- The materials yard was booming this week as we hauled record amounts of loads for late January! As the week goes on, I started feeling sicker and sicker but my sense of teamwork kept me going but maybe I should have stayed home.
Tim Gentry talked a lot about you positively in his latest live video . Home from the hospital 👍👍
I'm a big Gentry and Sons fan!
Glad that even tho you weren’t feeling the best, you still were able to get the video done ! “Great content “ driver .
Greetings from Spartanburg, the TA & Pilot is still hear.
Enjoy your videos & great equipment that you have in them. I liked the cabover days.
Looking forward to seeing your new truck when its finished !
Oh that's fantastic! Had some good times down there!
Hey Mike hope you are feeling better. Your fans will always watch your videos. But only post a video if you feel well enough to. Take care of yourself first. Great job as always.
Thanks Russ 💯, I'll be back riding in about 8 hours 🙏
Great to show your kids what work ethic is!
I hope it's good for them or they just think I'm nuts!
CB on a board and antenna welded to a visegrip. Very Teamster. Some of those guys do relays like the Pony Express. They switched trucks twice a day. No passenger seat. Toss the bags on the floor. Two gym bags. Workboots. Pallets, kicking pallet Jack's under crapola skids. Boxes fall on your feet and 55 gallon drums. I love this story. It's classic and pretty much how many of us started out. Mine was NJ to Midwest and down to the Carolinas and back. COE Transtar 2. I started at 24. I didn't start going further until I was 28 and with a different Co. When I worked for Decker Transportation I was introduced to Party row. Naw, I'm getting hungry. I'm more a proceutto and provolone rolled up together and grapes and raisins. Baby Bell cheeses too. Safe travels and God bless and go home and go to sleep.
Love this Chris thanks for the memories!👍💯
Another Saturday night treat! Hi Mike!
Hello there!
The Rt 2 highway sign after the half assed rotary always reminds me of the movie line "And don't call me Shirley"! Hopefully a restful weekend for you.
Shirley you must be joking!😁
We call um “round abouts”, up here! Thanks Mike!
I couldn't remember the other name for the them, thanks.

Hey Boston trucker I’m a huge fan I watch all of your videos. I highly recommend either pickles or a spoonful of vinegar for throat pain. If this helps you please spread the word.
Thanks for the tip and the follow! I'll give it a try.
Feel better soon, Mike. See you in Louisville 🇺🇸
Thank you, definitely look forward to saying hello.
Dedication......a bitch sometimes, but that's the way some of us are programmed 👍🏻👍🏻.....hope you're better soon and family stays well👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you sir
Get better soon Mike! Yes I did watch the whole video! As a truck driver myself we are a rugged breed. We work through everything be it the weather or being sick!
So very true, sometimes it works against us.
We enjoyed the video Mike hope you get well soon. Being sick on the road..it's never good. Always like the back in the day stories!! 👍
Right on Pete 👍💯
Hey Mike,
Hope you’re feeling better. Your videos are some of the best out there. Watch them every time you post. Tim Gentry does also gave you a great review and watches your videos every week. Watching this video when time permits finished up Monday morning 5am

Remember the Skyliner in Scranton? Before the Petro? Twin Rocks in Hamlin PA, and others.... Flying J in Ruther Glen VA was a fave, the 76 in Ashland VA, i could go on....lol....I was sick as a dog for 2 days in a PA Pike service plaza on the NE Extension....i made so many trips to the rest rooms the gas attendant had a state trooper check on me...lol....it was awful, but we got thru it like we all did back then.....thanks for the vid, hope you feel better 💪
Dude! Twin Rocks was my spot! Now it's an IHOP.

Tim Gentry hit you up again. He said you are every truck company's dream driver. I believe he said that he would buy you a brand new truck if you went to go work for him.
I just watched that, he's the best man! Thank you for letting me know.
Get better soon Trucker! Watched the whole video, great as usual.
Thank you, I will Scott.
I remember when the Petro & TA truck stops were first in Alabama, there was a truck stop in Birmingham called Smoke city & Jack's truck stop in Cullman Alabama that's still there but bought out by Pilot or one of the corporate companies, i miss the Mom & Pops truck stops.
I remember those too.
Ya love that intro q the music thanks from Woodstock ct
Rock on!
You were in my neck of the woods in South Carolina...i live right between Spartanburg and Columbia...love your content!!
Awesome! Thank you!
I remember working sick and not calling out ! But nobody remembers ! Just saying ! Take care of yourself !
But nobody remembers lol! You're only as good as your last load as they say!👍💯
You might call it a Rotary in Mass. We call them Roundabout’s in Northern Vermont. Lol. Thanks for the ride along Boston. 😎👍🏻👍🏻
They are roundabouts in most of the UK, except in Birmingham (where I believe they were invented) where they were originally gyratory circuses and are now islands
Go Home …Rest My Friend…. We dont need a video that bad… We need you to get better…Feel Better!!!😊😊😊
Thanks DW 👍💯
Speak for yourself!! We always need a video. Feel better in all seriousness
Also Tim Gentry and FSC Trucking mention you in their videos fairly often.
That's so cool! I didn't know FSC has mentioned me.
@@TheBostonTrucker I believe the last time was the last video for the big boat
Man that scale is a tight fit!get well
It really is, one wrong move and disaster!
Hope you’re feeling better Mike! My wife and I were sick enough to watch until the end..and we felt for you. Appreciate you making a video even though you felt horrible. Keep up the great work and videos!

Thank you, I will.
Enjoyed the video! Hope you get to feeling better soon!
Thank you so much!
Truck World, HUBBARD OHIO, still a good one for O/OPs. I remember when old Bud/Meier went out of business, they were big at one time. Dick Simon, Harold Ives, RIF GRIFFINS, rip-off griffins 😂. Memories for sure…thanks 😊
Oh yes 👍💯 all good memories
Watch yours and gentry and sons every week always good content….hope your feeling better
Love the road stories mike
Now I'm living vicariously through your road trips.
@@TheBostonTrucker it's sad the road life is nothing like what you remember none of the drivers out there nowadays don't have any respect for each other
Feel better Mike 👍🤠 truck safe
Thanks Brian
@@TheBostonTrucker your welcome sir
Cool Video
Thanks!
You're Welcome
You call them rotaries we(in Jersey) call them traffic circles but they’re all but gone now we call them loam😁
That's the ticket right there
I also day dream about the ol day's and I always wore cowboy boots. I met my wife at the petro on the east side in Ontario. No she is a driver not a lot lizard 🤣 did you ever stop over on cherry Street in Ontario? Another fine establishment 😎 feel better buddy happy trails. P. S. I watched the whole video 👍 P. P. S. Don't forget to make the winter hats. P. P. P. S. The test are usually wrong.
Cherry Street was in Fontana and you're talking about Loretta's which yeah I spent some rough times there 😉
You are certainly are a sick boy. But shit has to get done, right. And also a shout out to Gentry and Son's.
You know how it is! Dirt doesn't just move itself!😁👍💯
Awesome video
Thanks!
Loved the stories. Great video Mike, thanks.
Loved the old days of trucking, with cabovers, I rode alot of miles with my Pops in the 80s & 90s, I remember the phones on the table in the booths in the truck stops.Good times ! Gentry & Sons mentioned you & said he watches all your videos. Hope you feel better bud.
Right on, we were out there with our Dad's the same time.
Another good one
Thanks again!
Great video Mike, hope you’re feeling better. I was out in Moosic Pa in early 95 for DTI. I was there 3 days training and all I heard about was broken trucks and drivers sitting so GF at time drove from Lowell Ma out to Moosic to pick me up and I had an interview next day in Berlin Ct, ended up at that job for 7 yrs, if we could be 21 and dumb again. Truck safe, watch out for SuperEgo
Don’t know how you keep those trucks and trailers from rusting
Our stuff rusts here in Texas no matter
Keep the shiny side up Driver
Everyday is a challenge!
I am about hour from the hotel 6 and Dennys it still the same like hear your story’s
That's wild! I just Google earthed it, looks the same.
Talk about tight backing with all vehicles in the lots and objects, take it nice and slow. Get out and look and if you have a spotter, use them. Nice to see how they do training, just to keep up with everything and the equipment they use for the firefighters.
Lot of construction of new roads, building development, and such. More work moving the materiel. Get well T.B.T. get well and get lots of rest when you can.
The weather up there is worse than New Jersey !!!
I run all the same material as you, and they have us sittin
down, going on two weeks 😡 I’m gonna send my boss this video. Super Job as always Mike, Stay Safe 👍
Mike there was a western sizzlin steak house in Carlisle I used to eat at a lot when I was with star we ran back and forth out of Morton, Illinois to York, Pennsylvania hauling caterpillar parts. It made me think about Carlisle when you were talking about the all-American!
Please don't be mad. I try to be factual with things when possible. But in the beginning you said that you were unplugging the glow plug on your tractor. I believe it's an engine block heater on your tractor that works well in the cold weather. Glow plugs are used in light duty diesels and are in the intake manifolds to heat cold the air coming into the engine. Love the different things you do.
Thanks for correcting me so politely, people should learn from this. Unfortunately, my mouth talks faster than my brain thinks so I say a lot of dumb stuff sometimes.
I’m one of the sick bastards that watched the whole thing get well soon Mike you’re to hard on yourself we would watch no matter what the video is
Thanks Jake
@@TheBostonTrucker not a problem driver
Feel better Mike, the whole time I was watching the vid I’m thinking the poor guy has covid.
Hahahaha
I watched the whole thing because I can relate to all of it 👍🏻😎
Thank you
I hope you’re getting better so you can fire up the angry W9 tomorrow and hit the road 👍🏻😎 I love it
I was in Omaha Nebraska and caught some sort of stomach infection. Talk about some pain. I declined narcotics so i could drive back home but that was one hard drive😂😂😂😂
Feel better Mike. Hopefully February will be a dry month and we're gaining daylight too.
Old school working man. Working through the covid. Some folks would have taken the week off. My pop would always say, " anything worth doing is worth overdoing. "
48:46 Charlie said, “you’re right, I don’t.”
People are asking me who's Charlie? I'll have to tell them again if I remember too.
Now he knows what it means to half-ass it. Who knew he could learn life lessons on here?
They call them round abouts here in Indiana. Most of them aren’t truck friendly here either and a lot of them are on state highways..
I knew there was one I forgot.
Great video Mike get some rest…
The place in Youngstown across from the 76 was called The Rebel Lounge
Oh yes it was 😁💯
Where I come from we call it top soil and roundabouts 😃
Haha 👍💯
I think you should get lots of rest and drink lots of juice and I have nice hot bull or supp and try to get better soon I love watching our videos they are very educational videos
All good stuff thank you for caring
Tim Gentry was saying how he liked your channel,
🎉We call them a round about where I come from. Lol 🇨🇦 ehh..... (rotary so strange lol)
Oh that's right👍💯
Hope you're feeling better Mike take care
Sick last week I'm all better now thank you
I used to stop at the All American back in the 70s it was the only truck stop there then now it’s a yard for Knight trans😢
We call it a roundabout
Oh that's a good one
What truck stop was in vicennes? I remember the little one at Carlisle Indiana or buslers at haubstab .
Good ol story time.
Maybe it was Princeton, somewhere closer to Evansville was a truck stop down on the right that I liked.
@@TheBostonTruckermost of the good ones are gone , just memories. I seen the end . Get well soon.
I don’t know the wick rambling were pretty good
Get well soon brother
Thank you
try this tip mike take a hot shower and put on aset of sweats double up on the blankets and you will feel a lil better feel better soon
Thank you for the tips!
WinnDixe? Vidalia onions and sweet corn on Florida Georgia line. And lots of farmers markets.
Never made it to the WinnDixie but hauled some Vidalia onions right out of southern Georgia
Dang dude you drop a vid on a Saturday night!!!
Nothing better than sitting at home all weekend while my family tries to stay away from me. 👍😁💯
Super ego is the new swift I’m telling u Mike those guys have the worst drivers 🤦🏽♂️
Apparently 🫨😉
Hey mike who makes them rear full fenders? I really like them. Thinking to get set for my coronado. Good video as always.
I watch all your videos peace n grease 😅
Thanks dude right back at ya 👍💯
3 of the people I watch are going to M. A. T. S. Justin and his wife Justruckin. Dominique, FSC, and I can't remember the 4th. It's actually 4. Yeah, FSC helped him with his ill fated trip. I don't know why you're thanking us for watching. Write Rose in basic training. Told you I was in the hospital for a month Covid, Walking pneumonia and Sepsis. 25 days. Christmas and New Years. Half in the hospital and half in the rehabilitation center. Be well
All good tubers! If you watch my Super Rigs video from Branson, Just Truckin was there in the video. I remember you were so sick, I can't imagine what that was like for you.
If you have a 53ft trailer the traffic circle is very unfriendly. Never fun when the cool stuff is broken on your brand new truck.
No doubt, don't miss the surprise ending of the video!
Hey Mike. Try this friend. Get you a hot cup of tea and put you a regular Halls cough drop in it and let it dissolve. You can put a little honey in there too if you like. Sit back and sip on it buddy, it works. I would not steer you wrong friend. Hope you get feeling better.
Sounds like a great idea!💯
Thank you for sharing even though you are sick.
I use to have my cb on a board mounted to sun visor on passenger side. What memories.
Get well soon. God bless 🙏
If it would be cat it would blow them rain caps right off lol
Lol 👍😁💯

👍👍
Hope you’re feeling better!
Every day is a show Mike every day come on back🤘🏻🤙🏻
You know it! 👍💯

Hey Mike… I am crazy enough to watch this vide, I guess is just the love for trucks, and the appreciation for guys like yourself. Feel better soon buddy. 👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏼
Much love from New Bedford.
How about an update on your EAST trailer been a minute
Hey Boston trucker will you be at gear jammer this year at the New England drag way in epping NH
I'm planning it.
@@TheBostonTrucker hope to see you there and bump into you:)
How often does Cardillo paint the trucks?
Once
All that washing is getting the wires waterlogged.
