Exactly 30:43 Many composers around the world use this technique. It isn't copying it is known as sampling. Copying is regurgitating verbatim and rebranding it as yours. Sampling is remixing and making it something different.

Yeto vellipoindi manasu songs are damn good and I remember watching the film 3 times in theatre just because of Raja sirs BGM. (I don't know why GVM sir feel that this album didn't reach the audience) I believe it's been close to 8 years and still the album is fresh.

I'm from Hyd & all movies & music that I saw of his was dubbed (sometimes bilingual Tamil/Telugu ) from Tamil.. but given his urban stories non of the films/music have Tamil flavour.. they're very universal.. making music success in one language is a task.. imagine repeating that magic in two languages..😍💃✌

It's so interesting how over time as I've grown up through various stages of my life, my go to songs from GVM movies keep changing. Idhu Naal Varaiyil from AYM and Pachaikili Muthucharam are some absolutely underrated songs.
