I have owned a 2014 Chrysler 300 base model since I purchased it new three years ago. I have a few comments that I hope will be useful for anyone considering purchasing a new or used 300.
First off; I LOVE my car. It's granite, gray with a completely black leather interior. I had my windows tinted soon after buying it, and have done nothing else. The car looks badass, classy and a little "hood" all at once. I am proud of it, no denying. I love driving it and being seen in it, and I receive a lot of positive compliments from people.
For a base model, it is loaded with optional and luxury equipment. I won't go into details here, as the info is readily available all over the web. But the panoramic sunroof, AWD, comfortable (but definitely NOT squishy) ride, extremely quiet interior and kick-ass sound system are but a few of the amenities that make the 300 my "dream" car. The metallic gray granite paint looks amazing when waxed and buffed and the factory aluminum alloy wheels are just right for my personal taste.
I drove my mid-life crisis Nissan 350Z until it was shot, then saved the BEST vehicle on my bucket list for last. At my age (mid 50's) the 300 is everything I have always wanted and then some! I pray that Fiat/Chrysler Corp continues to refine and build this modern American classic for years to come. Americans deserve to have the choice of a large, rear WD sport luxury sedan over the litany of boring and very expensive imports that all manage to look alike.
Additionally, my 300 is equipped with three driver's seat airbags and two passenger air bags. I hope they are never needed, but it's a comfort to know that safety is engineered right into a mid-priced sport/luxury priced car. I feel very protected and safe while in either of the front seats, and spoiled and comfortable while being chauffeured around in the back seat. The amount of legroom and space in the rear seats is incredible.
I hope that my review and personal opinion helps anyone who is close to purchasing a Chrysler 300. If you have the scratch $$ - Do It! If you buy one that is used, make sure that it has low enough miles so that you can get the most out of your cool new ride for years to come. I'd recommend a 2015 and on, just because it has a much improved information center over the 2014 and older. Contrary to rumors and bad info, you cannot upgrade the software to add a NAV system - it either comes with it from the factory or it does not. But one way or another, you are buying a well-designed and built Detroit luxury auto that will haul you or your Family around for years to come. Thank you for reading, and please correct anything that I misquoted. I'll appreciate it.
Thanks for watching and your feedback :)
I've got 2013,best car I've ever owned im 57 an have owned alot of luxury cars, lincoln, Lexus, Cadillac, non compares to my 300 lm in love!!,😆
just bought one today myself and I agree with your statement.
Just bought a 2014 300S -just stretched her legs with a long drive-mpg between 30.7-31.2 mpg-not bad, not bad at all.
This is a helluva Car ! So underrated. It basically has the suspension and other parts of the Mercedes E class and a transmission that is on alot of Luxury Cars, including AUDI and Mercedes. For the Price and Value , this car cant be beat
I just rented this car last week for a day. Loved it. Great ride. I'm 6'1" and had no problem getting in and out of it - that is not true of my dad's Taurus. If I knew that it was going to be the car I was getting I would have watched this video first and learned more about the features. For instance I had no idea about the radio controls behind the steering wheel.
GOOD job Mike, Great car with all the options the working man needs. Chrysler is currently providing great cars to the American public, This 2nd generation Chrysler 300 series is clearly King of the American Road, standard of the world. 5/5
great review, i know what my first car is gonna be now
Thank you for the review. Does it have a backup camera maybe you mentioned that I may have just missed it. And would you still recommend full synthetic on a 3.6L I used to own a v8 2008 and only used full synthetic but idk if im completely sold on it yet lol
I just bought a 14' 300 S V6 AWD as I wanted something to get thru snow with as my Impala didn't do well in the snow.its a boat but I love it. Love how it stays on RWD until it senses that you need the AWD. The Dr Dre beats audio system sounds amazing.
How much was it? Im been thinking about getting one
Interesting, thanks for the clarification.
Jebus.. look at that Sunroof... What a beauty this thing is.
I’m buying one of these for my first car as these are my dream car and like kinda nervous for the keyless entry and push to start 😭 literally gave my mother my license card so I don’t lose it
My car this week :p
Beautiful Car...I'm gonna trade my truck in for one soon
3.6 Litter, not 5.7 HEMI.
The little "hole" in the center of the overhead console is an led spot light that illiminates the center console when the headlights are on. It is not the interior ambient temperature sensor. Because the auto temp system is dual zone and humidity controlled the sensors are buried somewhere in the air handling system under the hood. I have seen several internet blogs that refer to the little hole as the ambient temperature sensor. Hold your hand under the hole in the overhead console at night and you can see the little square of light it puts out. The light dims and brightens with the ambient light in the front foot wells.
Thank you for the correction :)

Lou Yes it’s a reliable car as long as it’s not a 2.7 V6. Stay far away from the 2.7 V6 made by Chrysler.
Hi, great vid. What is the difference between the D and L drive setting?

This is my dream car. I want to purchase a used 2014 or 2015 chrysler(white color) 300 this year. but all the 300 base i've seen so far online have no sunroof, seems impossible to find.
mine is the base but not if that makes sense i have a 2016 anniversary edition so i have the panoramic roof garage opener nav back up camera i love my 300
Cool cat
I have a 2014 300 and I love it! However, I would rather have the panoramic sunroof over navigation amyday since we have our phones for the navigation
My friend said all american cars suck and tend to break down but this sure looks good.
*****
nah imean he ment they are badly built.
*****
Good to know, he said ford are one of the worst ones but i love ford and i live in uk, he said uk fords are built to better standard but i dont really know....
hi , could you tell me how to add navigation
to this car ? , i really wish to add it to my car , i have same this car exactly
You gotta go go your local Chrysler dealer and have them update and program your uconnect system.
sunroof comes standard in chrysler 300? or only in full option?
Adil Shaikh only in full option I know I own one
Good informative video Mike. I knew most of the material as I have a 300 identical to this one, the only exception being that mine is the deep red pearl in color, I do have a question on the navigation. When I bought my car, the salesman first said that the gps could be added as all it requires is an update or addition to the software. After talking to the manager, he then came back and said that gps couldn't be added. I wasn't all that concerned as I use google maps on my phone, but I am wondering if he was correct or not? Can you set me straight on this? Thanks
classrockin If you still have the original window sticker look for the UConnect 8.4 system and see if it says "Nav Ready". If it does then the dealer can add Nav. You can also give your VIN number to the parts department at the Chrysler dealer and they can look it up. 2015 and newer models can all be upgraded.
MikesCarInfo Hey, thanks a lot. I do have the window sticker along with my paperwork for the car, so i'll check that out. Thanks !
Opinions on this car for first car!? Need the realibilty for college and work? Do you guys recommend it? Only 18
Basethagod Don’t buy one with the 2.7 V6. Stick to the 3.5 or 3.6 V6 if you want a V6 300, Charger, or Challenger. I would get the 3.6.
My dad has this car but some of the inside has wooden design. I like the interior of this car better.
If it has a V6-it doesn’t have a hemi
2015 challenger intro , VIDEO RELEASED IN 2013!!!
What gas do you use 87 or 89??
87 or 85
that is plastic wood. the 300 only comes with real wood when optioned to the "C" specificaton
Hot? its 77.....could have just rolled down the window, review was great until I heard the noise of A/C
sorry I overstepped my boundaries, thanks for the review
Transmission just like a Rolls Royce...Can't be bad.....
I own a 2014 300, and 31 MPG? Nah, bruh. I'm happy if I get 24 MPG - and I'm a highway driver.
I have the 2011 and it has the same features. ..
my car
Walter White urs is a 2012 tho
سياره قويه ولكن سعرها بالعراق مرتفع جدآ صديقي يملك نفسها اشتراها 20الف دولار... شدتين
That has the v6 only the 300 has the 5.7
Colwin Kent ur talking about the 300c
It clearly says it’s a v6 on the paper work just an 8 speed trans 😂
Read the title of the video.
@@MikesCarInfo Fuck the title that’s what you said in the video just delete it you lied you clearly said this v8
When it first arrived I thought it was the V8 but it was the v6. I added v6 to the title of the video to make everyone aware.
5.7 or 3.6
The 5.7 liter Hemi is amazing engine if you want performance get this engine if you want fuel efficiency with average performance get the 3.6 liter V6.
31mpg? Prove it.
heres the car the chrysler is mocking
Poor mans Bentley
Lord this guy has no clue
Try this one: ruclips.net/video/yJERV-whI8M/видео.html
Car
hm $$
😂😂😂 Definitely not a hemi with 140 on the dash
When it first arrived I thought it was the V8 but it was the v6. I added v6 to the title of the video to make everyone aware.
@@MikesCarInfo my bad gang let me lay off you it’s all goo they still nice too 🏆💪🏾💯
I only get 13 mpg on my car
Something is wrong with it.
MikesCarInfo any suggestions to what it might be ?
@@anthonymorales1178 I don't know. But if it is a V6 with the 8 speed trans then you should be getting mid 20s on average. I would take it to a dealer and have them check the computer. It may just need a system update.
31 mpg bullshizzle...
RAM 1500 MPG on Highway V6 8 Speed Trans Test Drive
He said it was a 5.7 hemi which it is not. Its a 3.6l v6 with 8 speed transmission. It cruises at 65 at like 1200 rpms. Gas mileage is amazing.
Haha damn i know i seen a car that chrysler is mocking.......o ya the rolls royce.......this just a cheap version of a rolls royce so chyrsler can make money......
