- This Excursion maybe a bad idea. We booked swimming with pigs in Nassau, Bahamas.
After our swimming pigs excursion, we thought that maybe that was a bad idea. I am sharing my experience with this swimming pigs excursion in this video.

We snorkeled at Pearl Island last year and it was amazing. No problems whatsoever.

It was a lot of fun. Enjoy and watch your fingers. They told us to have your hands up because they might think your fingers are hot dogs. Have fun!
Thanks for the advice. I'm going in August and doing this excursion. My wife is afraid of getting eaten by sand bugs. Did you have issues with this? Thanks again. Brian
No, I didn't really have issues with sand bugs or any sand fleas. I had a lot of those on me when I was in Hilton Head not too long ago, but no I walked around bare foot with no issues. Hopefully, she will experience the same. I do not like sand bugs. I was scared of the pigs stepping on my feet. LOL. When you are on the beach look for conch shells. There are usually several up along the shore. Have fun :)

I have to ask because i wanted to try this excursion also. How much was it?
I don't remember exactly how much it was as we were on an Elite cruise with Carnival and our shore excursion was free. How long did you spend on pearl island ?
It was roughly 3 hours on Pearl Island and then roughly 45 minutes with the pigs. After the swimming with the pigs the boat brought us back over to Pearl Island (which was just a couple minutes away) and then another boat took us back to the ship. All in all it was roughly a 4 hour excursion.
