VW Passat B8 2.0TDI from 2018 with 150Ps and 340Nm Top Speed on an unlimited strip of Autobahn being pushed to its limit.
VW Passat B8 has a 2.0 (1968 cc (120 cu in)) 4 Cylinder Diesel Engine with 150PS (110 kW; 146 hp) at 3500-4000 rpm and 340Nm (250 lbf⋅ft) at 1750-3000.
It is equipped with a 5-speed driving the Front wheels.
The VW Passat B8 is also sold branded as a VW Magotan

Yes, for 150 hp its not bad at all
The 1.5l TSI has the same horsepower but it is 80kg lighter. Think about the performance benefits. Diesel is no longer good.

I also have B8 with 2.0TDI 150, but DSG6. I measured acceleration today and it was 8,1s (GPS) to 100km/h (warmed up and stared from launch control). I think this is a really good result.
I was surprised that the car was so close to the vw claimed time, since it was quite wet and slippery. 8.1 is a respectable time for the size and power
I measured 9 seconds (Dragy) with my remapped Passat B8 2.0tdi 150hp (206hp & 459nm) manual gearbox. All I can say is.. wheelspin, wheelspin, wheelspin. 😂
Also doing a proper launch in car with manual gearbox gives me the feeling of something about to break, thats the reason I'm not really a fan of it. 🙁
50-120 or 100-200 is a better measurement for FWD cars, especialy when they have a decent amount of torque.
I measured 50-120kmh in 7.18 seconds.
I havent measured 100-200kmh yet, but it should be 24-26 seconds.
8.1 seconds with a stock 2.0tdi 150hp is respectable indeed. With a remap and proper warmed up tires you can get it down to 7.5 seconds

1:12 its a dual clutch transmission. Dont do that! A converter automatic can handle that but not the dsg. There is a launch control function which makes the clutch stay open.
I agree it adds wear to the clutch. But it’s still the fastest way to launch without using the launch control. Also the gearbox will limit the engine torque before the clutch will over heat.

Damn that 7th gear is quite long. The older DSG6 was a better gearbox for this engine in my opinion.
I got the same car, but I have a manual gearbox. It does 230 ish at 3600 rpm. This car seems to do 3200 rpm at the same speed.
Yeah the 7th gear has not got any other use then lowering rpm to reduce fuel consumption. The 7th wasn’t even able to hold the top speed

@@TopSpeedBrothers Not if user know how to use specific car as B8 diesel.Problem is most of the user doesn't know how DPF regen works...or what is it at all. Most people just buy diesel and think it's the same as petrol.

Wieso gehen deine Warnblinker von alleine aus beim Launch bei 1:12 kann mir das jemand sagen ?
Ich glaube vor dem Launch hat er eine harte bremsung gemacht und dabei ist die Warnblinkanlage angegangen. Darafhin ist er wieder losgefahren und das Auto „wusste“ das nichts passiert ist und hat die Warnblinker ausgeschaltet.
Ist nur eine Vermutung, gerne korrigieren falls ich falsch liege!

Very nice car! I have an Amarok TDI 2.0T but it only reaches about 170 km/h, but very nice torque.

Hi why do I have in my superb 2015, 2.0 140 diesel at speed above 200 km/h … like 4000 rotations and u at 230 km/h slightly over 3000.. interesting gearboxes
And the bitdi 239 hp 2.0 tdi is the same .. at high speed has Very high rotations Per minute, strange
My Passat b8 2.0 tdi cannot over 220 km/h running. Although I change oil in motor each 7500 km and each 15000 change air filter.
Over 230 km/h locally is good result.

I wish there was an autobahn here in canada, I once almost lost my license just for driving 140kmh on the highway (wide open no traffic and during the day), here at 150kmh you can even get a 10,000 dollar fine and 6 months in in jail and you lose your car and license.
One drove from Vancouver to Whistler and thought Canada uses mph so i drove what ever the speed sign said in mph instead of kmh :D

Meiner BJ. 2015 lief nach 180.000km+ schneller als vorher. Glaube Normal, wegen Einfahrtsphase, der lief dann auf der Graden, also nicht Bergab, kein Rückenwind, kein Heimweh mit dem 150PS 2.0TDI 240+. Fährt sich sehr angenehm, ruhig, und du hast immer ein sicheres Gefühl. Wenn ich den Passat mit nem 3er oder 5er BMW vergleiche…. Da ist in Sachen Fahrverhalten, Straßenlage, voralm in schnellen Kurven der Passat um Welten vorne.
Soll bei den 2.0tdi stark der Fall sein. Das die mit der Zeit immer besser laufen auch sollen Motoren die viel schnell und hart gefahren wurden wesentlich besser gehen als die vorsichtig Sprit Spar gefahrenen.
Besonders die 5er haben echt schlechte Serien reifen die extrem hart sind und dadurch die Autos etwas nervös bei hoher Geschwindigkeit machen. Weniger reifen Druck oder vernünftige reifen machen da einen großen Unterschied.
Aber als Langstrecken Bomber sind die Passats nicht zu unterschätzen
@@TopSpeedBrothers gibt nichts besseres. In Sachen Verbrauch und Platzangebot, sowie auch Komfort schwer zu schlagen. In den ersten beiden Punkten unschlagbar;)

Ist normal deutlich besser als der Passat. Qualität und Platzmäßig. Fährt auch über 240.
v6 halt nochmal was ganz anderes. Aber Passat fetzt schon. Bis auf den B4 gab es beim Passat nie ein schlechtes Model.
Superb ist hier Trumpf 😅😉 dagegen sieht der Passat wiederum alt aus…
