Hi fellows, I'm pretty nervous about posting this one as this is probably not the normal modelling content that you may expect from me.I know most of you know me because of tanks and military model, but from time to time, I really want to show another side of my creations. This work has been displayed in that gallery for 2 weeks now building up orders. I just hope it may bring sth new to the table, maybe I post too little. please tell me what you think and worry not, I will post a warship model next time 😉
As a war history enthousiast doing metal detecting I am currently working as a restorer on vintage design arts and furniture. I think it is part of a healthy mindset to seek balance in destruction aswell as creation of beauty in any way. You're a master of the arts of modelling. The things you post are produced with such quality it's just impossible to comlain about it
I am glad to see you did "something" "different." I believe "we," modelers, have limited ourselves to just assembling kits and never attempted to "create" through modeling. I sustain (and I told the current IPMS-USA President, Dave Lockhart) that this is the fundamental reason our hobby is dying here in the United States. I congratulate you for what you did and hope that many other modelers free their minds about what we can accomplish and earn new adepts. Modeling is basically architecture, engineering, tinkering, and art.
@BayinWu I saw this video yesterday and I was very moved. I mean, it connected to me on a deep emotional level. This is a great piece. Now I'm looking for a video of it in operation.
