wireguard didn’t work for me on my Firestick 3rd gen. Got a error, “Connection error: the current server is unavailable, try another location or different protocol:” IPVANISH only works with Openvpn or ikev2, but not wireguard??
I don't set my to start up automatically. Netflix doesn't like it and BBC iplayer wont work with it. So therefore I put it on manually when I need it. Wire guard is not the fastest for me. I am on android box but I stay with my friend often. She has firestick. Wire guard isn't fastest on hers either. I tend to connect IP Vanish check the speed if I don't like it I switch protocol and check again. Sometimes I reconnect to the same location and it gives me better speed.
In that case, you can set it to start automatically but just enable the apps you do not want filtering through the vpn under split tunnelling :) that way you don’t have to keep turning your vpn on or off. It seems openvpn is the best at the minute. There is clearly a bud because the speed difference on Wireguard should be very significant! I’ve shared it with them on twitter too.

I'm having problems too with the newer app, seems the older version worked better, I can only use it with wiregard on.Also it does not want to auto connect
hi lee just signed up for ipvanish and cant get Netflix and prime on my fire stick.its upgraded one.we recently been blocked from extra channels?so do I just disconnect the vpn?
Yes some vpns don’t work with Netflix or prime. If you want to unblock them apps check my video on StreamLocator bud but at the minute no vpns work with Netflix after their global block

As soon as I saw your mention the new WireGuard protocol call I tried it and it wouldn't work?
It works but for some reason on Firestick its slower. Make sure you update the settings. Try clearing cache too or try another server :)
