- Is the popular Nassau excursion Pearl Island better than Blue Lagoon Island? I recently visited Nassau onboard the Celebrity Edge and took the cruise line sponsored excursion to Pearl Island. Months earlier I had visited Blue Lagoon during a port call to Nassau onboard the Carnival Mardi Gras.
In this video I will show you what a day at Pearl Island is like - including the beach, the free lunch, and the lighthouse. Then I will let you know the truth: is Pearl Island better than Blue Lagoon?! Which should YOU choose on your next visit to Nassau and the Bahamas?

Just curious... Pearl Island may be better with better weather. We are considering it with royal Caribbean. It seems to be a 5 hour excursion for $78. So better value. Same lunch of course. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I've only done Blue Lagoon and I wasn't really impressed. So it looks like I've even be more unimpressed with Pearl Island. I don't understand why they are always in such a rush to get you back to ship. 1pm seems ridiculously early especially when most ships don't leave till around 5. Next time for me there's a beach walking distance from the pier. haha

You seemed apprehensive about saying yr excursion wasn't 100% perfect. Don't feel guilty for saying things that are not so positive. Not everything in life is always good. Its good to know you felt is was over priced.... from what you showed, I was thinking the same. Its OK to be negative in reviews.

Did anyone do a NON Beach oriented excursion? We are thinking maybe ATV but see mixed reviews. Also possible Atlantis but not sure enough time will be allowed to warrant the stiff $175 fee

Blue Island I did the Private Beach Experience. I have a vlog on that one, too, which I think you also commented on. Definitely prefer Blue Lagoon over Pearl Island!

How long is the boat ride to the island?
It’s about a 30-40 minute ride over from the ship.
I was not impressed with pearl island. There was only one paddle board and they were feeding the fish rice

Please do not use this service. We left an item on the island and refused to return it. I’ve tried to reach out to them over three days and no one has responded. Please go elsewhere.
Been to Blue Lagoon several times & we like it. Not impressed with Peal Island.

Blue lagoon practically has no water... Every time I've been there water was like a foot deep... Not possible to swim at all!
Lunch looks crappy , glad I read reviews , husband hates fish , not a lot of variety , looks boring too , where’s the dessert??
