Thankyou for the video and recipe including the Shahi Garam Masala -quite a different masala to ones i've made in the past. The Bhuna looks and sounds delectable !
Looking forward to this, I'm a proper master chef in the making now Bumbi! I only discovered you a few weeks ago and have made your Lamb Rogan Josh dish 3 times now. Its fantastic. My friends also love it. I have 2 more servings in my freezer thanks to you. Your lovely soothing voice is perfect. I had barely chopped an Onion before finding this channel, many thanks. I will be making this dish soon. Lamb is delicious and also my favourite.
I have watched many many videos on youtube on making curries and have lots of success's but this is my go to channel and Bumbi, i love your voice, it's so comforting, i listen to you, follow everything you do and i'm so relaxed and every meal i have made has been wonderful, truly delicious. We are on a very tight budget at the moment so can't afford meat right now but as soon as i have the money i will make this dish. You really have taken the mystery out of home cooked curries and i am so thankful to you for that. Dennis and Monty, North London.
Bhuna, I have learned so much from you! Curry and india cooking I was very inexperienced with. I am getting better and LOVE all the spices!! Thank you!!!
bumbi I have commented on different recipes I have tried all absolutely beautiful this looks amazing im off to my local spice shop to purchase some mutton really looks amazing when I have cooked it I will let you know how it was but I have never been dissapointed with any of your recipes thankyou their are lots of people to follow but you are my main one I don't bother really with other channels big hugs thankyou again
Another winning recipe. Lamb bhuna for dinner tomorrow. Yum! Edit: Made this for dinner along with gobi matar and jeera rice. The lamb bhuna is fabulous. My dinner guest wants to be invited back whenever I cook this again!
It is breakfast time here in the UK and already I am wishing it was evening so I can have a portion of Bumbi's delicious mutton bhuna curry - it looks scrumptious. Thank you for this recipe❤❤
Wow very nice recipe Mam,will definitely try. The tip that you have shared to marinate the mutton with yogurt and store it in the frizer is very useful. Thank you.
Thank you Bumbi❤ for sharing your recipe mutton bhuna masala. Sure I will cook this too. Like your chicken biryani recipe I cooked and my family love it😘
I'm a Filipino. Before I'm in UAE I worked there and most of my co-employee and friends is Indian and I love to eat indian foods because tasty and yummy😋. And you cook very well👍🥰
Dear Bumbi, I hate chopping up onions more than my having to stir them in the pot till they brown lol. I LOVE the gamey smell of mutton but I do marinate them in yogurt to soften the meat for a couple of hours before cooking. My secret to tender mutton without pressure cooker is to use a slow cooker. So I'll throw everything into the pot and turn on the slow cooker just before bed. In the morning after waking, the curry will be done, and I simply have to panfry frozen naan or paratha with garlic butter and I have the perfect little curry breakfast!
Hi Bumbi.. Hope you are well. Do you use full pressure throughout the 30 mins when cooking the meat in the pressure cooker? Or lower the fire after the first whistle? Thank you. Nice video
After closing the lid of the cooker put it on high heat till the cooker comes up to full pressure. Once full pressure is attained lower heat to low and then set a timer for 30 mins. After 30 mins switch off heat and let all the pressure come down naturally after that open lid of cooker
What cut of lamb do you use for this, Bumbi? Also, I've some garam masala made to your recipe - would I be missing a lot if I used that instead of the shahi masala?
I usually tell the meat shop to make curry cut pieces but you can use shoulder and front leg portions. You can also use that garam masala instead of shahi.
May I ask what might be a stupid question, but what do you think about the pre-made garlic paste and ginger paste that come in tubes or jars? I've never used them, but I figure that I have no problem using a lot of tomato puree from tubes, so wondered if the garlic and ginger pastes were equally good.
You can definitely use them. I somehow do not like them. Probably they have some kind of additives that makes them smell not right and I feel it sometimes makes a curry smell different than the one I am used to, but I am a very picky person regarding all this. So it maybe all in my mind. You can go ahead and use them or maybe use them on days when you don’t want to do that extra step of making a ginger garlic paste.
@@CurriesWithBumbi Thank you for your swift reply, Bumbi, I appreciate it. I haven't used them, but I did smell a garlic paste from a jar once and wasn't impressed, but it might have tasted ok. I need to buy one of those small blenders you use - I only have a large food processor which would do, I think, but seems like overkill, especially when it comes to washing up 😳
@mykelevangelista6492 when washing any blender or food processor, just add a little water and tiny drop of dishwashing liquid and whiz it just for a second. Washing will be a breeze in this way.
@@CurriesWithBumbi just finished bhunna chicken and popped into town to get yogurt cos i forgot to make some. Naans are done on fire and my neighbor will be happy. He likes my indian
