I don't understand this hate. As an unbiased, credible film critic he's supposed to understand and encourage all kinds of cinema. To try dissect the motivation behind their films. This social media age riddled with hate speech disguised as freedom of expression makes it easy for us to quickly jump to conclusions and judge someone. Probably, BR wanted to bring out Vivek's side of the story to all this drama and chaos around his films. It's just his job and this is just an interview. Peace out.

Not a big fan of VA on Twitter. But people getting riled up with Kashmir files is so funny. For that matter, the movie diluted the actual violence that happened. The movie gave a voice to the thousands who fled Kashmir valley facing the barrel of terror. Saying that their misery should never be shown on screen is precisely the same as suppressing voices that are oppressed.
Raliv, Galiv, ya Chaliv - have people forgotten this call? Look up what it means! This really did happen. The incidents in the movie really did happen, and worse actually.
The movie never showed anything against the minority. It showed a minority being oppressed violently, eradicated even, and definitely chased away from, a place which it once thrived in, and called its own.

And if you think Kashmir file is propoganda then you need to look at world where there is muslim majority population and minority has been asked to leave , convert or k*ll . Infact the fact that from the very beginning their was a monopoly of specific political stories contributed to the lack of development of alternative political stories relative to the mainstream. Also I think the use of political spectrum is just for convenience of the mind to use labels and categories , but unfortunately most people think that they have to think and act exactly according to a strict labelled group which they think they are in rather than creating their world view from ground up, in fact i think most people other than actual honest geniuses should just live their personal life and learn from that and always try to better themselves, rather than trying to pretend some global social scientist intellectual who feed their ego and give them a sense of purpose and think they are better than others while being in a closed labelled group

For all his neutral stand, did BR ask any question on how this man's movie flamed division and hate in India, with open calls of violence inside the theaters? Vivek Agnihotri monetised & weaponised the suffering of a community to spread hate.
In his latest movie also, in his own words, he is hardly interested in patients, doctors or those who died during CoVid. He is only interested in defending the Government's interests & cover up the entire failure that was second wave of CoVid.
BR giving him a platform to air his lame defenses is enabling/legitimising his propaganda. It is not like Vivek Agnihotri did not have other plarforms to talk. His fredom of expression is definitely not in danger. As a well known critic with so much SM influence, BR should have been more responsible. Extremely disappointed.
