  • Angle grinders come in handy in the workshop, they can be used for cutting, brushing , polishing and more.
    This grinder is attached to a holder which makes it easy to use and control.
    You can also set the height of the grinder for the piece you are working with or to get the desired action of the wire wheel. The grinder on the base helps to control the polishing action.

    Mr. Houweling, I've been subscribed for some time and enjoy your videos.
    I can see you have some issues with your hands. I do too, though mine are better than yours - so far. You inspire me to continue with my efforts to find ways to keep creating the art that I make.
    Thanks for sharing your affordable shop tool builds too. They're very useful.

    I very much enjoy watching your videos. Your ideas and projects are great. You never seem to run out of clever approaches for solving designs and production issues. My only regret is that you don't produce more of these.

    Thinking about it, being able to give the "pressure" and "stability" away to a tool, this is quite handy.
    Always get nervous holding a grinder to an object that may need workholding, or strapping the grinder down and feeding into it with the risk of it pulling ME in :p

    Good idea Jack, but you really need to feed the work in against the direction of rotation to avoid the wheel grabbing the work and tearing it out of your hands. Wire wheels are notorious for that!.

    • @Jacka440
      @Jacka440  5 лет назад +1

      I have been doing this for years and found this way works best for me.

    • @Simsy5861

      If it works OK for you Jack, that's fine. But it's not safe and you shouldn't be seen to recommend it to other people who may not know of the dangers.

    Good idea, but I would use it from the guarded side of the grinder, not with the open disc in your face.

    Although iCan’t think of anything worse (unsafe) to drill into using a drill press, WITHOUT clamping it down, than a sheet of metal, iStill like the concept design & rest of the video. Depending on how far of a clearance between the holder base and the arbor, if one wanted to, a fence could be added there, and using a cutting wheel, use this to make nice straight cuts in some metal stock as well... iThink. Anyways, thanks for sharing yet another creative & inspiring build! Mele Kalikimaka e Hauoli Makahiki Hou! Aloha😊
