Thank you so much! I am going back to the Spain videos (not going back literally!) I have jumbled up the order of my schedule so sorry about that! Thank you again for the super thanks Gav! You are a true gent 👍😊
Thank you for showing us, that one does not need a dedicated ADV bike or dualsport to expore unpaved roads and light trails. Lovely video and beautiful nature.
Yes when I made the comment, even a BMW GS could ride this trail that was a bit of a Freudian slip. It's such a capable bike in a professionals hands it's just most of us are not professional off road riders. For the normal 55 year old slightly rotund accountant UK type rider it's really a big bike and difficult if you get caught out and low speed on uneven terrain....
Iv got to admit when I first started watching you I thought whats this about 😂but as I watched your different videos not only has your blog if that's what you call it grown on me its now one of my favourites. Down to earth and a lot of sense spoken that the ordinary motorcyclist can relate to . Well done and that includes you suzie
Really turning into an excellent tour. The BSA seems quite at home on the unmade roads. I love your reference to Steam rollers. We all do it In the late 60, early 70s I had a friend who's father had one and we used to ride on it to rallies, so I am a little familiar with them. I think in 100 years when they run on zero point energy, they will still be called steam rollers and no one will remember the relevance. Unless kids are still watching Thomas the tank engine. 😂
Thanks for the comment Tim, if I could just soften up the front a little it would be perfect. I'm thinking some progressive springs or something. Oh and with regards to Steam rollers I used to love watching those Fred Dibnah programmes as a kid, he was really passion and would have made a great RUclips Channel! Cheers, Sean
Well done indeed! In the spirit of your commanding mastery of Spanish: ¡Excelente! Una demostración muy varonil de fortaleza testicular. ¡El atento matador de dos ruedas se enfrenta a las poderosas vacas en libertad! Trust me when I say, you are braver and a far better off road rider than I ever was or will be! And the hotels you stay in far surpass what I can get here in the Estados Unidos de América! The last time I went "off road" I went over the bars and into a cactus. This of course caused the crew that was building out the set for the final episode of the original run of "The X-Files" near the (in)famouse Salton Sea to laugh their collective buttocks off and I don't blame them one bit. Thank you for bringing us all along. This is more than most owners of sAdventure BIkes will dare to try and ride on. Again, well done my friend! Keep putting the great back into Great Britain! SS in Hades (commiefornia) but now with the AC on!
Great tip on the place to get cash out. I tell everyone who will listen to get cash from Sabadell and always euros. And yes very, very impressed Sean. Your Spanish has come on leaps and bounds 👍 You’ll be speaking like a local soon. Yes Blanes, Costa Brava. Great base for motorbiking around the coast and the hills of Catalunya…🏍️
Following you on this trip has been a breath of fresh air after all the recent negativity surrounding motorcycling and the Gold Star. Puts people in the mood to start planning for next year's adventure 👍😎. Did a similar sort of thing some years ago with a friend and called the trip "Run to the sun", finished the trip riding behind a snow plough in Spain 😂😂
the way you ride Sean is the way everyone should, safe for yourself and others and with time to take in the scenery, loving this road trip just subscribed
Another great video of your Spanish adventures on the Gold Star. It's such a capable do-it-all bike. The B65 street scrambler is rumoured to be priced at around £6,500 and although it has longer travel suspension, there's no indication if it's branded and better quality than the Gold Star (RE's Bear has Showa suspension front and rear). It's also heavier than the Gold Star at 218kg kerb weight (against the Goldie's 201kg), and claimed fuel consumption drops alarmingly from over 70mpg down into the 50's for some reason. I'm looking forward to seeing the B65 at the NEC tomorrow, but my Gold Star is definitely a keeper because like you, it suits my preferred riding style nowadays.
Mate what a ride, and to be honest you wouldn’t be doing anything different on a adventure bike to what you are doing now / then 😂 great adventure bud well done you, rain, what a bugger on that great road, French and Spanish lay race quality tarmac compared to to most Europe Germany and the Swiss don’t do to bad either. But always a blast, what speed do you reckon you were averaging Sean, a rough guess, ….. Pete 🇫🇷
Hi I toured western Spain in may,,, and I wild camp (at least 3 out of 4days) then splashed out on a nice hotel... I like the mountains but loved the lower sparsely populated areas of Spain..... Just regarding going off tarmac... its not so much breaking down ,,its punctures that are the issue..Modern tyres are very difficult to remove with irons. Tubeless wheels on cheap bikes cannot come soon enough for me...
It’s all about how the weight of the bike is distributed. A low ish BSA will handle the trails better than a tall adventure bike except for the suspension of course. So ridden at a slower pace should be manageable subject to ground clearance limitations. I have driven a Prius off road but regretted it when driving the rutted sections 😊
You really are very brave taking the BSA with its budget suspension over those roads i hope you haven't shaken it to bits. Had to laugh when you said you don't think you'll get much for it if you trade it in, you KNOW you won't. Don't forget if BSA actually introduce a scrambler version all you will need to do is wait for 12 months until they slash it's price by 25% or more then buy it.
Hi Ian, I've stated in a previous video that my bike is worth a trade in for a Zontes 125cc and half a twix bar. No pulling the wool over anyone's eyes here. I couldn't be more clear that it's devalued a lot 👍👍 plus ive scratched my fuel tank, cheers, Sean. P.s I wouldn't buy the scrambler as it's delayed until April and I'm not getting my hopes up tbh. Plus no one will tell me anything about the suspension, even the RE bear is 120mm travel. I assume both new scramblers will he street bikes dressed up and so not a goer for me...
Mate that graded road you've just riden was just about OK but your previous video on that logging track really was a step to far to my mind, it was scary to think what would have happened if you had gobbed it, I'm sure there was no phone signal and if you had been injured and not been able to ride it could have turned out very badly, to me those types of adventures should be in groups of three for safety's sake, ride safe
Awesome Spain series Sean, loving the scenery and your commentary. Very inspiring ride! Cheers, Gav

Thanks, although I would have wanted a bit softer suspension!
What a great demonstration of the capabilities of the BSA. I think you've been tackling more off-road trails than most UK BMW GS owners!

Thanks Chris, that's kind of you to say. There's no plan really 😂😂. There's another Suzie vid scheduled tomorrow 😊

Excellent video. Amazing landscape!!! You & the BSA more than capable on the terrain.
Thank you Nialls, appreciate that. Yes I'm happy with the BSA. No need for a RE Bear 650 although that would he nice...
Fair play to you attempting that track Sean, the BSA did well too 👍
Enjoy the watch. Some lovely track road you traveled on. Great view too.
The BSA nailed it Sean.😊
Retro style, unmatched power - that's Jawa.

Haha Bob, it was very mixed weather on this trip but the coast is called Costa Verde, as it does rain 🌧 😄

Thanks for that kind comment Graeme, that's very much appreciated 👏
Another great video Sean.
Thank you Wayne that's kind. I hope you are having a great weekend!

Rider and bike doing well. Well done Sean. Enjoyed the ride out and scenery. Until the next time, Bfn Mike Sunny Wales
o Yeah forgot to add ,I,v bought a BSA its coming tomorrow ,,,,,,cannot wait
Oh wow, congrats. Which one did you opt for?
Mate what a ride, and to be honest you wouldn’t be doing anything different on a adventure bike to what you are doing now / then 😂 great adventure bud well done you, rain, what a bugger on that great road, French and Spanish lay race quality tarmac compared to to most Europe Germany and the Swiss don’t do to bad either. I agree if I had a puncture I would not be able to get the wheel off. Even then can you get it back on and have the bead seated correctly?
With a reputation for durability, BSA bike are well-built and designed to withstand the test of time, offering long-lasting performance.
👌Very good watch Cheers👌
I have to say I was getting vertigo. I hope BSA are seeing this😀.
Was good fun, let's see how the BSA scrambler looks. The Bear is a little road focused for me...

Enjoyable as usual but please stop continually checking your indicators ! It’s good to check but not every 100 yards.
I can't promise that sorry George. It's become part of the channels MO now 😀😁
These videos certainly show you don’t need to spend a fortune on an adventure bike to have a great adventure.
Thanks Bandit man, agreed 👍
When you are off track or even on road. What is your thoughts about a puncture?
Mate that graded road you've just riden was just about OK but your previous video on that logging track really was a step to far to my mind, it was scary to think what would have happened if you had gobbed it, I'm sure there was no phone signal and if you had been injured and not been able to ride it could have turned out very badly, to me those types of adventures should be in groups of three for safety's sake, ride safe
Good point Stefano 👍
Am I right in thinking you are from Worcester
hay get Bear Grylls on a BSA...haha
Early 2000's is 20 years ago , inflation?
Yes spot on, even since 2016 things have gone up a lot...
