I used the same company earlier this year and I've always wanted to try a set of mizuno,s so as I retired in March I used some of my leaving present on a set of mizuno jpx ez forged irons from 2013 and they still go OK. Now I have a course you can go and have a whack on and I know it's a bit of a journey but a james braid links course, Dunstanburgh Castle Northumberland I played it in the the late 80,s whilst stationed near by, you,ll love it 😊, I shan't say anything about the 13th....and Foxton Hall and a 9 hole Alnmouth links are also close by and good fun, I keep promising myself to go back and play them again.
Love the MP33’s, favorite irons I’ve ever had. Still have them, but don’t strike them as crisply, so I’m shopping for something with a touch more forgiveness. Nothing like them when they’re PURED! Shoulda used 3W or driving iron on the 2nd hole to take the hazard out of play, vs hoping for the perfect drive…that’s golf!
I know the feeling of hitting blades better than my regular irons, for the short term. I find that I try to do a lot less with my blades. I don't shape shots or take on questionable pins. I aim middle of the green and focus entirely on the strike. I wonder if that is what James is experiencing, when he talks about striking his blades so well? Good content Mr. Robinson
M5 3 wood. Makes my list! Nice!! Honma driver, ok, I guess? MP33 very nice choice. Raw finish Vokeys are mine also. (Oil can). That putter hosel placement is very good. You could have picked up an old PAL 2 BECU by ping. Very less expensive. Very nice set!!
You actually had a quadruple bogey on 15, with two penalty shots for playing from a wrong place. You can’t take lateral relief from a yellow penalty area.
After watching your video picking out your set I realised that Golf clubs 4 cash had a store locally. I always thought it was online only. The guys there really helped me out and I ended up coming out with some p790s and a nice o-works putter. They gave me a great trade in for my ap1s. What a place !
Love my MP33’s! I keep putting other irons in the bag Hogan Ft worth 15’s , KZG blades. Nike TW Victory red and Mizuno MP15’s but I always come back to the MP33’s . Second hand is a great choice if you can find clubs in good condition. Love the on course vlogs!
Nowadays, you can ground your club in the penalty area. Do keep up! Love the clubs, except the putter isn't worth all that money as an actual putter. Probably keep its value though for when you sell it to buy baby clothes.

They are now called 'penalty areas' not hazards and you can also remove loose impediments and take practice swings etc. See rule 17.1b "The player may either: - Play the ball as it lies without penalty, under the same Rules that apply to a ball in the general area (which means there are no specific Rules limiting how a ball may be played from a penalty area) - Play a ball from outside the penalty area by taking penalty relief under Rule 17.1d or 17.2."
I played the MP32 blades years ago and I loved them more than anything I have played since. Just feel sooooo good. I like the used club videos, I am not likely to buy anything new unless it is on ebay or something.
good vid per usual!!!!!! made me go out and get my favorite mizuno's MP64's......decent bag thrown together although never used the honma gear,or the PXG.....putter was a bit expensive but that could have been titleist bling😮......it would be nice to see 18 holes with the clubs you acquired v modern day equivalent😂😢😮
Not MP33s, but I just picked up a 3-PW set of MP-60s with True Temper S300 shafts at a charity shop (or ‘thrift store’ as the locals say) here in the US for only $20!! $3 per club and a discount! Unreal. New grips going on and I’m cleaning them up for my son to learn with. Looking forward to trying them out myself too. Luckiest charity shop find so far!
The mp33s are fantastic clubs. I have the Mp 14s which is a very similar design but a little older. I just found myself using them more and more and now they found a home in my bag.
Not in the UK but I got a full bag with only one new club. I got a mizuno st200x driver for $150.00(from 2nd hand golf),mizuno jpx919 5-gap graphite shafts(local shop not in my specs different story) for $600, and an odyssey rossi for $50.00. Added a titleist ts2 3 wood for $125.00(rock bottom golf). Only new club is a sub 70 hybrid for $139.00
Trouble left. Line up with left bias and hit a draw. "How did that happen?" Maybe hit a fade. Maybe aim right. Or, hit the three wood, to get in the fairway. LOL I've tried them all. None of them work.

How do you make a double? Drive into a hazard, miss the green from a side hill lie, chip and two putts. Easy. I do it or something similar almost every round!😭
The driver doesnt sound great at all. Love the putter. I wanted to love the sm9's but they couldn't get my sm8's out of the bag. To be fair the sm8's are my favorite wedges I have ever hit so it was always going to be really hard to get them out of the bag.
Great video as always. What you need to do is a video on golf towels because you don’t own one. You have to learn to clean your clubs off while playing. Just kidding with you. 😂 Great choice of clubs
Perhaps a bit too much "negativity" on the course. Positive thoughts can certainly save strokes. A round with a sports psychologist would make for a good video.
The sound of your "dream driver" is nasty. Put that back on the shelf and get a better one. As for the irons...yes they are lovely looking but in reality...not a good choice! Dream set need adjustment!
