've just powered that model. I don't think this is a very expensive/advanced plate amp. No DSP implementation and cheap remote. So yes, they're less expensive than some KEF LS50W's or ELAC Navis ARB-51's, but these still aren't my favorite in their price category. I just have to call it like I see it. These are currently priced higher than The Fives unless you factor in the promo code for $200 off.
@@joentell Don't think the meta does since it's passive only the wireless 2 that's powered. Believe they are both the same speaker from a sound quality standpoint.
Oh got you. I haven't paid much attention to KEF since I still have yet to review one of their products. I don't want to tease myself. 😂 I've reached out to them previously and haven't heard a response. I would love to check out their stuff if they're interested.
WHen you made your tests with your mic setup, actually recording the sound of the speakers playing something.. I really miss that as it helped me greatly at the time in deciding my next pair of speakers, and now i have a much acoustically different place, and I'm on the prowl again .. But you stopped recording the speakers, so short of numbers i've no reference now.. ;(
Ok, you're right. Checked the lists and pretty much in all they are above the YU6 but below the TUK's. I guess that explains it. I have to say, I'm in europe and here the prices are much cheaper for the triangles so it probably gives a different perspective about them once the price is cheaper. I own a pair and the built quality is really satisfying. High WAF, by the way.
@@joentell in Spain it is 599€ in high street and 499€ for the special edition (blue and purple) on amazon , thats about 700 USD and 585 USD respectively. The MSRP acording to Triangle on their website is also 499€. And in french amazon it is 399€, that´s under 500 USD.
Love the dual character reviews but you should go a bit further. Sunglases are good but give him an accent(Stallone or Arnold) and use the f word and bang your desk with your fist. Time to go over the top with this guy.

Fresh Hater Jay keeping it real. No shills on this channel!
Got mine for 349 EUR, with standard price being 449 EUR tax included, so they are overpriced in US
Hi , I’ve recently got these, can you please suggest a good sub woofer for these
Finally did you choose one? I'm wondering too ;)
With a Sub this is the best powered speaker I’ve heard.
Fresh Hater Jay is far too polite.
He was polite this time because it hating on some of the cons on this was TOO easy. 😂

Hi. How do they compare to the jamo s 801 pm?
Are they better sounding or cheaper than the Dana dyi 2.1 build that need some mods. Watching this I wouldn't buy them thank for the review
I like my DINAS more
Well consider checking out other RUclips reviews and maybe a sound demo or something before making final decisions :)

How do LN01As compare to Kanto YU6s?
What competing speaker has the HDMI input? I can’t seem to remember from other videos.

Correct. The Fives. I've reviewed those also.
