Heck Joker was in the first Chris Nolan movie at the trial(he wasn't named Joker but Joe Jack Chill he introduced himself as)
by the way Boss Maloni was played the famous "Eric Roberts" who is the brother to Julia Roberts(Maloni was the one who poured acid on Harvey Dents face during a trial in the Val Kilmer Batman movie..and Batman tried to save him during the whole event cause he was a witness and got "Cipened" however you spell that legal terminology ..

Bane doesn’t get enough credit as a Batman villain, I love every moment that he’s on screen
I think the fact that bane's lines became a decent sized meme since the initial release shows that there is great appreciation for the character

Bro, I'm so glad to see other people appreciate this trilogy as much as I do. The themes, setpieces, score, performances, everything about these are a masterpiece. I highly second your Christopher Nolan journey, because he's easily one of the greatest all-time directors. The Prestige, Memento, and Inception are some of my other favorites, if you haven't seen them.
It's a crime that he didn't get to see Robin develop too. Joseph is a great actor.
The Prestige and Memento are two of Nolan's best movies. MUST WATCH THESE!!!!

Blake doesn't "become Robin", he becomes Batman, the idea is Bruce passes on the mantle (and the cave) to Blake to take over.
The studio wanted to put Robin in the movie but Christopher Nolan refused, he was adamant not to include a sidekick. But the plan was always to end it with the role being passed on (remember in the first movie, Bruce talks about anyone can be a symbol). Nolan's compromise was to make Blake's middle name "Robin".
Too bad Blake died his first night out as Batman
And throughout this movie he teaches Blake how to do what Batman does before finally bequeathing him the Cave and tech.
Every single time I watch this movie it leaves me wanting a Nightwing movie with JGL! Every time! He would make such a great Nightwing!

This trilogy was absolutely phenomenal! The three villains Scarecrow, Joker/Two Face, & Bane was such an amazing adaptation of Batman. Easily the best Batman movies. Take care Homie✌🏼

As a Pittsburgh girl, I got to go to the filming at the stadium. It was so hot. They filmed snow scenes in August! If you look close - we didn’t have our coats on. They also gave out prizes and I won an iPad from Tom Hardy. So cool. This movie will always have a place in my heart.
Inception, The Prestige, and Memento are all excellent Nolan films! I haven't seen all of Tenet, and I know some people have said it's confusing and convoluted, but then again, people say that about all of Nolan's films- but you have to pay attention and participate in the film- so it's up to you, of course. As for Tarantino, you got Jackie Brown, Reservoir Dogs, both Kill Bills, Inglorious Basterds, and Once upon a Time in Hollywood (which is probably his most mature film, and you can tell how much of what he learned over the years got incorporated into that one. So those two directors plus MCU plus whatever else you already have planned.... A treasure trove of pure cinematic gold on the horizon, Major! Look forward to seeing everything yet to come :)
The next quintessential Christopher Nolan film would be Inception.

The MAJOR (see what I did there?) difference between these films and the rest of the Batman movies and cartoons, is that Nolan brought Batman to life. Like real life. Brought him into reality, whereas normally you would see a fantasy/superhero movie or show. With powers and outrageous scenese (that are still enjoyable), but clearly a fantasy world. I loved this trilogy because Nolan made it real. This could absolutely happen in our world and Nolan nailed it!

Maaaannn!!! My Best Friend and I flew up to Pittsburgh to be extras at the Heinz Field stadium in this movie... So fun! They actually had the pyrotechics on the field... While resetting between takes they brought out the Tumbler with the Cannon to let it fire off a few very loud rounds for the crowd... One of those Really good kinda days!
Christopher Nolan is one of the best directors right now.
The Prestige is phenomenal. 10/10.
Tenet is very good 9.5/10
I really didn't care for Dunkirk, but you might like it. 6.5/10
And Memento was excellent as well. 9.5/10.

Epic trilogy, the only downside to it is, it set the bar so high for dc movies, they haven't been able to match it ever since! This trilogy is on par with Lord of the rings and the matrix for changing cinema. Glad you enjoyed it Major 💪 keep up the great work Bro!
They need to start bringing the magicial people cause they already did. . every single Dr Strange movie possible(except for Kane marvel studios will jack that up and upset everyone that watches on principle)

Selena Kyle is the alter ego of Catwoman in every imagination of Batman that features Catwoman. It's DC / Batman lore.

Major, this trilogy is great, I live in pgh and was working downtown when they filmed the chase scenes with “the bat”, they actually damaged one of the businesses signs when filming a scene. Super cool to watch them film this and then see how they edited on screen…

There is so much to unpack with the film. One bit that stands out is when bane fights batman the 2nd time and bane catches batman's fist, but batman screams in his face and overpowers him in that one instant. I think that was were it changed, the shear will and inner warrior spirit was at play.
The Prestige, Inception, Dunkirk. Dude doesnt make bad movies.
While I love this movie to its core and the fact that introduces Bane and poison ivy, it's sad that it was originally supposed to be a sequel to The Dark Knight until Heath Ledger couldn't play The Joker anymore. The whole plot line was supposed to be the Joker's idea and they changed it to Bane instead
The opening of this movie was filmed practically. Those are actors in actual planes hundreds of feet up in the air.
Christopher Nolan doesn't have a bad movie, they're all perfect films.

A bit late, but I HIGHLY recommend Christopher Nolan’s Memento and the Prestige. Def my favorite movies of his by far! (besides Batman Begins). Tenet is amazing also.
Another great movie with Christian Bale that I don’t see a lot of reactions to: Equilibrium. STELLAR film.

As with a lot of things, I don't think this lived up to the hype coming off the back of The Dark Knight, but it's a very decent watch. Bane grew on me, as well 😅

Rockstedy did what Nolan did with the 3 Arkham games (Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Knight) 3 of the best batman games ever.
I remember that back break from the comic books. I bought so many copies bc that cover was sick! That whole series was good. Tom Hardy absolutely killed this role.

Bane accidentally gave himself away when he said during their first fight. “I hadn’t seen the light of day until I was already a man”.
And most don't catch that Nolan gave Miranda's identity away by showing the viewer the mark on her back during her love scene with Bruce.

If i recall correctly, Joker was supposed to be the 'judge' instead of Scarecrow
What he said. I don't remember where I heard it but he was supposed to be one of the criminals bane unleashed and have a small part to play in the third act..
Just a 'fans theory' but it would have been a cool little character arc if bane tried to use joker but his immutable chaos ends up thwarting part of banes plan and indirectly aiding Batman.
Joker has always had this mentality that batman is mine to mess with, but only MINE to mess with. Imo ledger's joker was set up for some twist like that.
Major, I did not know you was as close to me as you are.. I'm from Midland, Pa originally (about 45 mins from Pittsburgh), now live in East Liverpool, Oh. (about an hour from Pittsburgh)
There more I watch this one, the more it's starting to become my favorite of the trilogy.

This is my favorite batman mm movie! And i seen them all starting from Jack Nickelson as the Joker! Down to Jim carrey as the RIDDLER, to the one with the penguin!
But this one had my favorite villain - BAIN!! played by Tom Hardy... Who is super Hott may i add lol
Batman on the big screen is epic. IMO, in the Nolan series we got the definitive Joker (best version if not comic accurate), the definitive Alfred and the definitive Lucius Fox. In the Burton Batman movies we got the definitive Catwoman. In the sub par Schumacher Batman films we got...Well in the Snyder films we got a great Batman (Batman not Bruce Wayne necesarrily) and in the last Batman film we got another good-great Batman (not Bruce Wayne). IMO the best Bruce Waynes where Bale and Keaton bar none. But the best is the Batman The Animated Series obviously which gave us the best versions of Batman/Bruce, Ras Al Ghul, Two Face, Riddler, a top tier 2nd place Joker imo, the best Harley Quinn, Clayface, Poison Ivy and an epic Mr Freeze amoung countless others.
There's a lot of interesting things going on in this film - the idea of a modern French revolution in today's growing inequality, with a layer of good Batman mythology. Bane is obviously a Napoleon figure, a revolutionary who becomes a dictator, at the head of a revolution based on equality and liberty that becomes a period of terror and executions.
Also the prison is clearly a stand-in for the Lazarus Pits that Ra's Al Ghul uses for his immortality, that heals and restores Bruce to life.

This might be a hot take. But I The Dark Knight Rises is the best Batman movie.
Idk if you've already checked out the Batman movie with the PENGUIN & CATWOMAN - showing how they became their alter villian egos.. the PENGUIN is scary AF in that one lol but it has one of the hottest catwomen IMO!
Then theres another sequel from the 90s...the one with the RIDDLER played by Jim carrey is SO good.. it has way more scenes showing the RIDDLER and 𝟸FACE in their natural elements..

I have to suggest that if you are looking to explore DC: look into the Animated universe. Such movies as Justice League Doom, Injustice, Batman Bad Blood. In my opinion, these movies are much better than the recent live actions.

Bruce and Tailya gave birth to the most dangerous asassian ever born Damian Wayne(The Fourth Robin) and he Eventually after Slade Wilson(who is killed years and he was also a member of the league of shadows) becomes the Head of the Dragon League of Shadows.
these are the Robin cap cruisader bearer's: Dick Grayson(NightWing)Tim Drake(becomes an advance robotics engineer),Jason Todd(Red-Hood) and Damian Wayne.
Terry "McGinis" Wayne from created to be Bruce son via Project Catniss never wears the robin mantle but later wears the Exo Batman Suit and eventualky marries a woman by the name of Diana.
Batman has over 15 college degrees,knows over 30 languages and is a master in over 20 different defense combat/mystic/martial arts styles..
the proteges listed as Robins: know over 10 disciplines abd styles along with their own personal techniques.
If you’re continuing on the Christopher Nolan train, I def recommend Inception. Personally I like it better than Interstellar
