Vergil DMC5 - Easy Starting Combo for Beginners (Quick A Rank!)

- Easy and reliable combo to start encounters with, has some nice aoe at the end for clearance, and mostly requires moves you don't have to purchase.
The combo proceeds as follows: Yamato Combo A - Rapid Slash - Air Trick - Upper Slash and (hold + timed release) into Judgement Cut - Trick Up - Aerial Rave A - (Swap to Beowulf) Starfall - (Swap to Mirage Edge) Stinger - Taunt (unless you're about to get whacked lol).
Also, feel free to throw some JCs before the Starfall. See the comments for some extra tips.
Vergil is definitely a good beginner character. The perfect judgement cuts aren't too hard to learn, and he really feels powerful when you play as him, even if you're just starting out.
As a Vergil 5 main, I don’t think he’s that good for a beginner to play tbh. His play style is really tech demanding because of the lack of options you have with him

LMAO, u mean spamming like 123 and 321 :))) Let me guide you, Vergil is good for beginner cuz he is just a cow of CAPCOM so nothing changed so much. Instead, he is Alpha and Omega so he can JC and got lot dmg to suffer, i bet you never watch Vergil freestyle or motivated wombo combo so u think he is ez . Like Nero, the thought they got is snatch and tap tap , the hardest deadweight is Table Hopper and Max-act.

He's easier than Dante, sure (and V too arguably), but I'd be shocked to see a beginner try both Nero and Vergil and find the latter easier.
fun fact, if shoot right after the final hit, it cancels the knockback

a single mirage blade can cancel most knockbacks

@@crispyjuice2110the first "tech" I learnt with dmc4 Vergil was Summon Sword-cancel Air Stingers with jump cancel, which meant you could infinite air stinger an enemy with good timing.
In dmc5, it is basically free with how huge the enemy hitboxes are for jump cancels and/or Vergil's even more busted normal Trick.
Mirage Blade cancels are great for ground stinger or his Drive, and other moves I forget now, is basically his version of Dante's E&I in combos.

An actual easy combo for those who've Unlocked every move: Rising Star, Aerial Rave B into Lunar Phase, Helm Breaker, Drive, Over Drive, Air Trick, Void Slash, Judgement cut.
If you want to get a bit spicy, add Kick 13 and Sky High instead of Void slash and Judgement cut, then Aerial Rave B, Void Slash, and Judgement cut.

It doesn't work if you bought upper slash 2 and since i bought it i had to change a few stuff myself. Still thanks for the video. The combo is: (everything's the same until upper slash) upper slash 2 (hold and release) judgement cut, aerial rave a, air trick, lunar phase, stinger, taunt
Upper slash 2 is a variation of upper slash. U can still use upper slash, just don’t hold the input, u can also use upper slash release and quickly hold the input and do a JC or PJC.

This was really easy as hell, after i was trying to master dante first of all in this game, every other character is just easy. Guess dante rly is the hardest character in this game

at the enhd of that combo i would do overdrive just to add way more damage if the enemies still alive at that point i just need to learn the combo looks like it would come in handy
how do I do judgement cut while he is in the air?
Do you mean at about 10sec? It's been a while since I played but I'm pretty sure you just do it normally... after pressing O (or wtv you use for the slash) for the upward strike, just hold it and release at the right time; it doesn't matter if the enemy's in the air or not
Search "perfect judgment cut"
you hold y or triangle and the second teh guard touches the sheath release it and it'll do a perfect judgment cut
