The musical term you are looking for are "phrases" and "phrasing". Master that, and your cuts will sound more natural. Some beatmatching skills are also useful 😊
Learned something new today 😁🙏🏻

This is one of the reasons I'm still using Premiere Pro as they have the auto remix function. I really hope it will be added to DR in an update soon.
this is the answer I was looking for but not hoping for. I was using this in Premiere as well and only as time went by I did find out how many functions I missed.
Adding the dead space in-between the end of one clip and begining of another was a great tip. Sounds very professional. I will be using that, thank you
Most welcome 👊🏻💥
Great video, Joris - I love the idea of dropping into a music track wherever you want 🤘.
Much appreciated as always, Joris 🙏🤘
Thank you! exactly what I was looking for!
Crossfade is what ive been looking for. Im so glad you always shows the necessity skills in DR!
Thank you Joris, I was actually hoping for this, I dont miss Premier, but the remix tool is the only thing I do miss it.
There are actually some DR plugins to replace that feature. Can't remember any names though 🤔
@@JorisHermans really 😯
Good tips because we eventually face the situation one sooner or later, first it s a bit “just like that” then when you learn to use DVR a bit better you do it better but your tips are valuable ! Thanks
This is awesome!!!! Thank you 🙏🏾
Thanks for doing this one 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Duuuude! I am going crazy for my short for this exact reason. Much appreciated man! Keep rocking like a hurricane. The timing is cosmetic
👊🏻💥
Thanks for advices! I didn’t know about cross fade.
Pure Genius.
Super effective 🎶🎶 Thanks
Decent video. Thanks
You are ORIGINAL brah!!!. love your videos and all the hard work you put into them
🙏🏻🔥
Good tips! I also use to put markers to visually identify the music beats.
Great tip!
Or just import the audio/music into Adobe Audition and use the Remix tool to extend or shorten the audio to the exact minutes and seconds you want.
Then import it to DR or other editing software.
Thing is, when I take out the trash, I don't want to bring it in again... 😅
Thanks! :D youre the kind of person i like to watch so subscribe :D
good stuff.... this is useful information... more please..?
On it! 😎🙏🏻
I have been wondering about this. I just switched to davinci and premier pro has a audio Remix Tool and it was so helpful. I wish davinci had the same tool
What does the remix tool do? Similar to what I showed here?
@Joris Hermans love your vids by the way. But ya it is a tool that you can lengthen and shorten the clip to what ever length you want and it will automatically find the beats to sync together. I think it's an AI technology. It made it so easy to shorten or lengthen a song. ruclips.net/video/4zSq57wxcJM/видео.html
@@finalstartfitness4473 damn yeah, hope DR gets something like that soon 😵
@Joris Hermans I know right!! Thanks so much for replying!! Your vids are really helpful for me learning davinci 😁 I really appreciate you bro
@@finalstartfitness4473 remix tool, transcribe and the coming soon text-based edit mode. Impossible to quit Premiere
I alway watch your video for good naration of story
Hy Joris your tutorials are amazing, I learned a lot but one thing I can't find in your content. How can I adjust the video file to audio beat manually, in sub frame mode, fine tuning if you know what I mean? Because all the time when I tried this it's jumping a frame and it's not ok, it's not synced with the audio perfectly.
Not entirely sure if I understand but I think what you should do is unlink the video from audio and then turn of the magnetic snapping. It's the magnet icon and the one next to it. And then you can adjust it manually much more precise.
@@JorisHermans I've done that but even after that, I can't adjust precisely, if you want to put on the beat you can't, because it's jumping over or before the beat. It would be very useful for music video making. For the audio file it's possible but for the video not, I can do the moving by frames and it's not enough, sometimes the beat comes between frames.
Damn, these tips are gold!! Thanks Joris!
Will definitely try these tips out in my next videos.
2:46 what are the shortcut button for that cut?
When I cut an audio track it deletes the whole thing. It doesn't work the same as when I split a video track and can delete the split portion only.
Here's hoping you recover from your mind-fog at the end of your very helpful video! 🤣🤣Fortunately for me as a career mathematician, I was able to follow your theory. And I'm about to cut my first music up in Resolve- thanks for this guidance. 👏🎵
🙏🏻🔥
Great tutoria! But your sense for music and rythm is way better than mine. When I do a hardcut it sounds like the musican had a hickup. :-)
Practice makes perfect I guess 🤔
This is one of the reasons I'm still using Premiere Pro.
Petition to bring "remix tool" from premiere to davinci!
I'm not gonna lie I didn't think any of these were gonna be a good as they were
But it said it in the title: like a PRO! 😎 Thanks man, much appreciated! 🙏🏻
